  1. [Bug] "Print As Bitmap" (unchecked) checkbox is not honored.

    When I uncheck "Print as Bitmap", it is not honored at all, in any circumstance:
    a) In the Summary, it gaslights me.
    a) When I press Done and reopen, it's checked again.
    c) When I print, the graphics come out jagged, which tells me it is being processed with Print as Bitmap.

    I'm on AI Version 27.2, just updated.
    Apple M1 Max, MacOS 13.1

  2. Bounding boxes disappeared

    Since updating to Version 27.2 all the bounding boxes have disappeared. To resize objects I can only put numbers in the Height and Width text boxes or click and drag individual anchor points with the Direct Selection tool. There is no way to click and drag an entire object to resize it. Late yesterday, even the anchor points disappeared, but closing and reopening Illustrator brought them back.

  3. Color UI won't stop auto filling in shapes with a last used color

    I don't know if this is a bug or not, but ever since updating to Illustrator 27.2, the color picker in the color UI (after holding shift + click) won't stop auto filling in selected shapes with the last applied color used to fill in a previous shape. This is very frustrating and significantly bogging down workflows.

  4. Repeated items become invisible when I close and open Illustrator

    I made a file in Illustrator with a few shapes that get repeated in a grid, but when I close and open the file again, some shapes become invisible. When I click on them enough so they get in isolation mode, they appear again, but everytime I open the file they are invisible at the start.

    I tried to copy and paste these in a different document but that doesn't help.

    My operating system: Windows 11 Home
    Version of Adobe Illustrator: 27.1, but when I used 27.0.1 it was also there.

  5. Dragging grid repeats to fill artboard

    Every time I drag the repeat to fill the artboard, Illustrator crashes and I have to reopen. Impossible to complete the piece. v27.2 Windows 10. All up to date and been happening a while.

  6. Selecting and moving points

    When I select a curve that has another element behind, and then try to select a point to move it, most of the time I end up selecting and element behind this point (another curve or layer). So to avoid this I end up locking all element except the one I'm working on it, if I don't end up loosing a lot of time doing this point selection over and over...
    My guess is you should establish some virtual lock while this moving operation are happening, or some priority hierarchy...
    Another problem is while I move the point I'm pressing…

  7. Converting Text to Outlines no longer creates Simple Ungroupable compound path.

    When converting text to outlines in Illustrator 27.2, the text becomes transparent, contained within a clipping mask, and ungroupable.

    Previously, the text would become a grouped compound path of the same fill color as it was as text. I could easily ungroup it.

    I now have to release the clipping mask, release compound path, and use the shape builder tool to fix the letters with holes in them that are now filled in (letters such as R, B, b, O, o, e, etc...

    I am using Windows 11

    Could not attach .ai file. Kept getting "could not submit feedback" error…

  8. Some variable fonts get expanded in parts

    If you apply a stroke to a live text using Acumin Variable Concept, Myriad Variable Concept, Minion Variable Concept fonts, the stroke stays solid.
    If you expand these, glyphs are united.

    However, if you do the same with Bahnschrift, Cascadia Code, Clash Grotesk Variable, Source Code Variable (and perhaps some other fonts), you get glyphs partitioned.

    To workaround this, we can use Pathfinder Add effect... but it won’t help if you have different fills applied to your characters.

    Why the results are different? why Illustrator treats some variable fonts as a collection of sub-parts, but others stay wholesome?

  9. Not saving changes for transparency.

    I am using latest Illustrator 2023 on Windows 11 22H2, after changing transparency of any object / text when i save file it saves but when i open again it's actually not saved (only transparency setting) rest all changes are saved (video attached) to get idea but don't know why it's not showing menu in video, but you will get what i mean.

  10. Sharp corners of a convex curve get displayed wrong with GPU Preview

    I've noticed on this newer version of Illustrator that some corners are showing an odd line overlap. Noticeable when zoomed in. I've attached pictures.

    It is also applying this to shapes made in older versions.

  11. Constantly Crashing

    I am on a iMac & the program crashes quite often with no set reason except I am doing either using a new tool, saving or switching layers... It also has locked up several times & I don't think my files are that big...

  12. With large UI scaling enabled, New Document dialogue does not properly display input text boxes

    Setting UI Scaling preference to large causes the New Document dialogue to incorrectly display text input values due to baseline being too high and clipping off top of characters, making it difficult to edit. This does not appear to affect other dialogues although not all were reviewed.

  13. Illustrator keeps stealing focus when opening documents in background...

    When selecting a lot of files in windows and then opening them in AI, for every document that opens, AI takes the focus away from whatever I am doing in the background. This is very annoying. Please fix.

