1. Global Color swatch copied into new document even if not used on element being copy/pasted.

   Problem: create a square with stroke=0 and fill=100% black. Copy and paste into new document and color swatches are okay. Now go to first document and add a Global Color swatch (i.e. Pantone Green) but don't add it to the square (so it's still stroke=0 / fill=100% black). Copy the square and paste it into a new document. For some reason, that Global Color (Pantone Green) swatch is added to the swatch palette of the new document. Now choose 'Select All Unused', the Pantone Green is selected to prove it's not being used in the element (square) you copy/pasted from the first document.

   Add to this: Add another Global Color (Pantone Purple) to the first doc but don't add it to the square. Copy/paste into another new document and only the second color swatch (Pantone Purple) is added to the new document.

   Now: Delete the first Global Color (Pantone Green) in the first doc. Copy/paste the square and add it to still another new document. You'll see a color swatch added called 'Deleted Global Color (Pantone Green)'.

   I just noticed this bug and posted it in the forums. Another user confirmed they see the same issue dating back several versions. This can be quite a problem when trying to move elements from one document to another.

2. Blue learn box won't go away

   I cannot see part of my workspace because the blue learn box covers up the panels and I cannot get it to go away. How am I supposed to use your program when your supposedly helpful box covers up what I need to see in order to create projects? This is unbelievably frustrating, and I am probably going to have to use some other program to create my logo since I cannot use the work space because of this idiotic blue learn bubble that won't go away and can't be moved, apparently.

3. When using gaussian blur or outer glow on top of a gradient object, the gradient underneath becomes transparent.

   The object in the pictures shown is applied the outer glow effect. When I place the object on top of the shape applied with gradient colors, the gradient becomes transparent as the glow appears to have disappeared.

4. Some menu items are missing access keys (underline letters when Alt is held)

   On Windows, Alt keys can be used to access all menus via keyboard.
   When you hold Alt, a letter that you can press to access a particular item is underlined.

   Some items though are missing these underlines, specifically:

   Edit > Spelling, My Settings, Edit Colors
   Object > Collect for Export
   Window > Extensions, Find Extensions on Exchange, Workspace, Toolbars... most panels here, including newer ones.

   Some are less needed, some are more important.
   Please don’t miss these. It feels like new items loose these (except for new Select Same Text options — good job!)

6. Round Corners prevent a narrow bar from transforming

   Please open the file attached.
   Make sure that you have Bounding Box on, and Scale Corners off.

   1. Select any one of the green bars.
   2. Try to make it shorter or longer, using bounding box (that is grab the center marker on the a short side) — works fine.
   3. Select the dark red long bar.
   4. Try to transform in the same manner — and fail. The bar gets only longer, and can't be made shorter (or shorter back).
   5. Make the red bar slightly wider or select the orange bar, it is a wider copy of the red one.
   6. Try to make it shorter. You succeed at first.. But then it bumps into something and refuse to become any shorter.
   7. Make it as short as possible, release the mouse and try to make it shorter again — and get the same behavior as in step 6!

   Now enable scale corners and try to shorten bars again — now it works fine
   (but corners get smaller, which is not what is wanted in the first place).

   Please open the file attached.

7. Type on Path Broken - Can't Resize

   Not sure if this has been reported yet or not. When I use the type on path tool and try to resize it the type's center point is moved and/or the kerning is thrown way off. See the video for an example of what's happening.

   The only way I can get around this is making a copy of the object so I can save an editable version, then outline the text on the other version so I can resize. This is a MASSIVE pain.

8. Mega huge trim printer marks in PDF copy, using large canvas document

   AI 25.4.1 / Win10

   ACTION TAKEN:
   Saving a copy of A2 sized AI project as PDF file (print-production style).

   RESULT:
   Extremely huge printer marks in PDF (see screenshots)!
   Tried several PDF versions in saving dialogue with same failed result.

   WORK-AROUND:
   1. Verify artboard size (and PDF document size as well) several times, just to be sure if my mind works OK this morning. And it's working fine (sight of relief :-)
   2. To make printer-ready PDF, original AI file was imported to InDesign (via import, Cmd+D).
   3. Then, upscaled imported graphics to 100% (which made me guess than original AI is somehow saved in 1:10 scale).

   AI 25.4.1 / Win10

   ACTION TAKEN:

   RESULT:

9. Navigation bar info in lower left gets displayed in wrong location

   I have 3 monitors.
   2 are 27" 4K resolution, and the third is a 24" XP-PEN Pen display (2560x1440), which is where Illustrator always starts and runs in full-screen.

   Illustrator apparently cannot always figure out how to calculate all its object locations, since the navigation info on the bottom bar on each file open lands UP the screen, when opening an Illustrator document and Illustrator is in Maximized mode.
   See first attached screenshot.

   If I then click the "Restore" button (upper right in any Windows app window), in effect forcing Illustrator to repaint its entire app area, then suddenly the information is placed correctly. See second screenshot.
   On a subsequent "Maximize" to get Illustrator back to occupying the entire Pen-display screen again, the info is suddenly placed correctly.

