  1. GPU Preview glitches with clipping masks and transparency (since Illustrator 29.6.0), white rectangle appears below

    I've encountered a rendering issue starting in Illustrator 29.6.0, and it's still present in 29.6.1. Here's how to reproduce it:

    1. Create a simple circle.
    2. Create a simple rectangle.
    3. Place the circle inside the rectangle using a clipping mask.
    4. Apply any transparency to the circle (e.g., set opacity < 100%, or add a drop shadow).

    Result:
    The rendering becomes corrupted for any object positioned beneath the clipping mask (try placing a filled shape underneath to see the issue clearly).

    Additional Notes:

    The issue only appears in GPU Preview.
    Switching to CPU Preview restores correct rendering.

  2. Impossible de redimensionner un objet sur Illustrator

    Bonjour, 
     
    Depuis la mise à jour Illustrator 2025, je n'arrive plus à redimensionner un objet ou une image. 
    Le curseur ne s'affiche pas dans le coin comme habituellement sur les autres versions d'illustrator.

  3. モノクロになってしまう

    illustrator2025
    Windows11

    Adobeクラウドに保存していたものを開くと「プレビューを終了できません。指定した処理を実行できませんでした」というポップアップが出てしまい、保存していたものがモノクロになってしまって編集もできない。クラウドの一覧で見ると正常そう。

  5. Bug: Typing a "+" to begin a point text object and then following it with a space will break the point text object.

    Typing a "+" to begin a point text object and then following it with a space will break the point text object. I have replicated on a completely separate machine with a different user. This is a bad bug for people trying to put a telephone number with a country code into a layout.

    System info:
    • Illustrator 29.6
    • MacBook Pro M4
    • 48 GB RAM
    • macOS Sequoia 15.5.

    Steps to repeat:
    1. Create a new point text object
    2. Type in "+ 123456789" (plus followed by a space followed by 123456789)

    Observed behaviour:

    I get a message of a script error on startup; either InDesign or Photoshop. If I remove the 'offending' script, it moves on to find an error in another file.

  7. PDF/X-4で書き出す際にダウンサンプルされる

    macOS14.7.2/Imac27inch i5/32GB mem/1TB ssd
    Illustrator ver29.5

    再現手順
    1.800ppiのモノクロ2開帳の画像をドキュメントに原寸で配置する。
    2.ファイル→コピーを保存を実行、PDF形式を選択し次のダイアログでプリセット「PDF/X-4:2008（日本）」を選択して保存する。
    3.PDFを開いて配置した画像を調べると300ppiにダウンサンプルされている。

    期待する結果
    800ppiのままダウンサンプルされずに保存される。

    実際の結果
    配置したビットマップ画像は300ppiにダウンサンプルされる。

    このプリセットでは実行解像度が1800ppiを超えた際に1200ppiにダウンサンプルされるように設定されている。配置状態で800ppiの画像はダウンサンプルの条件に当てはまらない為ダウンサンプルされてはいけない。
    また、300ppiという数値はモノクロビットマップ画像を取り扱うには致命的に低い解像度と言える。

    回避方法
    ビルトインのPDF/X-4プリセットは利用せず、同等のプリセットを自身で作成して利用する。その他、プリプレス関連メーカーが配布するPDF/X-4プリセットを利用しても良い。

    1. Place an 800ppi monochrome bitmap image in the document in its original size.
    2. Select File→Save a copy, choose PDF format, and in the next dialog, select the preset "PDF/X-4:2008 (日本)" and save the file.
    3. Open the PDF file in Acrobat and check the placed image to find that it has been downsampled to 300ppi.

    Expected result
    The image is saved without being downsampled to 800ppi.

    Actual result
    The placed bitmap image is downsampled to 300ppi.

    After updating Adobe Illustrator, I have encountered a serious issue when working with PDF files that contain multiple artboards. When opening such files, I receive the following error message:

    If I choose to import, only one artboard remains in the opened file, and all other artboards disappear. This happens with all files saved with multiple artboards, resulting in significant data loss.

  10. Open or place PSD file does not keep any editable layers

    I am trying to open a file that I created in PSD that has three layers plus some adjustment layers. Two of these layers are text. Regardless of if I open or place them Illustrator, the file comes in as a single bitmap layer. Open does ask me if I want to keep the layers and text, but it does not work. Place doesn't ask; it just places the image.

  11. Cursor stays invisible after exiting Presentation mode

    How to reproduce:
    Create a multiple artboard document.
    Enter presentation mode.
    Do not move the mouse.
    Use the left and right arrow keys to view all the art boards.
    Note that windows will make the mouse cursor invisible since you are not using it.
    Press ESC to return to normal viewing/editing mode.
    Now the mouse cursor is invisible.

    Work around: If you go back to presentation mode and wiggle the mouse and press ESC while the mouse is visible then the mouse will be visible in normal screen mode.

  13. Can't Save multiple artboards as a Single File PDF from Export for Screens in 29.6

    Even though the single file option is checked, multiple artboards will not be saved in a single file, but as separate PDFs.
    This worked in previous versions.

  14. Non-global swatches in cloud libraries don't retain names when added in new documents

    I have a large cloud library with like 800 swatches for customers that I need to use in multiple different documents. Most of the swatches were uploaded with the global tag so when I use them later on, they still have their name when I add it to the documents. However, some of my swatches are missing the global tag so when I add them later on, they just automatically convert the selected object to CMYK and doesn't add it to my swatch panel.

    If it matters, my workflow is selecting the objects that need the new swatches, then clicking…

    When i have two or more opened files and i navigate through Ctrl+Tab the first files remains open but no tool works except Ctrl+0 and then all starts working again...

  16. Severe color shift in GPU Preview when placing images — macOS Sequoia + M4 chip + Illustrator 2025

    I'm experiencing a serious color rendering issue in Adobe Illustrator 2025 on my new MacBook Pro (M4 chip) running macOS Sequoia 15.5.
    When placing or embedding images (JPG/PNG), the GPU Preview mode displays extreme color shifts, making the artwork look completely different from the source image. However, switching to CPU Preview restores correct colors— but the performance becomes noticeably slower and almost unusable for real-time editing.

    I use the latest version of Illustrator cc 2025, on Windows 10.
    This problem has been going on for several, many versions back so it is not a version problem, but an Illustrator problem.

  18. Brushes become a lighter tint of black in an RGB document when expanded or rasterized.

    Brushes like Art Brushes are based on a CMYK document. They were created with C0 M0 Y0 K100.
    When these brushes are used in an RGB document with an RGB black (0/0/0) for the stroke, the result will be around a lighter 10% black than expected because the CMYK black will be converted to RGB.
    You can check that by expanding, rasterizing or Output Preview in Acrobat.

    Meine Datei besteht aus einigen Ebenen in denen Objekte in Gruppen oder einzeln liegen. Für den Export muss ich Elemente ausblenden. Zur Sicherheit habe ich alle anderen Objekte auf der Ebene stets gesperrt. Beim ein- und ausblenden entsteht der Fehler: Trotz Sperrung und Ausblendung wird das Objekt weiterhin angezeigt.     With the latest Windows update, every time I open or create a new file, the desktop screen goes black. I tried uninstalling the latest version and reverting to previous versions, and the same thing happens.
    My computer is an HP Pavilion.
    Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics 2.00 GHz.
    Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.4 GB usable).