  14. Unable to set Illustrator 2022 as default app

    When setting the default app for Illustrator files, 2022 version doesn't appear as an option. Files always open in 2021. When using Windows Default Apps setting, Illustrator 2022 doesn't appear as an option. This problem doesn't occur with other 2022 Adobe apps such as InDesign and Photoshop.

  15. Illustrator 27 (last version) crashes

    Illustrator crashes after some minutes of use without any apparent reason. I have run any possible thing to solve it. I am just drawing with my wacom tablet, the same I have done for the last 3 years. The files are usually partially recovered, but there is no error name or code displayed.

  17. 3D Revolve Classic not updating applied symbols after symbol changes

    Making changes inside a symbol does not update where it is used as an instance. Video below shows editing of an extrude with a symbol applied to the outside of a cylinder. The preview toggle on/off inside the extrude tool also does not work in updating the applied symbol in real time.

  19. CEP Extension Window MinSize Change On Mac OS When UI Scaling Large

    CEPエクステンションで、
    ウィンドウサイズを最小サイズに変更するボタンを設置しようとしていますが、
    Mac版でUIスケール拡大時、スクリプトで手動変更の最小サイズまでリサイズできません。

    1.お使いのオペレーティングシステムおよび Adobe Illustrator (デスクトップ版) のバージョン
    Illustrator2022,2023 MacOS

    2.問題が発生したときに実行していた手順
    ユーザーインターフェイス＞UIスケール
    　小から大に変更
    エクステンションの最小幅200、最小高さ400
    ウインドウサイズへ変更ボタン（CSInterface.resizeContent(200,400)が実行される）を押す

    3.想定していた結果
    最小サイズまでウインドウサイズがリサイズ

    実際の結果
    リサイズされない

    ■詳細■
    Windows版では、UIスケールを拡大した時は、
    エクステンション自体が拡大表示されいて、特に問題ありません。

    ところがMac版で、UIスケールを拡大した時
    ウィンドウサイズのみ拡大されて、
    エクステンションの中身は拡大されません。
    このことは、別にOS差の仕様の違いとして、許容範囲内なのですが

    manifest.xmlにて
    <MinSize>
    <Height>400</Height>
    <Width>200</Width>
    </MinSize>
    と設定していて、
    CSInterface.getScaleFactor()で取得したScaleFactorが1.25の時

    ウィンドウ幅を最小にした時のサイズが
    Chromeでのデバッグで表示されるサイズは313px
    になっていて、設定サイズよりも大きくなり、
    想定した幅まで最小化できなくなります。

    また
    CSInterface.resizeContent(width, height)でのリサイズは

    CSInterface.resizeContent(300, 500)
    → width: 375 (設定値:300×ScaleFactor:1.25)
    height: 625 (設定値:500×ScaleFactor:1.25)
    設定値×scaleFactorのサイズになるので
    高さを維持して、幅だけ変えたいときとか、ScaleFactorを意識しないといけないため
    不便に感じます。

    ただ、これも仕様を把握していれば、なんとか対応できます。

    困っているのは、
    illustrator2022,2023(Mac)にて、
    CSInterface.resizeContent()の許容値がおかしいことです。
    manifest最小値、最大値の範囲内なら、有効のはずですが

    Illustrator2022,2023(Mac)では、
    NG) CSInterface.resizeContent(200,400)
    NG) CSInterface.resizeContent(249,500)
    OK) CSInterface.resizeContent(250,500)
    となっていて、
    有効範囲までScaleFactor分拡大されています。

    しかし、先に述べた通り、
    CSInterface.resizeContentでは、設定値×scaleFactorで設定されるので、
    手動で変更可能な最小幅×ScaleFactorまでしか、スクリプト上では変更できません。
    (設定最小幅200、ScaleFactor1.25のとき、
    現在の手動最小幅250にしたいのに、313までしかスクリプトから変更できない)

    Illustrator2021(Mac)では
    CSInterface.resizeContent(200,400)が動いて、
    ウィンドウサイズを最小サイズまでリサイズできます。

    Mac版でUIスケール拡大時、スクリプトで最小サイズまでリサイズできるように
    修正お願いします。

  20. Swatch & Tool Names don't appear when I pause/hover the cursor over them.

    MacOs Monterey 12.0.1
    Adobe Illustrator 26.2.1

    When you hover over a swatch or tool & leave the cursor there for a second, the name of the swatch/tool always showed along with keyboard shortcuts for many of the tools.

    I was searching the Pantone colors & two colors came up. Rather than just one quick step, I had to do several.

    What should happen:
    I hover the cursor over the colors for a second to see which was which. Then I pick the one I was looking for.

    What happens now:
    I hover the cursor over the colors & nothing shows…
