  1. ExportOptionsPNG24.artBoardClipping broken in 2020

    ExportOptionsPNG24.artBoardClipping (set to false)

    In 2019 (23.1), PNGs exported by javascript are trimmed to the visible bounds of the object as expected when false. When true, they're the size of the artboard.

    In 2020 (24.3), the same script always produces PNGs the size of the artboard whatever artBoardClipping is set to.

    Script run via Illustrator (File/Scripts) as well as testing in ETSK 4.0.0.1

    It's a dealbreaker for version 24. We can't upgrade as a team unless this is fixed.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.3.1 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  2. Auto spell check occasionally not working

    I turn on the auto spell check always. However I still found out some typo mistake weren't underlined. I can still spot the spelling mistake by clicked into spell check function, but I cannot see the auto spell check is functioning well all the time.

  3. Black png

    my png transparent images are showing up as total black images after export . They show fine for a few seconds and in the viewer window but the png it self is totally black. Works sometimes and others not I would say 2 out of 25 show up black.

  4. Cambio de color en fuentes de color.

    Diseñe una tipografía de color con Fontself con una paleta especifica y al instalarla en Illustrator no respeta los colores establecidos, solo cuando se agranda o se achica la caja de texto se pueden ver los colores reales, pero al soltar la caja como que los desatura y quedan así. Adjunto un video para que se entienda mejor. ¿Hay algún tipo de solución? Desde ya muchas gracias!

  5. "View using GPU" greyed out since Illustrator 2021

    Since we have updated to Illustrator 2021, on one of our machines (Mac mini 2018) "View unsing GPU" (CMD+E) is greyed out and can’t be activated. GPU IS activated in the Illustrator Preferences! Using Illustrator 2020, this function works as usual.

    An other glitch, that we noticed on both of our machines (the 2018 mini and a 2019 iMac): When opening a document in Illustrator 2021, the window turns black for a moment until the document is shown. This does not really cause any problems, it is just strange and does not occure with Illustrator 2020.

  6. Font appears as boxes

    Windows 10 Home Edition
    Illustrator 2021

    I receive machine layouts created in AutoCad & saved as PDF. When i open them in Illustrator for corrections font appears as boxes. I have been managing so far by opening the PDF in CS3 & resaving.

  7. Creation and modified date become the same when saved on Illustrator files 2020 (Mac only)

    The creation date on illustrator files changes when the file is modified — I need to see creation date for accurate search and timings

  8. Save for web is locked at 1585px. I can resize it lower, but I can not get larger image. Original file size is 2800px. Howto get rid ofthis?

  9. Please stop Illustrator coming to the foreground after exporting

    After exporting to screens, which may take several seconds, I usually switch to the the application that receives the exported files and I continue working there.
    Annoyingly, after finishing exporting the files, Illustrator pushes its way back to the foreground so that I have to switch back to the other app I was working on.
    Can you stop this from happening please and leave Illustrator in the background after it has finished?

  10. 保存時のエラー

    保存をする時、画面が出きっていない状態で次の動作を押すと必ずエラ〜メッセージが出る。例えば別名保存（コマンド+シフト+S）を実行し、まだ画面に保存先などの指名画面が出ていないうちに、デスクトップ（コマンドD）を押すとエラーになる。

    もう一つ
    保存形式を選んだ後に保存先のフォルダを選ぼうとするとそのフォルダ名が保存ファイル名に勝手になってしまう。

  11. The white-filled circle arrowhead has some very strange geometry.

    The white-filled circle arrowhead in Support Files/Resources/en_us/Arrowheads.ai has two doubled points in the black circle. This results in unexpected imagery when a path is given this arrowhead, expanded, and has further effects applied.

    Screenshots: outline view, and outline view with half of each point pair selected and moved down 1pt.

    This was discovered in 25.3.1 but I bet it's been lurking there long enough that it predates your current source control tree. :)

  12. Anchor Points and Handles Missing

    When selecting the outline, anchor points (and their handles) seem to disappear, making it near impossible to create the desired curve. It was working fine the other day. I am using version 25.0.1 on a Mac. I have tried this in both OS 10.15.7 and OS 11.2, with the same results. Image below is when outline is selected with Direct Selection Tool (Usually anchor points and handles are visible here)

  13. [M1 Mac Mini] Area outside artboard flickers when mouse is moving

    This is a weird one, because everything works just fine when you first launch the software. However once your computer goes to sleep and log back in, the area outside the outboard within your file window flickers as you move your mouse around.

    A workaround is to quit Illustrator and start it back up.

    I'm running Adobe Illustrator 25.2 on my Mac Mini M1 with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD.

  14. Second line of type (point and area) is picking up the style of the first line when pasting plain text

    New to 25.3.1 update, MacOS 11.4. When there are two lines in a point or area type object separated by a return, selecting the entire second line (formatted differently from the first line) and pasting in plain text (copied from a Finder filename) is now picking up the formatting from the first line instead of retaining the formatting from the existing line, as if there were an invisible return character from the first line, or as if it were a continuation of the first line. This is contrary to AI behavior since forever.

  15. Color changes when saving as .eps

    Saving out a pattern with a purple background as .eps turns out as black when previewing the file on the computer or in pdf-reader and when opened on other computers. Opening the file back into illustrator still shows everything as purple.

    MacOS BigSur 11.4
    illustrator 25.2.3

    Right side show as the colors are perceived in illustrator, left side is what other software see when opening the file.

  16. Can't open my most recent aic file

    Using windows 10. I created the file on v25.0 of illustrator and yesterday updated to v25.01 and the file continued to work fine and my work was saved.

    Today I am unable to open that one file from my cloud documents. On the illustrator home page if I click on the file preview nothing happens, whereas with every other document clicking on the preview opens the document. I have tried opening it from my cloud storage webpage but it just opens the home page of the desktop app. It also says there's an error when I try to download the…

  17. Program beta response to clicking/deleting... lagging

    Simple clicking to deactivate a tool, or deleting objects now have a distinct delay. Something has changed in the Illustrator Beta this week that looses track of what is highlighted.

  18. Artwork flashing/glitching while dragging text

    Artwork on different layers is flashing while dragging text. See attached video.
    -Windows 10 Pro 64-bit build 19043
    -Intel i5-8600, NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB
    -Illustrator 25.4.1 (64-bit)

    The error can be replicated by dragging the text at the bottom of the artboard. Zooming in/out seems to redraw everything properly.

  20. Selected UI field not readable

    The existing contents of all UI fields go blank/white when they are double/triple clicked to manually enter a value.

    I would expect the existing value to be highlighted/selected in grey so that they're legible.
