2. Clearly inform about specific words "violating" community standards when generating art

   I think when 'one or more words' violate the guidelines, Illustrator should clearly inform us what words these are exactly.
   I guess this can be used for a bad cause, like to gather the database of restricted words... but I don’t understand why normal users should suffer because of this.

3. They won't let me generate an MLK Jr. illustration for my MLK day design

   I run a Ryzen 5 5500U MSI laptop and my Adobe Illustrator is the latest one from 2025.

   I literally tried the most well-explained prompt so it leaves no confusion at all. But still in the middle of the process it gets terminated. Please take a look at my prompt,

   "Create a clean, minimalist, and bold 2D illustration of Martin Luther King Jr. that highlights his facial features and expression. Focus on capturing the essence of his kindness, wisdom, and leadership. The portrait should be simplified with smooth, stylized lines, emphasizing his eyes, smile, and iconic facial characteristics. Use subtle shading to create depth while maintaining a modern, graphic, and easily recognizable design. Include a color palette that aligns with MLK Day—preferably warm tones, with contrasts that give the illustration a strong, positive, and inspirational vibe. The design should be suitable for use in a social media post, so ensure it’s clear, impactful, and visually striking."

4. Pasted/embedded images are sporadically appearing or disappearing depending on scroll direction

   When opening an ai file with V29.2 on Windows 11 utilizing a RTX a2000 laptop (Firmware 553.50) embedded and linked images appear and disappear depending on scrolling direction. This renders the program completely unusable. This bug does not appear in V28.7.3

5. Locking child objects in a locked top layer is not respected when the layer is unlocked and won’t toggle back

   If I have a layer locked and I click a pale lock icon next to a child item, the lock becomes solid, as if I am overriding the 'the parent is locked' status... but it can’t be toggled back.

   More of it, I expect this overridden status to stay when I unlock the parent — instead it gets dropped.

7. CC Libraries don't retain Lab values of swatches

   If you create a color with Lab values in Illustrator or InDesign and add it to a CC Library, it will convert to CMYK in a new .indd doc and RGB in a new .ai file. We work in Lab 99.9% of the time, so this is super frustrating. We have a database of custom color mixes/names. It would save us a ton of time if we could use CC Libraries for this.

   The crazy thing is... if you make a rectangle with a fill of a custom spot color with lab values and save it as a Graphic, it works fine. So why don't regular old swatches behave the same?

8. Illustrator 2025 forgetting dialog box preferences and reverting to default settings, especially after closing or crashing.

   New update to Illustrator 2025 seems to have issues with reverting back to interface defaults as if the app was never opened.

   Example panels reverting back to default: missing fonts or font activation panel, pantone blue reminder alert strip, save dialog asking to save locally or via cloud — pretty much anything with a "don't show this again" box, Illustrator seems to forget at least a few times per week.

   It also seems to be reverting keyboard shortcut commands back to default presets, though retains custom presets — you just have to go back into the keyboard shortcuts panel and change to your saved preset.

   App also seems to crash more often, currently upon saving / exporting out to other file types. Every time it crashes it seems to forget all the items above.

   Seems like it just has a couple bugs with the 2025 release that need to be worked out. Thanks!

   • OS: MacOS Sequoia 15.1.1.

   • Illustrator version: 2025 (29.1)

   • Steps taken when issue experienced: most often when illustrator crashes, usually after saving/exporting to PDF, JPEG or PNG (crash intermittent but more than normal). Also while app is still open but opening a new illustrator file that is already in version 2025 (not converting). And sometimes just intermittently or seemingly random without obvious cause or crash.

   • Expected result: for the app to remember preferences like keyboard shortcuts; not to show dialog or reminders after checking the "don't show this again" box; to remember save preference after choosing local vs cloud.
   • Actual result: opposite of expected result (prefs revert back to default)

9. Character Information in the Properties Panel does not work

   The following bugs did I found while working with text (selected):
   - Font selection is blank
   - Font search does not give a result
   - Font style does not update
   - Colour does not update or shows a wrong colour

   This all happens even though the Character Panel works fine.

10. [Win11 23H2] Illustrator 29.1 Doesn't See Installed CMYK Color Profiles

    By default, no installed CMYK color profiles are visible in either Edit > Color Settings > Working Spaces > CMYK and View > Proof Setup > Customize... > Device to Simulate.

    They become temporarily visible again after deleting the following files:

    1) C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Color\ACECache11.lst

    2) C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Color\ACEConfigCache2.lst

    Sometimes I also have to reboot the system to make the profiles visible.

    Unfortunately, the above solution works only once. After creating a new Illustrator files for the second time, all the profiles are gone again.

