Undo deletes more than one history step
Doing undo (Cmd + Z) Illustrator often deletes more than one step and resets the document close to its original/previously saved version.
Illustrator version: 23.0.3
OS: Mac OS Mojave 10.14.41 voteIf you still have this problem happening, please share a test file, the steps needed to get the behavior, and a video recording of it, with History panel opened in view, so the team can reproduce the issue on their side.

Working on a Mac touchpad when moving around the project with 2 fingers gesture zooming triggers automatically with extreme intensity.
I used to work on my projects on my touchpad and now with the new updates somehow this bug appeared. Now it is a struggle to move around the project without a spacebar or with a hand tool instead of the previous Mac touchpad gesture.

Outlined text corrupting in "placed" logo files
AI logos with outlined text are being clipped/thinned/skewed when placed in both Illustrator and InDesign in 2025 apps.

Unknown error during file import
Illustrator 2025 (29.1)
MacBook Pro M3 16"
MacOS Sonoma 14.7.1When importing I'm getting a random "Unknown error" message. Afterwich the import failes.
This seems chipset related. When I boot Illustrator 2024 (28.7.3) in Rosetta mode, the error is gone.

Partial selection of points is lost (the whole object becomes selected) when Undo and/or Redo are used
Procedure:
- Make a complex selection of several points of an object with the Direct Selection Tool (white arrow)
- Double-click the Direct Selection Tool in the Toolbar (or press Enter) to bring up the transform dialog
- Enter values and confirm transformation with OK
- Undo
- The selection switches to entire object.

Fill gradient, save, and then open the file. Gradient colors will become invalid

Dragging objects conflicts with Screen Sharing in Sonoma
Dragging an object tries to convert it into EPS format.

Automatic and manual saving does not function
Autosave and manual save does not work for Illustrator.
I created a file, worked on it, saved intentionally several times, but after a day of work illustrator has not saved anything neither locally nor in the cloud.The autosave function is on.
Does anybody know what could be the issue?

Paragraph style with bulletpoints doesn't apply bullets when coming from CC library
When I make a new paragraph style with bullets or numbering in an Illustrator document, I would like to reuse that. When I copy the style to the CC library, and apply that in a new document: the bulletstyle or numbering is lost.
Instead when I copy the textbox to the library, and place that in a new document, the paragraph styles behave identical to how they did in the original document.
I would suggest to make an improvement there, and not break the functionality of the paragraphstyles when used in a proper way through the library.. For me this…2 votes -

Layers get messed up when exporting
Export JPG and PNG, the layers messed up, the hidden layers show up, and the layers on top showed being covered by the objects from the layers down.

Gaussian Blur Effect Changed in 29.1 from 29.0.1

This was last an issue with 24.2.3, and since 24.3 it had been successfully fixed with consistent results in 29.0.1.
December 2nd, 2024: We have discovered that the issue is how the Gaussian Blur effect performs on Process vs Spot colours.
In 29.1, Gaussian blur now produces an identical effect on both process & spot colours. We'd consider that a fix, as a designer should expect the same result no matter the colour used.
The challenge here for Adobe is weighing "fixing the blur" vs customer legacy files.…

Pantone or other book colors in a CMYK document look fine in Overprint preview mode but get exported to an RGB images as dull
When we add a Pantone or a different book color into a CMYK document, we can see how it looks 'for real' when we enable Overprint mode — all fair.
Then we would need to share this image with a client, so we export an RGB image... and this image shows out vivid book color as a dull-and converted-to-CMYK-and-then-to-RGB color — which is not what we have in mind.
This is a bug, honestly, I think, but also a request — we need to be able to export images as we see them in Overprint Preview mode... Ai respect overprints…
