  1. Character/paragraph style incompleteness

    1. Creation of Character/paragraph style is not undoable.
      You can undo any operation before and after but creation of Character/paragraph style does not get into "undo" list. You have to delete it manually from styles list.

    2. Select text\paragraph, make Character/paragraph style. Selected text/paragraph is not set instantly to this newly created style but it should.

  2. Image embed option in SVG options does not work

    Environment:
    OS: Windows 10 Home
    Illustrator Version 23.0.3 (64 bit)

    Recreating the bug:
    1. Create some Illustrator artwork with a linked image (.jpg, .png, etc).
    2. Export an SVG through File > Export > Export As...
    3. Select the Image > Embed option.

    The resulting SVG does not contain the image. This was an issue introduced with Illustrator 2019, the 2018 version worked fine. Right now I'm embedding the image into the AI file itself as a workaround and then exporting it using the same method since that embeds the image into the SVG, but it would be nice if…

  3. Scale or rotate when using preview does not work

    When scaling any object in Illustrator 2019 when using the preview checkbox the scale percentage is immediately applied to the object. So, for instance, if I enter 110% and decide that is not enough, I enter 115%. The object is actually transformed 100% AND 115%! If I press cancel, the two transformations are applied to the object, and I need to click undo twice to get back to the original.

    This happens for the rotate, reflect, and shear tools too.

  4. Rotate tool dialogue box won't appear

    After selecting the rotate tool, rotate dialogue box won't appear.

    a dialogue box will appear only if I double click on the rotate tool but then I am not able to move the anchor point to the center of the object.

  5. Bringing object forward with (Ctrl + ] ) nudges left/right instead of bringing forward.

    There is an Illustrator bug I have previously and am currently experiencing that makes an object nudge to the right/left when trying to bring an object forward. I've had this happen on Windows 7 and Windows 10. There is obviously a workaround for this, i.e. View Outlines > Select > Bring object to front / Cut Paste in Front / Paste in Back, Save and Restart Illustrator etc. but it is counterproductive to efficiency.

    Background: I'm a 10 year+ agency professional who specializes in UI design, illustration and branding.

  6. cannot place image into Illustrator.

    Cannot place or drage image to illustrator.
    Sometimes only a rectangle with X in the middle appears, or just the selection pointer appears after I try to place (using the menu) or dragging an image to the Illustrator.
    I used different *.png, *.jpg files and I could not place image in the illustrator.
    Need help.
    I use Windows 10.

  7. Convert to profile

    It should be possible to convert a documents colors via the same method as in Photoshop or InDesign via "Convert to profile" rather than "Document color mode". The current way makes it hard to correctly convert correctly and nearly impossible to convert an rgb color space to another rgb color space without using cmyk as intermediary step (huge color shifts and color quality loss).

  9. Illustrator doesn't support 'vector-effect' in SVG import

    Illustrator doesn't support 'vector-effect' in SVG import.
    'vector-effect' has 3 values : non-scaling-stroke | none | inherit

    Please open it any browser and you will see the perfect result (scaling) which is not supporting on any version of Illustrator.

  10. Unite/Merge paths creating groups instead of Compound path

    When trying to combine individual paths (text outlines, shapes, etc) the pathfinder tool seems to be creating groups, rather than creating a compound path as expected.

    Other colleagues have been experiencing similar issues. Video attached.

  11. v23.0 files won't open with v23.01 update, Unknown error occurring

    Can't open v23.0 ai files since the update to v23.01. The program doesn't even attempt to open, an error pops up saying "an unknown error has occurred"
    Help please,
    this is making work very difficult

  12. After unlink vector art from symbol, handles and points never appear again - CC 23.0.2

    I see that this bug was supposedly fixed but it's back.

    I made a vector shape and dragged it to the symbols palette.

    Then I placed the symbol in my artboard, and unlinked the placed art from the symbol.

    Now when the shape is selected, no handles or points are ever visible again - I can not select all or any handles or points with the direct selection tool, because they are gone. The shape can not be manipulated.

    It does not matter if I cut and paste it, expand it, ungroup it, double click it, or paste it into…

  13. Mirrored objects with freeform gradient applied loose their fill

    When drawing a picture of several parts, each of which is filled with freeform gradient there is a problem as soon as you select the entire object gradient disappears on one of the parts or strays

  14. All toolbars gone - Illustrator CC 2019

    As soon as I open the Illustrator today, every toolbar was lost. Even if I click the workspace presets, it doesn't do anything. I already returned all the lost tool bars manually but when I opened Ai, they're gone again. Please fix this. Thank you.

  15. Paragraph style tab numeric measure is wrong

    v22.1/23/0.1
    Windows 10

    Both v22.1 and 23.0.1 show the wrong numeric 'X' measure when setting or adjusting a tab stop in a paragraph style. The measure shown is inflated both according to the ruler below the tab stop, and tabs set using the tab window. The numeric measure is inflated by an increasing amount the further the tab is from the left margin, and remains inflated whether units are set to mm or inches.
    eg. 20mm tab stop shows as 29.8mm in the paragraph style dialog

  16. Manually entering integer size values makes fractions

    The Width/height (Screenshot B: / H: ) Values don't work sometimes.

    If I manually type in the values like 20x20 it will create something like this 20,134x19,999.

  17. Fonts drop down menu is cut off help

    Hey so when I select my fonts I notice that its really zoomed in and cut off illustrators UI. its been there for a few updates now. Any solutions?

  18. Very long loading splash screen after update 23.0.1

    After newest update 23.01 splash screen freeze on trying to initialise SmartEditUI.aip for few minutes (and crash if I try click on it at this time)

    This only happens at the first time start.

    On the adobe forum I see that people have the same problem

    Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

  19. Illustrator crashes and causes computer to restart.

    While using Adobe Illustrator, after updating, it has been crashing and causing my computer to shut down after sometimes only a few minutes up to a few hours of use.
    I have used InDesign and Photoshop just as much (as well as Chrome and many other applications) and I don't have any issues with crashing or shutting down. Only when Illustrator is running.

    Attached are my PC specifications.
