  1. Helpx practice files not loading in Ai

    I am trying to go through a helpx tutorial to learn illustrator. I downloaded the practice file on helpx but am getting an error when trying to open it in illustrator.

  2. [BUG] .PNGs displaying as though they have a drop shadow

    .png files are displaying as though a drop shadow has been added to them - files display correctly in Photoshop. Document I've been working in is CMYK.

    Windows 10 Enterprise

  3. Overwriting PDF-Files does not work anymore with build 24.0.2 !

    Overwriting PDF-Files does not work anymore with build 24.0.2 ! Till 24.0.1 it works. Pleas fix this. Current Update is a desaster.

    Hi All,

    We have fixed this issue in 24.0.3 version of Illustrator (MAC only issue). Please update to 24.0.3 if you are encountering this issue. For all the other issues which you are encountering regarding the update or the new document dialog or any other please create another User Voice thread for that issue so that we can track it there itself.

  4. Unable to activate fonts

    I am unable to activate new fonts using the find more feature in AI. When I attempt to activate a font, it attempts to activate but does not complete. However, the font is indicated as active on fonts.adobe.com, yet still not available in AI.

  5. Warning Message "Partially selected objects..." Repeated

    The warning message repeats:

    "Partially selected objects cannot be set as key objects. In order to set an object as a key object, make sure the entire object is selected and try again."

  6. Export for screens scale problem

    Sometime ago, I entered 0.2x in the scale field in the Export for Screens dialog. Now, in all documents, even if I set the scale to 1, I get the 0.2x scale. Even in new documents! I have even tried to delete the scale definition, it always comes back as 0.2x

  8. Polygon is broken when opening from SVG

    The details to reproduce:
    1. Windows 10.
    2. Illustrator v. 25.3.1
    3. At least one polygon is broken during the import.
    4. The actual and expected results can be found in the attached AIBrokenPolygon.png file.
    5. See attached SVG file (accomack_county.txt, please change the extension to zip)

  9. Illustrator v 25.3.1 on Mac Big Sur 11.4 Drag n drop multiple photos not dropping

    Adobe support support recommended I post here. When dragging multiple images from Photos, it grabs all images, but only drops 1 image. Copy and paste doesn't work either.

  10. レイヤー名が入力しづらい

    Mac mini (M1, 2020)
    Bigsur11.4
    Illustrator25.3.1

    日本語の変換周りの問題かと思うのですが、レイヤー名が入力しづらいです。Photoshopでは問題がないので、Illustrator固有の問題か、私の環境がIllustrator上でのみおかしいのかと思います。

    レイヤー名を変更しようとする時、
    １・バックスペースで消去しようとすると文字が確定してしまう
    ２・Tagキーで変換候補を選択しようとすると文字が確定してしまう

    伝わるかどうか不安ですが、動画を添付します。
    ずっと困っているので解決したいです。

    日本語の macOS のシステム環境設定＞キーボード＞入力ソースの「推測候補表示」が有効時に表示される変換候補ポップアップリストは、「Tabキーで予測された単語を選択」できる仕様です。

    しかし、Illustrator の場合、 Tabキーでは変換候補リスト項目の移動はされずに、パネルやダイアログ UI 上の次の項目に移動され、変換されていない文字が確定入力されしまうことを確認いたしました。

    追跡調査を行っております。

  11. Non-proper alignments

    This has been an ongoing issue since CS first began. Never had a problem with the old 10 or lower. If you grab a node from an object and move it say, to latch on to nearest node or object, it almost always picks some random and sometimes distant node or object, including itself (shown here). Should it not latch to nearest node? In order to properly latch, you have to pull out a guideline and place it where you want it to go, in order for it to recognize where to latch.

  12. Can't escape from Isolation mode

    I have isolated a Transparency Mask (a gradient), but Ai doesn't show a way to get back to the top hierarchy. Escape key also doesn't work.

  13. GPU & Clipping Masks

    Since the v25.2 update, AI is having trouble showing backgrounds with clipping paths and displays as all white. When I turn off GPU acceleration, the graphic returns.

    Also, when I PDF the file or open in the previous version, 25.1 or 24.3, everything displays properly.

    Running macOS 10.14.6 on a late 2014 Retina iMac.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.3.0 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  17. Compound Path Visibility Crash

    Hey y’all. When I have a hidden compound path in a layer and I try to make the path visible again, the app the freezes. This is a bit frustrating and not my art that I created is at a halt due to this bug.

  18. AI 2020 V.24 Unknown Error while saving in AI "when a PDF joboption file is present in the adobe PDF preferences folder"

    Just updated to V.24.
    There is a critical bug while saving on an external hard drive or a network storage. The saving process ends with a generic error and the file just DISAPPEAR from the server.

    I'm on MacOS 10.14.6

    Thanks for reporting the issue .
    We have fixed the bug which was orignally reported but it seems some users are still facing the issue.

    We are not able to reproduce this issue in house now ,Kindly provide following info to nail down this issue:

    1)Kindly provide some video , Test file(Via File→Package) & some steps with which you are facing issue and share with us at ShareWithAI@adobe.com .

    2)Please try the below mentioned workaround and let us know if that helps:

    If you do not use custom Adobe PDF presets/joboptions or not heard of it then follow the below steps
    1. Navigate to user presets folder
    Win: appdata\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings
    2. Rename the folder to “Settings old” and create a new empty folder “Settings” in the same place
    3. Launch Illustrator and check if you can save the document

    When I save, even a blank document, it takes Illustrator a lot longer than the previous version to save.

  20. Black Showing Up in AI Preview

    I'm working on macOS Big Sur 11.4
    3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5
    32 GB 1866 MHz DDR3
    AMD FirePro D500 3 GB

    I'm creating packaging dielines, and the white areas on my dielines show up as black in the AI preview and in the Mac preview (the colors appear normal in Adobe Acrobat). The printer is printing the wrong version with the black in place of white, and I don't know how to fix the file for the printer.