   This only seems to happen 95% of the time, when Illustrator is in Maximized mode when opening a document. If it is in "Restored" mode (as in app window smaller than the screen), then it seems to place it correctly on an open.

   Illustrator 26.3.1, Windows 10

10. Bug: Export to SVG messing up illustration

    When i export an artboard or selection to svg it messes up the location of some parts of the illustration while exporting to other formats (png) works correct. I use illustrator version 26.3.1. I have like 20 other artboards with other illustrations, all messed up. Like a month ago it still worked.

13. Clipping Mask broken in SVG export if name contains hyphen

    An Illustrator document that contains a clipping mask will not export correctly if the path used for clipping has a - in the name.

    In the resulting SVG code, the path definition looks like this:

    <rect id="clipping-path" ... >

    but the reference to it looks like this:

    <use xlink:href="#clipping_x002D_path" ... >

    You can see that the - was converted to "x002D" for the "use" tag, but not for the "rect" tag.

15. White-to-black gradients in opacity masks don’t go fully transparent

    For opacity masks, 100% White should represent a 100% absence of masking and 100% Black should represent 100% masking (like in Photoshop).

    The current system in Illustrator seems very unintuitive and flawed – a basic white to black gradient does not even totally obscure an image/object at one end of the gradient.

    It shouldn't be the case that you then have further reduce the opacity of the gradient colours to achieve a standard gradient effect.

    Make sure you use RGB black instead of Grayscale black in your gradients when making opacity mask in a RGB-based document to avoid shallow blacks and not fading to a complete zero.

    More on that in the comments.

    サイズA4で新規アートボードを作成
    「要冷凍」というテキストオブジェクトをサイズ15ptで作成
    このテキストにアピアランス「パスのオフセット：0.05mm」を適用する
    アートボードの座標をX座標 100mm、Y座標 -148mmに変更
    「要冷凍」テキストの座標をX座標 197mm、Y座標 -2.1mmに変更
    文字の塗り潰しが添付画像のようになる（座標は全て左上起点）

    テキストをアウトライン化しても発生する
    どのようなフォントでも発生する
    同じような大きさの複合パスでも発生する
    線幅では発生しない

    以下の環境で確認
    MacOS 10.15.7
    Adobe Illustrator 26.0.1
    Adobe Illustrator 25.4.2
    Adobe Illustrator 24.3

    Windows10 Pro
    Adobe Illustrator 24.3(64bit)

    通常作成される、座標（X0,Y0）のアートボードで、版面左上端にテキストがかかっている場所で発生するようだ。普通こんな位置にテキストは置かないが、アートボードの座標がたまたまY軸方向にマイナス（上）X軸方向100mmの位置にあると、版面の真ん中で発生してしまう。文字というより複合パスで発生しているようである。

    対処方法
    アートボードの座標をリセットして、当該オブジェクトを適当な位置に移動して戻すと解消する。
    必要がなければ線幅で対応する。

    ご報告いただきました問題につきまして、再現が確認できました。

    「パスのオフセット」効果が適用されている文字の中マド部分の直線と、「Y軸 = 0」のラインが重なる場合に発生するようです。
    簡単に「田」や「A」の字で再現できました。

17. Pixel preview doesn't refresh correctly until reapplied

    Steps to reproduce:
    - New document with units set to pixels
    - View: 'Snap to pixel' and 'pixel preview' turned on.
    - Use the rectangle tool to make a new shape, eg. 20 pixels square.
    - Set the fill colour to a high contrast colour (eg. dark grey) and turn off the stroke
    - zoom the view, move around.

    Expected result:
    - the rectangle should appear pixel-perfect (sharp) against the pixel grid, with no anti-aliased bluring
    - the view should acurately update when I zoom and move around to display pixel perfect artwork

    Actual result:
    - the rectangle is bordered by a blured anti-aliased semi-transparent edge pixel, and does not appear pixel perfect
    - if I re-toggle 'pixel preview' then the pixel-perfect effect comes back, but I shouldn't need to do this.

    Steps to reproduce:
    - New document with units set to pixels
    - View: 'Snap to pixel' and 'pixel preview' turned on.
    - Use the rectangle tool to make a new shape, eg. 20 pixels square.

18. Сonverting a type object from Area to Point replaces soft breaks with paragraph breaks

    Illustrator's 'Convert To Point Type' should not change soft line breaks to paragraph breaks, as the GIF shows.

19. Freeform Gradient / Gradiente Livre - Problemas com objeto expandido

    [AJUDA] [Gradiente Livre] Pessoal, estou com um problema que não consigo resolver. Criei um ícone em vetor que está unido e expandido. Quando eu aplico o Gradiente Livre aparece normal. Mas quando eu redimensiono o objeto, ele está "perdendo o gradiente". Já tentei de tudo aqui, vocês sabem como resolver? 20. Add Anchor Points adds sharp points on smooth curves (and converts smooths to sharps)

    If I have an circle with 4 smooth points and use Add Anchor Points command to add points to it, all new four point become sharp instead of smooth.

    Also, there are reports that Ai also convert original smooth points to sharp also, and this behaviour differs from platform to platform.
