29.4 is hanging/freezing in dialogs
I have found myself unable to work in 29.4. Program hangs/freezes all the time after entering some kind of dialog (save, settings, color mode, etc). I reset the settings to default, didn't help.
Reverted back to 29.3.1, no problems

Properties panel doesn't show any settings
Using Illustrator 29.4 with macOS 15.3, the Properties panel doesn't show anything anymore but the "Quick selections" text (might not be the right term as my software is in French)

Selecting a path no longer helps to select its anchor below another anchor above from an unselected path
iMac running Ventura 13.5.2
Illustrator 29.4Since the latest update (I think), I cannot select anchor points that are below others like I used to.
Until now, I used to be able to click on the object from which I wanted to select an anchor point (black line in the movie), then click on the desired anchor point with the white arrow and it would select the anchor point from this object.
Now it selects the anchor point from the other object that is above (red line). Which means now I need to bring the first object to the front…

Select and Unlock objects on canvas option breaks Direct Selection
With 'Select and Unlock objects on canvas' enabled (and at least one object locked) Direct selection no longer can move points (and select them with single clicks).

Illustrator not working
When I open Illustrator the processor dramatically slows down, to the point I can't have anything else open. Photoshop, on the other hand, works fine. When I try to move my mouse in Illustrator it takes ages, the screen starts flickering when I click on something for a few minutes before I click something else and it happens again. Sometimes it crashes. I updated Illustrator last week to the newest version, then uninstalled it because I blamed the problem on the update, but version 29.4 works just as bad. Images within opacity masks shift
When using multiple opacity masks in a file in an earlier version, including 29.31. Opening it in illustrator 29.4 almost all the images used for the masks are repositioned to the center of the page.

Objects vanish when a PDF is exported
The PDF document is not being saved correctly. I have tried saving it in different ways, changing the elements and it still isn't working. I believe it is a problem in Acrobat itself perhaps?

Creative Cloud Fonts wont sync.
The fonts already installed via Creative Cloud show missing in Illustrator. It also keep removing the font from the font family stating font was unable to be installed due to an error. So every time I open Illustrator or simply start my system there a new font missing. CC sprouts an error regarding a font. Never had this issue before.

Flatten Transparency color change
Illustrator 2024 29.4 (64-bit) Windows 11 Pro, Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 165H 3.80 GHz, 32 GB Ram
When using the "flatten transparency" or "rasterize" options, there is a single line of text that keeps changing color. See screen shots attached. This happens regardless of what settings I select. I need the color of the text to be maintained through the operation.

Listen to me. Please remove the window, this program is very buggy and does not work periodically, frequent departures. DELETE IT.

Solid black bar 1.5" wide across entire width of screen blocking top part of opened file
On opening existing file, solid black bar 1.5" wide and across entire screen at top of screen blocks that portion of file. Cannot resize it or delete it. Cannot access that part of file for editing. Was fine 3/30/25 after upgrading Illustrator on that day due to issues of uncontrollable mouse action.
TEST YOUR PRODUCT BETTER BEFORE RELEASING IT!!!!!

Swatches Info doesn’t work for the only swatch selected
If you only have 1 swatch selected you can’t create a Swatches Info from the Swatches panel’s menu. The only way to make it work is to make it 2 colors, select them and create the object, and then remove the unneeded color card from it manually.

Problem with Grouping Layers
I didn't use to have this problem and it doesn't seem to happen all the time, but when it happens it is annoying. That is, when I want to group two different sets of separately grouped objects into a grouped layer, what happens is that each of the layer groups with specific set of objects become combined into one single layer group. That is, the objects are no longer layer grouped by their original layer groups, but all the objects where combined into the same layer group. An Example would be: One layer group contains yellow objects and another layer…

Symbol swatches on network drives won't stay persistent
We store our color and symbol swatches on a network drive. If we set our color swatches to be persistent, they automatically load whenever we restart Illustrator. This is not the case with symbol swatches. We have to reload manually every time. We expect them to operate the same way as color swatches. Please fix. Running Win 10/11 and the latest Illustrator.

"Other option" for text in Properties panel slow down PC

When I try to open "other option" for text in the property panel the software slow down very much, I mean it freeze for at least 10 seconds and it happens every time. If I use the usual full Text panel no problems, but normally using the Properties is easier to have all in the same place, so it's a bit frustrating.

Asset export does not include appearance outside bounding box area of text objects (preview bounds are ignored)
In Illustrator 2025 (using version 29.3.1), when exporting assets, appearance elements outside the bounding box area are cut off.
In 2024 (28.7.5) and 2023 (27.9.6), all elements are exported without cutting.Reproduction Procedure
1. create a text object
2. add a bold stroke color to the text
3. add as an asset export item
4. export the assetExpected result
Designs with stroke color should be exported as in previous versions without problems.Appendix.

Error in Startup Script - Line 2798: { No matching closing brace found
I am getting an error on launch of Illustrator, seems to have begun with the latest update.
Error in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CC/Adobe Photoshop/photoshop_v2025.jsx
Line 2798: {No matching closing brace found
The error can be dismissed and the application runs fine after that.
Note that this is an error reffering to a startup script named "Adobe Photoshop", but the error comes up when launching Illustrator. Interestingly, there is no error when launching Photoshop.
