2. Fail to export. Transparency: Other options?

   Illustrator fails to export artwork correctly when "Other Options" showing under Opacity in Appearance palette. This artwork was created via legacy 3d extrude. It was also 'pathfindered' and 'eyedroppered,' the latter with Appearance checked.

3. "Selection" automatically jumping to "move" when clicking on an object and move action isn't retained

   Adobe Illustrator Version: 27.7
   Operating System: Mac OS Ventura 13.4.1

   Regardless of the file I'm working in, when I use my selection tool to select an object, upon moving my cursor the object starts moving like I'm clicking and dragging it (this is after tapping once on the object and letting go on the track pad). Then, when I move the object and click on the trackpad again, the object moves back to its original position and Illustrator makes an error alert noise.

   I have uninstalled Illustrator a few times, downloaded older versions from CC, and restarted my machine numerous times. Being unable to successfully move a basic object has basically made this program unusable for me, so any quick help would be greatly appreciated!

4. Illustrator desktop version 27.8 Error message [UKCO] after update on 8-3-2023

   I get the following error message upon starting up Illustrator desktop.
   "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [UKCO]"
   The app opens and I can create a new doc but the message keeps popping up.
   For now I'm reverting back to a previous version.

5. HEX References don't copy first time when you click on them!

   It's a new bug. But every time I click on the HEX panel in the Color palette, and press 'CMD+C' to copy, it deselects it the first time I do it, so every time I have to do it again. IT'S INFURIATINGLY TIME-WASTING.

   A similar thing happens in Photoshop, when you click on the 'Opacity' in the top of the layer palette. When you clicked on the word 'Opacity' it used to highlight the percentage so you could type your own, or 'Shift+down-arrow or 'Shift+up-arrow' to increase or decrease the opacity, or just type your own in. This doesn't happen any more either!

6. Illustrator often fails to build a smooth blend for paths with mismatched number of anchors

   Take a look at the file attached and watch the images attached.
   Two curves are blended: one has 4 anchors, another one has 5 anchors.
   The blend Ai build has weird irregular slits in the middle.

   If you expand the blend and select problematic anchors, you’ll see that positions are correct, but some handles get interpolated wrongly.

   This happens often in many other scenarios.
   The current workaround is to add more points to blend, trying to guess and control which point get paired with another.
   Another workaround is to cut curves in pieces and blend in chunks.

7. When a group of symbols is used as a key object, only one symbol gets the bold outline

   When you click an object to mark it as a key object for aligning, Ai draws a fat bold edge around it. Works fine, but not for a group of symbols. Need to be fixed.

8. Enter while typing does not get recorded in history as an Undo step

   When I type a text in Illustrator and hit Enter to make a paragraph break, it does not get recorded into the history as an operation I can undo. This means all typed paragraphs get clumped in history together and get undone as a whole.

   This is not how many other apps do, including InDesign and Word.

   Some apps also consider line breaks as an interruption of flow, which would have been handy too.

   It is quite similar to this report:

   When we type a text, Ai treats it as one operation, all the time.

10. 直線ツールで線を描画してから、線の色をコード入力すると白になる

    （１）塗りと線の色指定をともに「なし」の状態にする。
    （２）直線ツールで線を描画する。
    （３）（２）の描画後（線が選択された状態で）線の色のメニューをダブルクリックすると、「カラーピッカー」のメニューが表示される。
    （４）（３）で表示されたカラーピッカーの色コード（＃）の箇所に、黒のコード「000000」を手入力すると、線が黒にならずに「FFFFFF」の白になってしまう。

11. FONTS and text REMOVED

    Text removed. Sometimes its happens to me hat I open a file and all text is removed, fonts no showing up, but the text is not there any more. I can see there are text elements but are empty of text.

12. Illustrator UI Scaling Issue

    I am currently using Illustrator version 27.3.1 on a modern Lenovo laptop and the UI is far too small and hard to see. I have had this same problem now for the last few years of updates of the program. I have searched this issue many times and have tried all the solutions that have been offered by the community support and none of them work. Has there been a solution for this issue developed yet?

13. Export svg doesn't work if symbol stainer used on a symbol

    I have noticed that an svg export adds a character in the svg code on a symbol in which the symbol stainer was used. When I break the link to the symbol, the svg exports as expected. I have been able to repeat this error.

14. Switching modes in Repeat Options dialog does not change the selected repeat object

    Imagine you experiment and convert some art into a Repeat object.
    Then you open Repeat Options and see some other variants, like Radial, Grid, and Mirror... OK, you think what do these do? You toggle to them, you set values, you click OK — and nothing you get. These do nothing. You can only change those your object currently have, but not switch the type.

