When saving as PDF, downsampling does not function for images that are part of a transparency mask
Windows 10 - Illustrator CC Desktop
How to create issue:
Place a linked image. Use linked image with another object to create a transparency mask. Save as PDF. Adjust downsampling options. View created PDF with a PDF viewer and see that the image did not get downsampled. Also, look at file size of created PDF.
Release the transparency mask and resave with all other variables identical to other saved file. Open the file in a PDF viewer and see that it is properly downsampled. Also, look at file size and see that it is smaller than the other created PDF.

option key keps getting stuck randomly
MacOS Catalina
switching between tools via shortcuts,
the option Key shouldn't be aktive when it's not pressed.
The key sometimes act like its pressed when it's not.
The option key keeps getting stuck. A hardware problem could already be ruled out, that the problem also exists on another keyboard. The problem also occurs in Photoshop. I work with a Wacom Cintiq Pro (latest driver).2 votes -
illustrator crashes 25.3.1 when saving files
Illustrator crashes when saving to server or trying to open files from server. Iv had more success dragging files directly into illustrator from finder as opposed to using file>open. Also, having issues with illustrator saying that some files are locked when i try to open. using new iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021) version 11.4

Convert to Artboards doesn't work when on the layer exists a repeat grid object
I make a regular rectangle and try to convert it to artboard and get the attached error. If I put that rectangle on another layer, doesn't contain a repeat grid object it works.

Direktauswahlwerkzeug funktioniert nicht
Direktauswahlwerkzeug lasst sich nicht verwenden. Für die Programme bezahle ich ca 59 Euro monatlich, damit ich auf Illustrator verzichten muss. Per Mail und Telefon kann man niemanden erreichen. Eine Schande.

制作したデータを保存する際に、拡張子まで選択される。
Macbook Pro（15-inch.2016）マジック ツールバー搭載モデル
macOS Catalina 10.15.3Illustrator2020／Photoshop2020
制作データを保存しようとすると、ファイル名だけでなく、毎回必ず拡張子まで選択されます。
「別名で保存」「複製を保存」問わず、毎回必ず拡張子まで選択される為、ファイル名を変更しようとすると拡張子まで消えてしまいます。
その都度ファイル名を選択し直してから保存していますが、煩わしくてしかたありません。
この症状はIllustratorだけでなく、Photoshopでも同じ現象が起こります。
他のアプリケーションでは、データを保存する際このような症状は出ません。

Group of strokes disappeared after change stroke thickness!
We are having an issue with illustrator last version in MOJAVE OS.
When we change the stroke thickness in a group of objects with different color strokes the same group disappeared. HELP!!!!

GUI language problem in Properties Panel
Im using Illustrator 25.2
And almost eeverything works fine.

Copy (or Cut) \ Paste: the object appears on the same layer when another layer is selected.

I have an object\s on layer 1. I copy\cut it. Select layer 2, press Paste - the object Appears on layer 1 and layer 2 is still selected.

It should appear on layer 2 as it was before.

I can not copy\paste objects on another layer, I can only move them in Layer Window.3 votesAs per the comment, this often happens if you enable Paste Remembers Layers in the Layers panel’s flyout menu. With it turned on, Ai respect the original layers of pasted objects.

Document Color mode switching automatically to "Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0" every time I switch windows.

Mirroring elements takes line thickness or pasted inside elements into account which makes little sense
When mirroring lines via the effect tool at their outmost left or right side (see last screenshot), the effects takes the line thickness into account. I cannot think of any cases where this is of any use. I would expect a behaviour as shown in the second screenshot.
Same thing with elements that are pasted inside. The effect mirrors from the pasted inside object instead of the box into which the object is passted. Why? Is there one single case where this makes sense? I could not hink of any. Again the diesired behaviour is shwon in the second screenshot.

bug bruche appearance
The appearance of a bruche change when copied to an other file. Also in the bruche menu the selected bruche doesn't appear when selected, but a random other bruche.

3D wire frame is really strange
Can somebody check it, would be nice if someone did it professionally. The lines around the globe are not as they should be.

Some freeform gradients change when selected with one or more other objects
The problem always seems to affect the same objects and certain color groups. I've attached two pictures: the first shows the gradient I created, the second shows how the gradient changed the instant I selected it with another object.

Cannot place a bitmap TIFF into Illustrator (24.3 or 25.2)
MacOS Catalina 10.15.4
AI 24.3, 25.2I am unable to place any bitmap TIFF into the two latest versions of Illustrator. I tried two different versions of the file at two different dimensions and file-sizes.
I get the dialogue: "Illustrator could not read the file [Filename]. Try replacing this with another valid link.
I have never had this issue before. I tried a workaround wherein I open the TIFF directly in AI, and then copy/paste to my target file. However, the file is embedded and for large format work, this is not an acceptable workflow.
Please help. TIA

Video driver is not supported
Windows 10
Illustrator v 25.2
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600, Version 20.19.15.5171 (04.11.2020)
What can I do? I have updated the driver, but the report is still there. Do I get instability and data loss if I suppress this report or deactivate some features in the preferences?2 votes -
Illustrator stürzt nach Umschalten auf "Pfadansicht" ab.

Ein Dokument in welchem ein 1px Raster mit 4 Unterteilungen angelegt wurde, bringt nach umschalten auf die Pfadansicht das Programm zum abstürzen.
Wenn ich den Raster ausblende, funktioniert Illustrator einwandfrei.1 vote -
Live corners are stretching
The corners are supposed to be live, but yet they stretch/distort when transforming. Objects with round corners should retain their radii, or I should have the option/keyboard modifier to change this behavior. The radio button in the transform palette is not working.
The options should be scale, distort, or retain current value.

I can't use anything
When I open a photo, no panel opens on the right or left and I only look at the page I opened.
