Object edge highlight color reverts to black while moving objects.
Ever since the illustrator 2026 update, when I move objects the highlight color changes to black like in the attached video. I'm currently running 30.3 and it seems like it has only become more and more prevalent. Obviously this isn't great when you're working against a darker color in the background. Is this a feature that I've missed a checkbox to turn off or is this a glitch? For the techy peeps I'm running a MacBook pro Intel (2017 I think) and I'm on Tahoe 26.3.1.

プレビュー用のPDFの文字が化けました
macOS Sequoia 15.6.1
Adobe Illustrator v29.7.1
他社で作成されたCentury Gothic Regular が使われているIllustratorドキュメント（作成バージョンは29.7）を開いて修正して保存した。
このデータはInDesignドキュメントにリンク配置されていた。
InDesignドキュメントの表示の、Century Gothicの数字が異なる数字になっていた。
1→3、0→2 のように。
修正した環境にはCentury Gothicがインストールされていない。Font Bookに表示されない。
が、Illustratorはフォントエラーを表示することなく、開いた。
PDFを書き出すと、正常に表示される。
プレビューのPDFのみ化けている。
その後、調べてみると、Illustrator内では「/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/FontServices.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Fonts/ApplicationSupport/CenturyGothic.ttc」が使用されていることがわかった。
また、Illustrator v28.7.9ではプレビューのPDFが正常に表示された。
さらに、「/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/FontServices.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Fonts/ApplicationSupport/CenturyGothic.ttc」を適当なFontsフォルダにインストールすると、Illustrator v29.7.1でもプレビューのPDFが正常に表示された。
コミュニティの記述にv29.2.1までダウンバージョンすると様々なバグが回避できるとあったので、ダウンバージョンしてみたが、やはり化ける。
v29.0までダウンバージョンしてみたが、全て化けた。
再現方法としては、
1. Century Gothicをライブラリ/Fonts フォルダに入れる
2. Illustratorでドキュメントを新規作成
3. 数字を入力
4. 書体をCentury Gothic Regularにする
5. 保存して閉じる
6. Century Gothicをライブラリ/Fonts フォルダから外す
7. 5.のドキュメントを開く
8. 修正して保存（または別名保存）
以上を、各バージョンのIllustratorで実行。
InDesignに貼り付けるまでもなく、Finderのプレビューで確認できる。9 votes修正は最新の30.3一般リリースに反映されています。アップデート後、問題が解消されているか確認し、引き続き問題が発生する場合はご報告ください。
開発チームによると、macOS版Illustratorのフォント処理方法を変更し、一貫性を向上させ、サポートされていないシステムリソースへの依存度を低減したとのことです。その結果、Appleのガイドラインに従い、Illustrator 30.3以降ではシステムフォントが使用できなくなります。
The fix has been pushed into the latest 30.3 general release. Please update, check, and comment back if it still happens.
According to the team, they changed font handling in Illustrator on macOS for better consistency and reduced reliance on unsupported system resources. As a result, system fonts won’t be accessible in Illustrator 30.3 and later, according to the Apple’s guidelines.

Pressing Tab in Color panel glitches
When adding a color to a object via the Color panel, normally you could use tab to move to the next field in the CMYK color options. Now and for the past few versions released it glitches any time you use Tab.
To get it to work you now have to type in the number for C, click enter then click in the M, Enter/click Enter and so on, which is time consuming. If you don't do it this way it glitches after hitting.

Unknown Error when saving
Windows - Adobe Illustrator 2026
When saving files for a proof - Press Quality, no editing, password, low resolution printing, no changes, no enabling copying of text - this error comes up on the first attempt every time.
If I save it a second time, this error doesn't happen. I wasn't receiving this issue until I updated to 30.2.1, but it was rare. Now that I've updated to 30.3 it became every time I saved a new file for the first time. As much as I want the turntable feature, I'm going to have to use 30.1 again until the…

Bug - Graduated stroke colors automatically changed!
A graduated stroke color was in a saved file applied to a brush stroke. I had not been in the file for several months. The preview appeared full color, but when I opened the file, it was like the opacity of the colors had been turned down, except they hadn't been! Inside the file, it appears faint. But the stroke does not indicate the opacity has been reduced. It is so confusing since the file has not been opened for over two months.
Don't know if it is a gradient or brush stroke issue or a compatibility issue.

