Shortcut for Split Into Grid
I previously had a custom shortcut assigned to the “Split Into Grid” command, and it was incredibly useful. However, it seems that this shortcut no longer works and the command has been removed from the Illustrator keyboard shortcuts menu, preventing me from reassigning it.
I truly hope this feature can be reinstated, as it significantly streamlines the workflow and enhances productivity.

Enough with the memory sucking "upgrades" already!
Hey Adobe, you've already forced us all to pay more for your subscription based software model now, so maybe instead of focusing so ******* building memory sucking AI generative tools for people who aren't artists, you should provide a version for the folks who don't need all this new ****. Stop messing with perfectly good and functional software that real artists want to use! I can't even tell you how many times the recent releases have crashed and I lost all my work, it's incredibly frustrating! I have a new macbook pro that can handle the demand, so the problems…

Edit Gradient Issue
As you can tell by the picture, I've clicked on an object that already has a gradient, but it does not give me the option to click 'Edit Gradient' and it does not already show me the gradient line over top of the object so I can manipulate the sliders. However, when I clicked on the object below (which also has a gradient) it did give me the option to click "Edit Gradient"

Mesh Envelope Distortion renders as shifted on Large Canvas
Taka look at the files attached.
Envelopes on large canvas render their distorted content shifted, compared to normal canvas.
It’s a bug similar to brushes: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/41713246

Color picker picks a color behind the OK button
When using the eyedropper in Color Picker, when you click OK it samples the color behind the OK button instead of the one selected with the eyedropper.

HEX Franklin Variable Font is Not Visible when Editing
I am on a Mac running Illustrator 29.4. I am trying to use the variable OTF version of HEX Franklin, and all Adobe apps do not render the letterforms. When I try to select the variable font in the dropdown, it just defaults back to Myriad or the default typeface.
Other variable fonts work as intended, but specifically, this one is broken. Any possible fix?

I use PDFs for proofs to send to clients. They tend to make AI crash more than any other issue I have.

Objects invisible after leaving Isolation Mode
After making changes in Isolation Mode the objects become invisible until I move it. This has been happening to me in many different files.

Text Overflow / Overset (+) Indicators are not shown
A strange thing is happening with a few of my files. Some text boxes have stopped showing the indicator when clicking off of the text box which has text overflow. This recently cause me to mistakenly print a file that had text overflowing with no indication. Why is this happening?

SVG "Export" or "Save as" not working
Unable to export or save any file as SVG unless I select an artboard, never had issues with this before. It does nothing when trying to, not even a error message.

Saving a new Image Trace preset does not remember the "Auto Grouping" checkbox’s state
When doing Image Trace, I don't need Auto Grouping. I tweak all the settings, uncheck "Auto Grouping", and save a New Preset.
But after applying that saved preset to the new image, "Auto Grouping" checkbox is still checked by default - and i need to uncheck it every time manually (and that triggers "re-trace") before i click "Expand".
I need to have a preset without "Auto Grouping", but it's impossible to do, since Illustrator simply ignores that check-box when saving a preset.2 votes -
Animated zoom not working on latest version 29.4 for MacBook Air M4 24GB unified memory
I am not able to animated zoom in or out after 50%. It directly jumps to 100% and gets glitchy even after that point. The same issue is happening when I try to view it in presentation mode - it just displays my art board at 50% or less or 100%. Even when I manually input the zoom percentage in the bottom left corner, it automatically jumps to 50%.
I checked GPU performance and animated zoom and made sure it's checked on.

SVG files open altered
My files are continuously saving incorrectly. They look great when I save, but when I close out and open it later, things are not as they were. Anchors/handles jump out of whack, stylized effects disappear, rasterized images go blank or disappear; it is maddening. I cannot use this program if my files do not reopen as I saved them. They are exactly right when I hit save, but upon reopening, or opening in another program, they are altered in infuriatingly time-consuming ways.
Possible related symptoms -- upon saving a file, Illustrator regularly tells me my file has been modified outside…

「グリッドにスナップ」がONの状態で、グリッドに沿っていないオブジェクトの辺やアンカーポイントをダイレクト選択ツールでクリックしようとしても選択できません。また、クリッピングマスクを施した画像に関しては、「グリッドにスナップ」がOFFの状態であっても、マスクの辺やアンカーポイントを選択できません。

There’s an issue with the undo function (Cmd + Z). Instead of undoing the last action, it jumps back to a much earlier point
There’s an issue with the undo function (Cmd + Z). Instead of undoing the last action, it jumps back to a much earlier point, and then it can’t be redone — it’s as if the last few steps never happened. Sometimes this also happens when saving the project, which is very problematic. It seems to occur randomly, and the only way to fix it is to close and reopen the program — but that doesn’t recover the lost actions either. I have the latest version of the app and a Macbook Pro M2 with 16gb of RAM.

Properties panel doesn’t detect the actual font and shows Myriad Pro by default
When I select a word, the Properties panel doesn’t detect the actual font and shows Myriad Pro by default. None of the text settings respond or update. The program doesn’t freeze, but the panel acts as if no text is selected. The same thing happens in the Control panel

While the file is still running in the software, it has vanished from the folder.
Regretfully, my file is no longer in the area where I saved it, but it is still open in the software, and I am unable to save it to any folder or Adobe Cloud. I don't know why this is occurring.

Can't print gradients!
Running Illustrator 29.4 on a brand new Mac Studio Ms Ultra. I can no longer print ANY gradients (past or newly created) that I make in Illustrator and save as a pdf. I can view them on the screen, but they disappear when printed—the whole shape/object/type is just missing. Never had this issue in the decades that I have been using Illustrator. Printing to a Canon inkjet with most current driver installed. HELP ME, PLEASE.

Artboard size units not right
Ai 29.4 / Sequoia 15.4
Create an artboard of 59,4 x 60 cm, add some graphics. Save as .pdf.
Place in InDesign, and see how it is actually 5,94 x 6 cm.

Spots and Globals are converted into process colors when included into Swatch Info
If we pick several spot or global color swatches to display in Swatch Info, the resulting color chips won’t be using the actual swatches picked — these would become process color copies — while Ink Types are shown as 'Spot' for spots... which are not... and no information about some being 'Global'.
I realize this connection would have to be monitored, refreshing cards when a swatch is changed...

5 votesAi Beta now keeps spot and global swatches intact when used in Swatch Info. Changing swatches gets updated on canvas, both in values displayed and the color.