    1. Why can’t I switch the type?
    2. Why don’t you disable these if they don’t work?

15. Type on path tool bug

    After reopening an Illustrator document containing multiple circle paths with type on them the text is no longer on their paths but rather scattered all over and beyond the artboard. Please see the attachments.

    When you try to fix the scattered texts by clicking on the path with the type to path tool it will indicate the text was created in a different version of Illustrator (which is not the case) prompting you to click ok. This will have the text look as it should again. However if you then save and re-open the file the texts will be scattered again. So this clearly is not a solution to fix it temporarily.

    Pulling a previous version from our backup doesn't help either. The document will look good initially but even scrolling up or down in Illustrator will cause the scatter to appear (reopening it without saving will do the same).

    The opening poster experiences the same problem in a file containing multiple circle paths with type on them. So that seems to be a common ground.

    Our file has 20+ paths with text on them.

17. 線と塗りが黒のテキスト選択時にカラーパネルを変更するとパネルの挙動がおかしくなる

    ①
    PC：Mac Studio M1 MAX / OS Ventura 13.4と13.5
    Illustrator：26.5.3と27.7で同じ現象を確認

    ②線と塗りにC0Y0M0K100が適応されているテキストを選択した状態で、カラーパネルをCMYKからグレースケールに変える。

    ③C0Y0M0K100からK100になる。
    ④見た目は黒だがカラーパネルはK=0になってしまっている。
    　修正しようとするとオブジェクトが白になってしまう。

    補足：グレースケールからCMYKパネルに変更した時も黒から白になります。ちなみにアピアランス設定で塗りと色を黒にして同じ操作をすると問題なく黒のままでした。

18. 「オーバープリントブラック...」の不具合

    OS／macOS11.6.8
    Illustrator.ver.27.7（以前のバージョンから同様の挙動と考えられます）

    スタイルの当たったテキストをCMYKの黒100でオーバーライドしたものに対して「編集→カラーを編集→オーバープリントブラック」を適用するとCMYK黒100の部分がスタイルのカラーにフォールバックする。

    再現方法
    1.テキストフレームを用意し塗りに対して明るい色を設定した段落スタイルを適用する。
    2.任意のテキストの塗りに対してCMY各0、K100のCMYKブラックを適用する。
    3.このテキストフレームを選択し「編集→カラーを編集→オーバープリントブラック」を適用する。
    4.CMYK黒で指定した部分は塗りに対してオーバープリントが設定されるが塗りがスタイルカラーに戻る。

    期待する結果
    「編集→カラーを編集→オーバープリントブラック」を適用してもスタイルを適用したあとでCMYKブラックをオーバーライドした部分の色が変わらずオーバープリント属性が設定される。

    実際の結果
    「編集→カラーを編集→オーバープリントブラック」を適用するとスタイルを適用したあとでCMYKブラックをオーバーライドした部分の色が変スタイルカラーに変わってしまう。

    回避方法
    スタイルを適用した部分を黒でオーバーライドする際はCMYKブラックではなくグレースケールのブラックを利用すると回避可能。

    また、スタイルが適用されたあとCMYKブラックをオーバーライドされた部分のあるテキストフレームをスクリプトにてoverprint属性を適用しようとした場合も同様にスタイルカラーに戻ってしまいます。

    回避方法がありますが、CMYKブラックとグレースケールブラックで挙動が異なるのは問題です。オーバープリントブラック処理は最終的に処理を行う場合が多い処理です。意図しない色変化が生じるリスクはできるだけ避けたほうが良いです。早急に改善いただきたいと思います。

19. Type on path not converting to outline

    Operating System: OS X Ventura 13.4.1 (c) (22F770820d)
    Version of Illustrator: 27.7

    I have an artwork which includes some type on a path (circle). When I go to send the file to a printer (PDF), I always outline the text as we've had issues in the past. For this artwork I've selected all the content and selected 'Convert to Outline', which has worked fine on all the type except the type on a path elements which just disappeared. I restarted Illustrator, but this didn't solve the problem.

    The Type on a Path was part of a group, so I then drilled down to an element level and tried each part in turn. It was a bit random, one part would outline, while othesr just disappeared again. The font being used was Knockout by Hoefler&Co.

    After a few attempts I managed to get some parts to outline while others continued to disappear so I had to make up a new group using those paths that did outline properly.

    I've never experienced this bug before, so perhaps it's something new?

    This happens when Snap to Grid is enabled. Even when invisible, it still affects snapping and prevents Smart Guides from assisting to snapping at artboard’s edges.
