  1. Flickering when zooming with animation after update to Illustrator 2024 28.3

    I was trying to fix the insane lag in the previous version, even though I had all the drivers updated(I have MSI RTX 3080 and Ryzen Threadripper 3960X with 64 GB of RAM so it's not a performance issue).

    After updating the lag got worse and when I zoomed in with the GPU enhancing features which is zoom with animation. The canvas was flickering when using the zoom shortcut CTRL+SPACEBAR. I then opened a fresh document and noticed this problem wouldn't occur. So the issue is the fact I had the view grid on on my other document.

  2. Objects missing when save as pdf

    When I want to save the file as a pdf, various elements are missing in the exported file. These are mainly rectangles that are filled with a color gradient.
    I have already tried various export formats, but the problem only occurs with pdf exports, regardless of which pdf format I use. I have not found any errors within the export settings as I have not changed the process before.

  3. Massive Lag Issue

    Every time I open Illustrator, it takes an enormously long time to load. It continues to lag when I'm in the file, working on it - every action requires a wait time, from moving an object to typing a word. This makes using illustrator a massive chore.

    This happens to all files, even ones that are very simple - at most maybe 10 individual elements (images and text.) I have the creative suite, so all things are up to date. This issue does not happen with Photoshop or InDesign, which run perfectly, so it's clearly not a memory issue or…

  4. PDF opened without changes, but I can see the changes in preview

    1. macOs Big Sur 11.3.1
    2. adobe illustrator 25.3.1 (desktop)
    3. I'm importing PDF file that were changed. In preview before opening I see the changes on the image. Then I choose to import all pages. And when the file is opened, there are not changes and the name of the file is untitled.
    4. I expect to see file with all my changes and the title of the file is the same as the file I choose to open.

  5. "Select a File Format to open file"

    Multiple Illustrator files with vector polygons and linework from ArcGIS Pro are no longer opening properly and are instead prompting: "Select a File Format to open file" with "Text" or "ArcGIS - Adobe Illustrator" as options. Selecting either option opens an empty, blank file. How can I continue editing the original Illustrator files?

  6. Paste in front places objects in a wrong position

    Just updated to Illustrator 28.3 on macOS Ventura 13.4 on iMac 19,1.
    Paste in front is fine on current artboard copied from. But paste in front does not land in corresponding location on another target artboard.
    i.e. - copy text or art from artboard A. Paste in front artboard A lands in exact same spot. Paste in front artboard B (same size, but to the right of A) lands at -6.568" @ 139.125° from artboard A location (up and to the left). Artboard C (2nd document) lands up and to the left -19.6735" @ 169.064° of expected location.

  7. Screen flashing while tool tips is on and hoovering over docked toolbar

    While using the advanced toolbar and the 'show tool tips' feature, the screen flashes/glitches very fast and violently. I turned off the tool tips and the glitch stops. The tool tips feature is helpful but this glitch makes it useless/painful.

  8. Pop-ups won't close in magnified view setting.

    When I open the text tool, this dialogue box (bottom right corner) opens. I think it's supposed to be one of those helpful guides that shows up after an update, but for me, it shows up, doesn't go away, is fixed to the bottom right corner of my screen, and obstructs my view. I have absolutely no way to close it; I've tried. The [x] button, I believe, floats off the corner of the screen. I can't drag it; it's fixed. It's just stuck there and stays there, all huge and in the way.

  9. Mouse cursor disappears on Windows 11 Insider Preview

    I opened Illustrator to work on a project and my mouse cursor disappears when I am in the workspace. I can't seem to get it back. It is just an illustrator issue since I can see my cursor fine in other programs.

  10. Undo stack becomes desynchronized when making a clipping mask using a group that contains another clipping mask

    I often want to clip a group that already contains another clipping mask, and sometimes I accidentally use the wrong top object when making the mask. In this case, Undo does not return the scene to its previous state. Instead, various strange things happen.

    To replicate:
    - Create a group (A) that contains a clipping mask (B) and at least one other object
    - Create an object (C) to be clipped
    - Bring A over top of C, select both and make clipping mask
    - Undo

    The scene should return to its original state, but instead the inner mask (B)…

  12. Illustrator 2024 keeps crashing, no crash report, no recovery files

    I've been using Illustrator on my desktop since 2019, I haven't changed anything on my setup in terms of hardware or software. Illustrator was working perfectly fine up until lately (within the last 2 months). I've worked on large files and multiple files with heavy memory loads perfectly fine. But now, I can barely have two Illustrator documents open without it crashing. A crash report doesn't pop up and it doesn't save my recovery files even though I have that function enabled.   13. Can't make a blend out of two expanded letter

    I cannot MAKE the blend.... no matter what I try it is not working.
    I have expanded both letters and expanded the appearance of the path between them with no avail... Can someone please help me this is driving me bananas

  15. Eyedropper DOES NOT CONSIDER COLOR EXCLUSION for TEXTS MULTICOLOR

    Eyedropper tool between two text boxes with mixed color letters. How to copy ONLY text attributes leaving the colors unchanged.
    Even by deselecting fill color and stroke color in the eyedropper detection and eyedropper application boxes, the color of the destination text becomes unique depending on which is pressed as the source and the letters do not remain colored differently.
    Please resolve!

  17. バウンディングボックスでのオブジェクト調整時にプレビュー境界が利用されない。

    macOS 13.6.3 iMac27inch(Intel/32GB mem/1TB Storage)/MacMini(M1/16GB mem/512GB Storage)
    Illustrator ver.28.3

    問題が発生したときに実行していた手順
    1.環境設定で「プレビュー境界」のチェックボックスをオンにする。
    2.「表示→バウンディングボックを表示」でバウンディングボックスの表示を有効にする。
    3.100pt×100ptの矩形を描画し10ptの線幅を付ける。この状態では変形パネルのwとhはそれぞれ110ptと表示されている。
    4.3の矩形の任意のコーナーをドラッグするためにマウスポインタを近づけプレスした瞬間にバウンディングボックスがプレビュー境界基準から線幅を参照しない状態となり線幅の分拡大された状態からの調整となる。

    想定していた結果
    プレビュー境界が有効な状態でバウンディングボックスを操作できる。

    実際の結果
    バウンディングボックスでの調整を行おうとしている間はプレビュー境界が無効になった状態での操作になる。

    2020(ver24)以降「プレビュー境界を使用」をチェックしている場合バウンディングボックスは線幅を含めた状態で表示されますが、そのバウンディングボックスを利用して拡大・縮小を行おうとした場合、ver23までのバージョンと同様にプレビュー境界を使わない状態での調整となります。そのため、バウンディングボックスの任意のコーナーをプレスした瞬間にオブジェクトが自動的に拡大された状態からのスタートとなります。この状態では微調整は難しく、運用上はプレビュー境界をオフにしないとバウンディングボックスによる調整はできないと考えます。