Illustrator insanely not optimized
It's unbelievable that I have a 2025 recent PC, AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D, 64Gb RAM DDR5 6200MHz, RTX 5070 Ti, M2 gen5 11500m/s and Illustrator 2026 is super slow, with a lot of lag when zooming in and out, the tools behavior also super slow. Honestly, the worst version so far.

Blending modes inside groups does not work
When an object is part of a group nothing from the transparency settings is working. Selected object in the screenshot is set to Multiply and it appears as Normal.

Objects with Perceptual Gradients applied (and no Dither) gets rasterized fully on PDF export, instead of becoming clipped rasters
It still rasterizes the whole object, rather than converting it to a clipped bitmap (unless you also enable Dither though).

Font drop down list won't allow font selection.

Adobe Illustrator 2026 version 30My font drop-down list allows me to preview fonts, but not select them. If I preview and click a new font to select it, the type window closes and my select text reverts to the original font. I've tried using the text tool and the selection tool - same problem. To change a font, I must type the ENTIRE NAME in the font window and hit return. Very time consuming. :(

Ai won’t change the fill of an object when using Shape Builder exactly according to rules
A minor quirk of the Shape Builder.

Windows Explorer freezes when Saving As PDF
- Fresh install of Windows 10 Pro. Fully up-to date (as of Feb. 27, 2026). DXdiag attached.
- Illustrator 30.2.1 (64-bit) ** Only Illustrator and Photoshop installed (via Creative Cloud application)
- Open AI file
- Save as.. PDF
- Choose a PDF option, click Save
- Click Windows Start Menu icon (or any other icon on the task bar) - Windows task bar (explorer.exe) will be unresponsive
- To remedy, Ctrl-Alt-Del and open Task Manager -> Right-click Windows Explorer -> Restart

Swatches don’t display names on hover
Please restore the display of color names when hovering over a color swatch in the palette.

Area type centering option not working, text jumps to top of frame
When creating text frame with area type (it is not threaded nor multiple columns) set to center vertically, the text jumps to the top and will not center align at all. This is a function I have used in 2025 with no issues and now it will not work at all in 2026.

Illustrator 2026 adds a previously selected object to a newly selected one when moving the new one

Illustrator 30.0Just selecting and moving basic objects is not functioning correctly. Was this tested at all? I've restarted the app, I've restarted my machine. It's just buggy AF. I've had to revert to previous version just to get a simple chart done.

Illustrator 29.8.2 saved .ai-file containing outdated pdf-version
We have a user that several times has encountered a serious bug with saving documents. Currently on version 29.8.2 (the latest available for us in the CC desktop app as of today). Windows 11.
Attached is an AI file showing the bug. Try opening it in e.g. Photoshop and Illustrator. You get very different versions.
It is a "PDF compatible file" saved from Illustrator, so it contains a PDF version for other apps to use, but this embedded PDF version shows an older version of the illustrator file (so opening it in Illustrator looks fine, but when using it in…

Strokes inside symbols don't show correctly when exported as a png
Here's a problem that I've noticed a number of times. It seems to happen intermittently and the really annoying thing is that it doesn't show up in Illustrator, only in exported png images.
Strokes within symbols don't always display correctly when they are exported as a png. It seems to happen when the symbol is rotated or scaled. It doesn't always happen. I can't work out what specifically makes this happen or not happen. It's only a problem on static symbols rather than dynamic symbols. Static symbols are generally better suited to my workflow.

All Text Disappeared!
I saved my file as .aic but the next time I opened it all the text layers disappeared! Everytime I open the file it automatically creates a recovered version also, but still no text. I also cannot download the version from cloud that shows the last version I made with all the text still visible.

Renaming an artboard in Artboards panel scrolls to have the item on top
The way it works in the newest update is infuriating.
In the newest update, when I change the name of an artboard in the Artboards panel, the panel automatically scrolls to have that item at the top. I keep losing my place in the Artboards panel and I can't keep track of what I'm doing. I don't see a benefit of the list jumping around all the time.
