Bounding box does not rotate correctly with certain elements
If you take two lines and make an X shape and group it, when rotating this shape (say 30%), the bounding box resets to straight up and down (as opposed to rotating with the X shape) so any further scaling of this shape will be off. In this case, the X will become asymmetrical with any further scaling. This is a new bug as previously versions of Illustrator kept the bounding box oriented as it was originally.
This is on a Mac with the latest Illustrator CC.

AIGPUSNIFFER doesn't quit
Version 21.1.0
When quitting illustrator the AIGPUSNIFFER process continues to run, even though it should terminate, unless the task is manually ended in task manager. This is a huge issue considering it puts CPU usage at a high level which consequently affects battery life.

Illustrator shows paths with extremely many points incorrect, without showing a warning to user
Sometimes EPS files I want to open in Illustrator contain paths with many many points. When opening in Illustrator no warning is shown, but polygons are not shown correctly as the fill color is disappeared (and the polygon path seems to be broken/not closed anymore). Is the limit 32.000 points? If so: please enlarge this amount OR show a warning when opening a file: now users cannot trust your Illustrator here.

Keyboard doesn't register a shortcut
In Adobe InDesign and Photoshop you can assign any key on an international keyboards to any function.
Illustrator do not recognize international keyboards. You may register but it won’t work.
What a shame since it's the oldest app in the family.2 votes -

GPU Performance stops working when enabled
Illustrator 21.1.0 (64-bit)
GPU Performance shuts off whenever I open a file. I have to close the file, turn off GPU Performance (yes, turn it OFF in preferences), then turn it ON again, then reopen my file to get it working again. I've been complaining about this for months, and Adobe has ignored my complaints. All updates including drivers have been installed and I've completely removed and reinstalled Illustrator.

User guide correction
Customer support asked that I make this post via their twitter account. I found that the content in the user guide identifying the various symbols and marks of the swatch panel is not accurately labeled. E and F are wrong. They should say LAB and RGB but they instead are calling the icons CMYK AND RGB. Could be highly confusing those just learning the software. Thanks!!

Illustrator doesn't find color profile, which are shown in Indesign
Hi everybody,
I installed an eci color profile (pso-coated_v3) on my windows 10 computer (right-mouse-click, then install). In Photoshop CC and Indesign CC everything is fine, so it is installed correctly. But the new profile isn't shown in Illustrator CC.
I reopened Illustrator and also de- and reinstalled it...
Does anybody has got an idea, why the new profile doesn't show in in the color-settings of Illustrator?
Thanks a lot!
Best wishes
Rene2 votesAn installed color profile can be accessed and used like this:
Edit > Color Settings: Working Spaces, CMYK: choose the profile you need.
Then go to Edit > Assign Profile and set it.

Application crash when copy/pasting SVG paths
I have several logos that were created in Inkscape and saved in SVG format that I now need to edit in Illustrator. However even after re-saving them as AI files, any attempt to copy/paste any part of the SVG paths from the logo results in an immediate application crash.
Adobe Illustrator CC (latest) Windows 10 64bit
Steps:
1. Open the attached AI file (which was converted from SVG by opening then saving in Illustrator).
2. Select any part of the logo.
3. Copy using Edit -> Copy or CTRL+C
4. Paste using Edit -> Paste or CTRL+V

Gradient across stroke, inside opacity mask is thresholded for half the width of the stroke
Applying a black-to-white gradient across a stroke inside an opacity mask results in a portion of the opacity mask not being applied, corresponding to half the width of the stroke, almost as if it is clipped by the stroke. If the path is subsequently outlined, which creates a mesh, the behavior is the same. If the object is a filled bezier curve, the behavior is normal with the shape masked as expected.

The preview is incorrect because some images are missing
Ever since at least Illustrator version 29.8.5, I've been having preview issues with linked images. Some images are missing from my preview.
I tested it in Illustrator 30.3, and the problem persists.

