  2. can't paste object. the requested transformation....

    the image is 5 inches, and I'm pasting into a several page 8.5 x 11 document.... really can't tell you how much time I'm wasting, and I'm very irratated.

    I am not able to reproduce the issue on my side. Are you still able to reproduce this consistently on latest version of Illustrator?

    If yes please share a small video of the same at sharewithai@adobe.com so I can further investigate it.

  3. Opacity section in Properties Panel does not inform about blend modes

    If there is a blending effect applied in the opacity settings the properties panel does not reflect the blending mode. You have to click on the appearance panel or opacity to see if one is applied. Took me a few minutes to trouble shoot why an element was not visible. It would be nice if buried settings would show up if selected in the properties panel since it was designed to make the interface more simple.

  4. Preview on "save for web"

    Illustrator CC 2018
    iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)
    macOS High Sierra 10.13.1

    My preview on "save for web" on 100% is not the same size of my illustrator preview ! Both are 600x250px

    The preview "save for web" is smaller than reality

  5. Save a Copy in same folder of AI file (like before)

    Save a Copy in same folder of AI file (like before)

    Since the update to 22.0, the behaviour of “Save a copy” has changed so as to present the last-browsed folder destination in Windows Explorer. Previously this defaulted to the location of the working file.

    This is interrupting workflow considerably. I’m sure I am not alone in saving PDF copies of artwork in profess, for discussion with colleagues and clients. This used to be a couple of keystrokes but now I have to remember to browse back to the working file location each time.

    We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.

  7. Pressing keyboard arrows while 'Snap to grid' is on nudges art by two instead of one

    I can't use keyboard arrows to move art around the document because AI almost every time moves art at 2mm instead of 1mm, which is set in preferences.

    1. Create document, e.g. A4, with units set as mm
    2. Set grid 10×10 — it's my mostly used grid, because I live in metric world
    3. Set 'Keyboard increment' to 1mm
    4. Enable 'Snap to grid'
    5. Draw custom-sized rectangle
    6. Press Up or Down several times and watch how coordinates change

    Expected:
    Rectangle's Y should go like this:
    55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61...

    Actual result:
    Rectangle jumps like this:
    55, 57, 58, 61, 63,…

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.3.0 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  8. When exporting to a png or eps, the text in the file are blurry and i cannot use for anything.

  9. Find Font broken between OSX and Windows

    Find Font is broken.

    For a missing font it requests a different font for OSX and Windows for the same file. It has something to do with the family name or font name or something. The important thing is that it is inconsistent between OS and is impossible to determine the correct font due to this error. This is confirmed to be effecting many people.

  13. Startup performance

    Illustrator has always been sluggish on startup, but 27 seconds on a recent SSD MBP is totally unacceptable IMO.

    Thoughts anyone?

    By comparison PS is ready to go in 7sec.

    Standard install CC 2018 / Il 22 on MacOS 10.13.1

    Our typical launch numbers on a SSD MBP is around 6-7 seconds hence we would like to understand more about the issue and problem.

  14. freeze

    My Version is Ai CC 2018
    I opened Ai and try to load a new brush that I downloaded, the first time I did it by selecting the Other Library and choose the Brush file was fine, but then on it just freeze every time I do it, before I could even select the section that has the file, the application freezes.

  15. Changing default units reverts back from/to inches to/from points on relaunch / restart

    I can't change the default units. When I change the unit in General from inches to Point. Illustrator reverts it back to the inches again when I restart the illustrator. This is super annoying. Please don't need to upgrade the feature of illustrator just fix the existing ones and give us a bug-free application.

  16. Error message while launching Illustrator CC 2018

    This message in German occurs while launching Illustrator 2018. After saying OK, a fragmentary Applikation displays, which is not operational. It is completely buggy and blocks even Finder until it is being quit.
    "This process can't be completed, because an unknown message has occurred. [CANT]"
    I have to work with the 2017 version.

  17. Reverting Text to default State after Live Preview of character properties

    I'm on an iMac running High Sierra 10.13.2 and Illustrator CC 22.0.1

    Text will randomly hide bounding boxes, apply tracking to text not selected, and refuse to apply adjustment to selected text. Closing the document and re-opening normalize things temporarily, but above behaviors come back.

    All CC apps seem laggy and unstable after 2018 updates.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  19. Windows Panels resize at applications restart

    Not sure if this is a Windows issue or a new AI 2018 issue. The problem I am having with all 2018 Adobe products is that when I enter back into AI after restart my Window Panel properties are all collapsed even though my saved work-space is saved with all of them always expanded. This causes me to go through every window panel and expand it. Not a huge deal but super annyoing and a time waste. This is happening consistently. I am running Win10- pro with the latest AI CC update.

  20. Unite on Pathfinder leaves mess of little vectors

    This is something that happens to me frequently when creating underbases for screen printing. I'll make a copy of my top colors and unite them to create my base, and there's a mess of little vectors left behind that have to be cleaned up before I can trap the base. There's no gaps in the art so these vectors should not be there and this is a big lag on my production time.

    As per the comment, you can adjust the Pathfinder precision in Pathfinder Options dialog, accessible from the Pathfinder’s panel flyout menu. The higher the value, the less accurate the result is going to be. Lesser values gives more precision, but it can lead to many 'residuals'. The default value is 0.028 pt, but you might try something like 0.01 pt and see if it works better.