11. 保存後、再度開くと文字スタイルがリセットかつ適用できない箇所が一部発生

    文字スタイルの不具合が２点。
    いずれも、クラウドドキュメント（.aic）で保存したファイルを、次の日開いたら発生。

    1. 適用していた文字スタイル（標準文字スタイル）が解除され、再度どの文字スタイルを選択しても適用されない

    2. 適用していた文字スタイル（標準文字スタイル）の部分が文字化けし、設定していないフォントに書き換えられる

    正直、保存→ファイルを開くだけで、こんな不具合が出るのは非常に困ります。尚且つ、1.の再度文字スタイルが選べない = 復旧できないは致命的です。
    XDに近い、テキストスタイルはとても便利な機能なので、早急に安定活用できるよう改善お願いいたします。

    1. 選択箇所のように、サイズ10級にしていた箇所が、フォント種、サイズなどめちゃめちゃになり、スタイルの再設定もできない

    1. 1.と同様の「標準文字スタイル」箇所が勝手に他のフォントに設定され、尚且つ文字化けを起こしている

12. 縦組みのエリア内文字のスレッドテキストオプション作成が正常に機能しない

    macOS 14.7.2
    Illustrator ver.29.1

    Step to reproduce
    1.縦組みのエリア内文字を作成する
    2.矩形ツールで矩形を描く
    3.エリア内文字と矩形を選択してメニュー「書式→スレッドテキストオプション→作成」を選択する。
    4.矩形が縦組みエリア内文字に変換されるが、スレッドテキストにはならずエリア内文字のコンテンツがコピーされた状態になる。

    期待する動作
    矩形がスレッドテキストとして正常にリンクされる。

    実際の結果
    スレッドテキスト→作成を実行してもスレッドテキストとならずコンテンツの状態もおかしい。

    回避策
    Tツールを使って手動でスレッドテキストをリンクさせる。

    縦組みに対するスレッドテキストオプションの挙動は全般おかしく、エリア内文字や矩形の構成や状態によって挙動が異なる場合がありますが、全般的に意図した通りに動作しない。
    また、おかしくなったエリア内テキストを手動でリンクさせようとするとIllustratorがクラッシュします。

13. Extrude on the 3D Materials panel is inaccurate.

    The extrude function does not extrude by the amount I type in.
    It used to work on my desktop but never on my laptop and now it works on neither. It extrudes but by less than a third of whatever I type in. Don't know why this happens or why its started doing it on my desktop too.

    I find it eliminates the usefulness of the whole 3D Materials panel.

14. The Illustrator was not responding every time I tend to save new file

    Once I open Illustrator, it functions smoothly. I can open and save a copy of an existing files without any problems. However, when I click 'New File' and attempt to save it, the program consistently crashes with and became unresponsive.

    I tried saving the recovered file, but it also hangs and 'not responding' when I click 'Save' in the File menu. I even restarted my computer to see if that would resolve the issue, but I'm still unable to save a new file.

    I hope you can assist me with this problem.

    OS: Windows 10
    Illustrator version: 29.1 and even the 28.7.3

16. CPU Preview Forced when Apple Wide Color images placed

    Bug:
    - Place a linked image into an illustrator file that has a color profile of "Apple Wide Color Sharing Profile"
    - Note that the preview mode switches to "CPU" and you are unable to switch back.
    - Restarting Illustrator has no positive effect.

    Workaround:
    - Change the color profile of the placed image to something else like "sRGB IEC61966-2.1" and restart Illustrator.

    Expected Behaviour:
    - Placing an image of any color profile does not change the view mode - - OR - - Illustrator should warn the user that the incoming image contains a color profile that Illustrator will have to adapt to manage, allowing the user to make an informed choice.

    My setup:
    - Illustrator 29.2
    - Mac OS 15.1.1
    - Macbook M4 Pro Max, 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD

    Bug:

17. Why the the FONT i used are NOT LONGER AVALIABLE in Adobe premiere pro?

    Hi Adobe community, a few weeks ago I updated a new Adobe Premiere version and since then the font I was using has changed and I can no longer find it among those available. The fonts I need are: Algerian, BlackadderlITC-Regual, Garamond-Italic, Onyx. I try to find these fonts as if they were extensions from the official Adobe page but I couldn't find the Algerian font in this way either... Can anyone help me or give me advice? Thanks a lot!

19. Tip popup when zooming in and out (Alt key while brush is selected)

    Whenever I zoom in and out using Alt + scroll wheel or a shortcut on my Wacom pencil, and have a Pencil or Brush selected, the smoothing tool pops up and gives this 'tip' that is obstructing my work. Turning tool tips off does not help.

    'To smooth a section, select its anchor points with the direct selection tool and adjust the slider.'

    It is really annoying, I'm not trying even trying to smooth the paths, just zooming! The tip stays on screen until I do something else, and pops back up whenever I hit alt. I know how the smoothing works, please let me get rid of this.