Panning at high zoom levels appears blurry
The issue that previously occurred and was resolved has reappeared in the latest version. I have attached the previous link and details. I kindly request a prompt resolution.
https://community.adobe.com/questions-652/document-work-area-appears-blurry-repost-814442
If you drag to work with the preview enlarged, the work area preview will look blurry.
The more you zoom in, the more severe the symptoms are.
There wasn't until the last version of 2023, but it came up at some point.
Due to the nature of the work, there are many cases where the work is small, so it is enlarged and modified. It's quite disruptive to the workflow. Please fix it quickly Adobe…
Below are the things I've done before.
Attached is the video as well.<Things I've tried>
- Upgrade computer RAM, cpu, graphics card
- Check on 3 computers
- Initialization
- Initialize configuration settings
- rename and reset folders in %appdata%
- Check after installing an earlier version of illustration
- Check after installing the latest illustration version
- Upgrade/downgrade graphics card drivers to the latest
- Turn off gpu acceleration (not a fundamental solution)
- Check Windows Update
- Update/Remove and reinstall the Wacom driver
- Check by file capacity (at least one letter appears in the blank document. No matter file size.)
- Pixel Preview settings has always been unchecked
- The file path is local, not server.People who have experienced the same symptoms,
why don't you form a league with me? ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Don't say turn off gpu perfomence ☹☹☹
I upgraded my graphics card to the latest to take advantage of gpu.A Korean representative has confirmed that the illustration is defective.
don't encourage me to chat. They don't know the answer either. Just fix it quickly.
Sentences with a translator, not as smooth as locals.
I ask for your understanding if you felt bad.The issue that previously occurred and was resolved has reappeared in the latest version. I have attached the previous link and details. I kindly request a prompt resolution.

Transparency Lost in After Effects When Importing v30 AI Files
Transparency Information Lost When Importing Illustrator v30 AI Files into After Effects 2026
Environment:
- Hardware: MacBook Pro 16-inch (November 2023), Apple M3 Pro, 36GB RAM
- OS: macOS Sequoia 15.7.4
- Illustrator version with issue: v30.2.1 (2026)
- Illustrator version without issue: v28.7.10 (2024)
- After Effects version: 2026When an .ai file saved in Illustrator 2026 (v30) is imported as footage into After Effects 2026, transparency information — including blend modes, opacity settings, and effects such as drop shadows — is lost or ignored. Affected layers render as fully opaque.
Re-saving the identical artwork in Illustrator 2024 (v28.7.10) and importing that file into the same After Effects project resolves the issue completely.
This suggests that a change in the .ai file format or internal data structure introduced in v30 is no longer being parsed correctly by After Effects' AI importer.
Saving from v28.7.10 is a confirmed workaround, but this should not be necessary.
Is there a known fix? Is this a confirmed bug?
Thank you for the continued development of Adobe Illustrator. I am a professional graphic designer working in prepress and print production, and I greatly appreciate the dedication your team puts into this product. I would like to report what appears to be a compatibility regression introduced in Illustrator v30.

PDF/X-4 Export Produces Non-Compliant PDFs in Illustrator v30.2.1
In v28, when exporting PDF/X-4 via an Action or script, inserting a "Convert to Working CMYK" step into the workflow allowed consistent production of PDF/X-4 compliant files with no preflight errors.
In v30, following the exact same workflow with identical files and the same preset now produces non-compliant PDFs. Acrobat preflight reports two distinct errors that did not occur in v28.
Preflight Error #1 — Placed image ICC profile conflict:
"CMYK source profile is the same as the PDF/X output intent destination profile (201 occurrences, 2 pages)"Cause: Placed PSD files have Japan Color 2001 Coated embedded as an ICC profile. Since the output intent is also Japan Color 2001 Coated, v30 appears to write both into the PDF in a way that triggers a conflict. This did not occur in v28 with identical source files.
Preflight Error #2 — Transparency blend color space conflict:
"Transparency blend color space is the same as the output intent destination profile (13,681 occurrences, 2 pages)"Cause: v30 appears to embed the document's transparency blend space (Japan Color 2001 Coated, derived from the working CMYK setting) in a way that conflicts with the output intent. This also did not occur in v28.
PDF Preset Settings (X4_Johnset):
- Standard: PDF/X-4:2010
- Compatibility: Acrobat 7 (PDF 1.6)
- Color Conversion: No Conversion
- Output Intent Profile: Working CMYK — Japan Color 2001 Coated
- Profile Inclusion Policy: Include All RGB & Tagged Source CMYK ProfilesBoth errors are absent when exporting the same file with the same preset from v28.7.10. This appears to be a regression introduced in v30.
