   This happens when Snap to Grid is enabled. Even when invisible, it still affects snapping and prevents Smart Guides from assisting to snapping at artboard’s edges.

3. When a group is set as a key object inside of the ungrouped isolation, Distribute Spacing treats some other groups as ungrouped

   1. Open the test file
   2. Isolate the group
   3. Select all
   4. Ungroup — now you have just <Objects> as the last step of isolation
   5. Click the leftmost group once with the Selection tool to make it the key
   6. Press Horizontal Distribute Space button in Align panel Ai will treat the last group as if it is ungrouped — but it is not!

   Why do I do this at all? To distribute all objects inside of a group.
   I can’t do this when it is grouped, so I select it first, then isolate (to avoid interaction with anything else on canvas), then ungroup this larger group — because otherwise Ai won’t allow me to distribute, because all selected children = the group selected. So I want to ungroup, distribute and then group back... but the bug forces me to undo and exit the isolation. Not cool.

   1. Open the test file

4. Free Distort and Perspective Distort don't appear in the Free Distort tool panel

   Free Distort and Perspective Distort don't appear in the Free Distort tool panel. They aren't anywhere in the tools menu, I really can't find them.
   How can i fix it? I'm using Illustrator 2023 27.7v

5. Export for Screens does not remember color model format settings for JPG 100, JPG 80, etc.

   When Illustrator is closed, it forgets the color model that was chosen for exporting JPEGs with Export for Screens.

   For reference of how this setting is accessed:
   File > Export > Export for Screens
   Then in the Formats area, click the gear icon.
   In the column, select any of the JPG formats (JPG 100, JPG 80, et cetera).
   Then there is a drop-down labeled "Color Model" that allows you to choose between CMYK, RGB, and grayscale.

   If you select RGB then click "Save Settings" it will remember the setting while Illustrator is open. But when you close Illustrator, and open it again, the setting will be reverted to CMYK when you are working in a CMYK document.

   This is rather annoying for me because I work in the exhibit design field and graphic layout are intended for print (CMYK) but often need to be visualized in 3D models which require RGB images. So exporting to RGB is essential and having to change the setting frequently adds more hassle to the process.

6. Exporting SVG file with Preserve Editing Capabilities checked issue

   I have a doc with multiple artboards. When I export the SVG file, I select the individual artboard and export like usual, but recently it's been exporting the entire doc, with all the other artboards as well. Even previewing doesn't show all of the boards, I can only tell when I open the SVG file back up or look at the file size.

8. コピーできてない

   win11　最新CCを使用

   切り取り（ctl+X）をペースト(ctl+v)しているが
   切り取りしたもの自体がなくなります（クリップボードに取れていない？）
   貼り付けがスカされます。

   切り取りしているので、コピーし忘れではない。
   このデータがおかしいのか、アップデートのせいなのか
   PCがおかしいのか不明

   改善お願いします。

9. Illustrator freezes after computer date changes several times.

   Illustrator stops responding when the computer's date has changed. Photoshop and Indesign work well.

   As per our investigation, this issue is not longer happening. Let us know if you are running into this issue.

10. Smart Guides do not work properly in large documents

    I don't know if this is a recent problem with the 2023 version on Illustrator, but when I'm working on very large documents, smart guides simply do not work. I have to zoom really close to be able to snap and align this correctly. I believe that the behavior of such functionally should be scalable and independent of zoom levels.

11. Changing file name while file is open provides no contextual response in cloud.

    Windows 11 Pro
    22H2 - Build: 22621.1992

    While In illustrator I realised I saved two iterations of the same name (I had intended to overwrite the previous cloud saved file but instead if added (1) to the name.

    In the home area I clicked my files and proceeded to change the name, hitting enter did nothing, hitting the enter on the d-pad did nothing. Clicking away did nothing. I had an epiphany and realised it was because I had the file open i couldn't change the name.

    However, this didn't provide an error or warning, it simply wouldn't do it.

    Not a serious bug, but some users may get frustrated by this and not realise the error, I would suggest a little pop up telling them the file is open and so cannot be renamed.

12. Black objects in clipping mask are not exported to SVG

    Hi,

    I created two same artboards with rectangle and text in clipping mask (the mask is important). The only difference is fill of objects – one is black and second red. Then I exported both artboards to SVG using Export for Screens feature (setup attached, but any other setup produces same result). Red version is exported correctly but the black one creates empty SVG file.

    I checked SVG code of both files. If the object has any color except of black, code will include fill parameter for each object. But if object is black, code will skip the fill parameter and object takes fill from clipping mask which is none.

    I use actual version of Illustrator 27.7 on Windows 10

13. Replacing ': ' (a semicolon followed by a space) leads to doubling the next symbol

    As discussed at https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/illustrator-27-5-quot-find-and-replace-quot-issue/td-p/13765176

    If you use Find And Replace to find any combination which ends with a semicolon followed by a space, like in 'Test: ', using Replace All will double the next character after the space in all matches.

    For example, replacing 'Test: ' (with a space at the end) with nothing in 'Test: 80%' gives '880%'.

    Single Replace works fine.

15. Problems with Photoshop Effects

    Lately, everytime I try turning a vectored shape (after I gave it a gradient mesh) with no stroke, I constantly keep getting stray white pixels inside the stroke that seem to trace the stroke. I'm trying to make a quality illustration, but these pixels are keeping me from doing that. Thank you!

16. Workspace keeps disappearing

    I had a custom workspace of everything I needed and right where I wanted it. Multiple times now I open up AI and my workspace is no longer there. I create a new one just how I want it again, and a short time later it disappears again and I have to start all over again. I don't know if its happening because of updates or something else, but it's frustrating and it throws off my workflow cause I have to keep taking take to reset everything.

17. Editing a repeat object unhides unrelated objects

    When editing a repeat object in isolation mode then after exiting the isolation mode, other (unrelated) objects that were formerly hidden, get unhidden.

18. All menu item shortcuts are grayed out

    Illustrator 2023, v27.7
    MacOS Ventura 13.2.1
    Wacom intuos pro
    Apple Magic Mouse

    at some point, all the shortcut menu items became grayed out...I can USE the actual shortcuts like CTRL+X and CTRL+V
    i can select the commands in the menu and get them to work...but it's weird... not sure if it is associated with other weird behaviors like not being able to select and move an object?

19. Illustrator (still) cannot read TIF files.

    When can we remedy this? I cannot open or place a TIF file in Illustrator 27.6.1. The error message is the file is an unknown format and can't be opened.

    There are reports on this page still open from 2021. When will this be fixed?

    I have several TIFs from a museum to lay out for printing and I'm having to individually bring them all in to photoshop and export them as a different format.
