1. Applying stroke for a non-grouped marqueed set of shapes removes fill from those objects (v25.3.1)

   Just as the title says, selecting a set of non-grouped objects and applying a stroke that selection causes all of the fills in those shapes to be removed.

2. Saved swatches from previous version doesn't look the same

   I've made a custom palette in an earlier version of Illustrator. Now importing these swatches into new documents the swatches and codes are vastly different - both cmyk and rgb swatches has been altered.

   On reference picture - left side colors are original swatch colors, right side is the imported swatches. Also attaching the correct color codes.

   What happened? How do I fix this?

3. BUG: Save As EPS using Artboards changes layer visibility

   I have an AI file with two artboards which I. exported into two separate EPS files, however the layer visibility was changed randomly and did not match the current layout. Note, preview "tiff" image in Finder was correct.

   Upon opening the file, I had to go through and turn on / off the appropriate layers to bring it back to the current state. Unlocking all layers and attempting to do this again did not change the results.

   Must have been introduced in the most recent update as this has previously worked as expected.

   Ver 25.2.3 - Mac OS 11.4

4. Extremely slow to drag items, zoom in and out shows glitches

   Mac OS Catalina, ver. 10.15.7
   MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports), 2,3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 32 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB

   Illustrator: 25.2.3

   Illustrator is very slow at times and shows the rainbow wheel when I'm trying to move objects (even simple ones) around the artboard.
   Also when zooming in and out the artwork becomes glitched (shows some fragments duplicated or parts of the artwork disappear). Restarting the program temporarily fixes the issue.

5. Imported SVG: y coordinate of coordinate space translation is ignored

   In Illustrator 24.3.2, if I import an SVG file with the instruction
   transform=“translate(x y)”
   the y value reverts to zero when Illustrator displays the artwork.
   This appears to be fixed in version 25.4.1, however I am working with a critical, multi-user workflow, where we are not yet ready to advance to that version...

7. Paste in Front not pasting on current artboard

   Paste in Front keeps pasting objects back on the original artboard, not on the one I have in focus, or a selected object on. Seems to error randomly, but when it does not work, it blows my productivity.

8. Variable Fonts style order on Character pallete

   When a variable font has an instance (that is not the first master) set as the default, it shows on top of the list and not in its right place. It should not move to the top of the list.

9. pattern glitch

   When moving an object with a pattern fill, I get these streaks and the lag is TERRIBLE. This also happens when editing a pattern as well.

   I'm working on a new iMac with an M1 chip. So far my Adobe programs run very slowly... not the upgrade I thought I'd be making.

   Please fix the pattern interface.

10. Art will not display, instead art flashes occasionally while alternating with an all-white & all-orange pasteboard.

    MacOS 11.3.1
    MacBook Pro 13 Inch M1 2020
    Illustrator 25.4.1

    Illustrator opens fine. however, once I open a document or create a new one, any interaction with the artboard causes the art to disappear and be replaced by flashing color blocks, sometimes white, sometimes orange, sometimes blue, and very occasionally I can see a glimpse of the art if I hold the command key.

    • Switching off GPU acceleration does not make anything better.
    • Uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator made the problem less profound. The art looks fine until I try to click on anything, then disappears into a field of white, occasionally reappearing, though it remains impossible to enact any edits.
    • During this flickering the cursor switches from the direct selection tool to an up and down arrow, and no clicking or interacting seems to do anything.
    • The latest Beta (26.0 667) Seems to work fine on my machine, but does not allow me to use crucial third party plugins, so my work cannot be completed.

11. Illustrator cloud documents gone - return on uninstall and reinstall, but gone again

    Every time Illustrator starts up it says "cloud documents gone"
    Have to uninstall and reinstall to get them to show...
    but cloud document are gone again after next boot
    The interface eventually breaks, the tools bars stop working, can not change layouts. Signed in, using the most recent version up to date, see attached image.

13. 9-slice scaling distorts objects on export.

    I have a simple arrow symbol with 9-slice scaling to be able to adjust the arrow's tail to different lengths. This works until I export to SVG, in which case the entire arrow gets distorted as if I hadn't enabled 9-slice scaling. Sample document attached. Please export for screens and use SVG.

14. Exporting svg through "export selection" bug issue

    I had a logo that had text converted to outline. So it was a shape. ( when you select an object and you go to file> Export Selection and choose .svg ) The letter "O" shifted, see screen shots.

15. スライス作成直後はスライスオプションのショートカットが無効になります

    「矩形を選択→オブジェクト＞スライス＞作成」の手順でスライスを作成した直後はショートカット（eg: option+command+K) でスライスオプションのウィンドが開きません。
    一度「矩形を選択→オブジェクト＞スライス＞スライスオプション」の手順でスライスオプションのウィンドを開くと以降はショートカットで同ウインドを開くことができるようになります。
    以前のバージョンからの症状ですが、バージョンがいくつか上がっても修正されないため報告いたします。

17. Direct Select tool selecting unnecessary groups

    Steps to repeat making unecessary groups (just one of many ways) in order to test how they break the direct select tool, and cause unpredictable appearances:

    1) make a rectangle.
    2) apply a "3D Extrude & Bevel" effect
    3) Expand appearance

    Now that you've flattened your 3D object, you'll have an extra 4 unnecessary groups come along for the ride. But you won't know this unless you use Vector Firstaid, or use the appearance panel to manually inspect the situation (argh!).

    4) Now use the direct select tool to click in the centre of one paths of the shape (direct select one of the paths – not a line or point)
    5) look in the appearance panel

    Expected behaviour: the appearance panel should display the path (as usual)

    Actual behaviour: the appearance panel displays the (unnecessary) group above the path

    Result: if you modify the appearance of the selection using the eye dropper, or the appearance panel, the modification is applied to the group. This appearance will interact with the appearances on the path bellow, as well as the (necessary) group above, causing anomalous behaviour. This requires the user to either manually enter the path appearance by double clicking in the panel, to manually remove the unnecessary group, or to use an additional paid plugin.

    Unnecessary groups are a routine part of using Illustrator. They don't just add bloat - they get in the way of the direct select tool and cause unpredictable appearances.

    Suggested solution: ensure that the direct select tool ALWAYS directly selects the target art item, and never a group.

    Bonus points for creating fewer unecessary groups as a matter of course.

18. Graphic Styles lost, duplicated and hard to manage in general.

    I have painstakingly applied graphic styles to hundreds of icons (the final icon library is for a large CAD application and comprises nearly 2600 icons) but all of a sudden, the styles are not recognised any more. Objects are still graphically the same but when I select an object, the styles panel does not light up where it should.
    I have been having trouble getting graphic styles to work properly with styles getting duplicated and the very clunky way of saving and reapplying graphic styles to objects. This issue just makes me think I shouldn't bother. What are Graphic Styles actually for if not for sticking to a design system that can be tweaked across hundreds of objects to make fine-tunes adjustments to the appearance?

19. Masking/clipping a sprayed Symbol Set drops performance

    Was working with spraying symbols to create a pattern, and then masking it. Symbol spraying etc, work great, until you mask them (transparency mask or clipping mask) after which any editing of symbols grinds to a halt.

    Even after unmasking, the symbols still cannot be quickly edited.

20. separation preview isnt working with eps files with the new update

    I used to place eps files into a new work space and the separation preview would show the color separation, the new update wont show any colors nor even cmyk like it used to before you places a linked image. how do i fix this issue? when an older version od ai is installed it works fine but the new update has stopped working
