Option + Arrow Key Not Working in Illustrator 2018
In all previous releases that I can remember. If you held down the option key and then tapped arrow key Illustrator would create a copy and move the object by the distance set in preferences. In the current version this functionality is missing and actually nothing happens. Is this working for anyone or is there a fix?

Keyboard shortcut for Change Case > UPPERCASE is missing
- In version 22.1 there is no anymore option for Type > Change Case > UPPERCASE in Keyboard Shortcuts.
- I miss that Shortcut, that's all.

Selection of multiple text objects - changing font not working
We can no longer change the font of multiple text objects at once.
When multiple text objects are selected, Ai thinks this is a 'mixed selection' and does not come up with the typeface selector. Layer Panel is blank & not representing any layer panel icons or titles
Layer Panel went blank randomly in a multi-layered project. Cannot view titles or any icons. Sometimes running the mouse over layer panel reveals the information that the mouse points at, however, only to disappear (title info, icons etc) if you click on layer.
Latest version of Illustrator CC 2018. Have rebooted system twice, one shutdown for several hours, one restart. Also researching online to find similar issues. Seems to be relatively new issue.
2 votesSorry to hear that you are facing this issue. Can you please check layer options dialog?
From panel flyout open Layer Options and see if the thumnails for “Layers” “Groups” and “Objects” are selected and “Top Layer Only” is Not selected.Also “Show Layers Only” check box should be deselected.

crashing
So, I updated to the latest version of illustrator about two weeks ago. Then I realised it crashed every 30 minutes or so, every single time i used it. I'm not doing anything particularly heavy, it just crashes randomly. and I often lose the work i've done as the auto save doesnt seem to catch the last few things I've been doing. So, I decided to uninstall and go back to the 2017 version. Which then lead to my documents having their own issues. all saving as transparent, or with weird lines going through them. Units in AI 2018 not functioning properly
The new update to Illustrator, 2018, seems to be having issues with files made in previous versions of Illustrator, as of 10/19/17. I'm having trouble setting the Units. When I try to set my rulers to inches, they seem to remain at points - even the properties pallet.
Although, I just reinstalled 2017 (on 10/20/17) because of these bugs and when I launched the AI app from the CC app, it launched the 2018 version (since I had not yet uninstalled it). When I checked again, this issue seems to have been resolved since yesterday. I kept double checking and…

CC 2018 zoom!
CC 2018 zoom is zooming anywhere but where I want it, even with -preferences-zoom to selection OFF. Its driving me mad and slowing me down in designing, which I have deadlines every day. Please, please can you sort this?

Rendering Issue When Not Using Application Frame
When the Application Frame is turned off and a file is opened it does not render correctly. Instead broken sections of the screen appear. It's different each time. In order for the file to render the Application Frame must be turned on. It can then be turned back off if the user prefers not to work in the Application Frame. I have attached a screen grab of one of the files opened with the Application Frame turned off.

SVG files scaling issue
At the opening, AI does not take in consideration a transform define in a <use /> in a SVG file and all elements defined in this section have wriong scale (see displayingissue.png). This is not obsevable in any web browser and competitor tool. In attachement, inital SVG file and the file modified (*_AI.svg) to get correct displaying in AI.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Properties panel bug
When you edit word in properties panel and you want to change first few letters in word from normal to bold. It will show you change but when you deselect type tools it will change entire word to bold. But if you go trough type panel everything is fine.
And if you change stroke size in properties panel to 0,5 pt it will apply 5 pt, for 0,25 pt 25 pt and for 0,75pt 75pt stroke.

This issue has been fixed in the latest version of Illustrator.
Please update Illustrator to latest version (23.0.4 on MAC & 23.0.3 on WIN) and verify the fix.

corrupted image shown on screen
Im working and every time I move an object around the image gets corrupted, I need to zoom in or zoom out, but its impossible, it looks like pieces are missing from the vector images. I just bought a newMac book pro, in my previous computer I did not had this issue. Please fix it its impossible to work like this

Strokes become sporadic and missing in some places
Strokes become sporadic and missing in some places. I don't know what the issue is. My strokes were perfect yesterday and now I update my Mac and the strokes are now sporadic, jagged and missing in places. See screenshot.

Playing scripts via action with no open documents
Running scripts via an action only appears to work if there is at least one open document.
Steps:
1. Create a simple script (such as app.documents.add)
2. Save to Illustrator scripts folder.
3. Record to action via 'Insert Menu Item'
4. Make sure no documents are open
5. Play action. Illustrator displays the message 'The object <ScriptName> is not currently available.'If you run the script via File > Scripts, it runs normally. Illustrator freezes - must close using Task Manager
Illustrator freezes, menus not accessible and/or if they open, it is blank. I can still select items on the artboard, but cannot use anything in menus and tools. Once Illustrator freezes, I cannot close unless I use the Task Manager.

Pen Tool preview disappears
After using Illustrator for a period of time - say, 15-20 minutes - the pen tool preview ("Rubber Band") stops appearing on screen, even though it is still activated in the preferences. Restarting Illustrator restores it, until it disappears again. And over and over again. This happens on multiple PCs, multiple configurations, multiple versions of Illustrator.

Illustrator CC (2018) will run out of memory and/or crash
Will sip every mb of your memory and won't let me zoom in after that, changes to CPU preview and will tell that there's no memory left and crash.
Happened to me several times in one day alone and with only 2 files open (light vector only). Filled shape does not follow the curve exactly
If I fill the new shape with color it doesn´t really work. I get a straight outline instead of a curve. Additionally there is a difference between outline view and colored view.

Illustrator CC won't embed color profile correctly
Windows 10 64-Bit
Illustrator 22.0.1Whenever I am saving an Illustrator .ai file with the checkbox for embed color profile checked, the resulting file does not have a color profile embedded correctly. When I reopen that file in Illustrator it seems to have the correct profile embedded but in Bridge or InDesign the file appears to have no color profile attached. If I export the same file as .psd file Illustrator embeds the color profile correctly.

Hebrew punctuation goes from the wrong side
Hebrew punctuation problem.
Right now (finally, thank you) you can write in hebrew right-to-left.
BUT the punctuation still comes out always in the wrong direction.
