Illustrator 29.7.1 changes units to points and resets other values after changing Keyboard Increment value when Search field has text in it
Another paradox is that version 29.7.1 of Illustrator constantly changes the units from px to points after entering an new value in keyboard increment. Does it happen to anybody else?

Saving AI to EPS, different outcome when opened in photoshop
Sonoma 14.8.7
Illustrator 30.6
I saved a multi spread AI document as single pdf files. Each spread contains one specific number.
I open one eps-file in illustrator the expected number (50) appears.
I open the same eps-file in photoshop a different number appears.

リンク切れしたEPSを「ファイルを開く際に置き換え」すると、保存後の再オープンで画像が一枚画像化される
発生環境
OS：macOS
Illustrator：30.6
ファイル形式：AI
リンク画像：EPS
症状
Illustratorファイルを開く際、リンクしていたEPS画像が見つからない場合に表示される「リンクされたファイルが見つかりません」等のダイアログで、「置き換え」から別のEPS画像を指定すると、その場では正常に編集できます。
そのままAIファイルを保存してIllustratorを終了し、同じファイルを再度開くと、画像が正常なリンク画像として扱われず、ファイル全体が一枚の画像のような状態になってしまいます。
最初に開いたときは、Illustratorの通常の編集機能が使用でき、保存も正常に完了するため、保存直後には異常が分かりません。再度ファイルを開いたときに初めて問題が確認できます。
再現手順
AIファイルにEPS画像をリンク配置する。
AIファイルを保存する。
リンクしているEPSファイルを移動または名前変更し、リンク切れの状態にする。
IllustratorでAIファイルを開く。
リンク切れのEPSについて表示される「置き換え」で、新しいEPS画像を指定する。
Illustrator上では正常に表示され、通常どおり編集できることを確認する。
AIファイルを保存する。
Illustratorを終了する。
同じAIファイルを再度開く。
画像が一枚画像化されたような状態になり、正常なIllustratorデータとして扱えなくなる。
正常に動作するケース
以下の場合には、この問題は発生しません。
Illustratorを開く際に「置き換え」を選択せず、「無視」してファイルを開く。
ファイルを開いた後、リンクパネルからEPSを置き換える。
元のEPSをそのままリンクした状態で保存・再オープンする。
EPSを削除し、新しい画像を「新規配置」する。
EPSをTIFFに変換してリンク配置する。
PSD画像を、ファイルを開く際の「置き換え」で指定する。
新規作成したAIファイルに画像・背景・文字を配置し、EPS 1個を開く際に置き換える。
複数のEPSで再現
特定のEPSファイルだけの問題ではありません。
複数の異なるEPSファイルについて同じ操作を行うと、同様の問題が発生しました。
また、複数の画像を配置したAIファイルでは、複数のEPSを開く際に「置き換え」で指定した場合にも問題が発生しました。
一方で、新規作成した単純なAIファイルにEPSを1個だけ配置した場合には再現しないケースもありました。
別のIllustrator環境でも再現
この問題が使用しているMac固有の問題ではないことを確認するため、別の環境でも検証しました。
別のユーザーの環境：
Illustrator 30.2.1
同じように、AIファイルを開く際にリンク切れしたEPSを「置き換え」で指定すると、保存時に
「保存を試みましたが失敗しました」
というエラーが表示され、保存できませんでした。
さらに、別のEPSファイルでも同様の保存エラーが発生しました。
また、以前使用していたIllustrator 2025でも、同様の操作で「保存を試みましたが失敗しました」というエラーが発生していました。
重要な点
以上の検証から、以下の可能性は低いと考えています。
特定のEPSファイルの破損
特定のAIファイルだけの破損
古いバージョンで作成された台紙だけの問題
使用しているMac固有の問題
特に、異なるEPSファイル、異なるAIファイル、異なるIllustratorバージョン、別のMac環境でも同様の現象が確認されています。
現時点では、
「リンク切れしたEPSを、AIファイルを開く際のダイアログから『置き換え』で再リンクする処理」に関連したIllustratorの不具合
ではないかと考えています。
なお、ファイルを開いた後にリンクパネルから同じEPSを置き換える方法では正常に動作します。

Action shortcuts lost when saving, deleting existing, and adding back to action panel.
MACOS Tahoe 26.5.2, Illustrator 30.6
I deleted my personal action set from the actions panel, and when I re-imported them the (extensive) set of shortcuts were missing. No shortcuts were added. Using version history I re-added a saved set from a few days ago, and it only brought in some of the shortcuts that were saved with the set at the time. I frequently save/delete/add my actions because they change based upon the job at hand and I run out of F keys. I have never had an issue with lost shortcuts until today.

Pressing Tab in Color panel glitches
When adding a color to a object via the Color panel, normally you could use tab to move to the next field in the CMYK color options. Now and for the past few versions released it glitches any time you use Tab.
To get it to work you now have to type in the number for C, click enter then click in the M, Enter/click Enter and so on, which is time consuming. If you don't do it this way it glitches after hitting.

30.2.1にて前面へペーストが二重になるバグが時々でます。
イラレを再起動や画面の切り替えで治ったり治らなかったり。
前のバージョンではならず、別の初期化済みMacでも発生します。mac mini M4

Overlapping linearly opposing gradients (solid-to-transparent, of the same color) doesn’t produce a solid color
One oddity, which happens both in RGB and CMYK is that there is always some visibility of the background with two overlapping, linearly opposing gradients (black to white and white to black).
RGB attached for simplicity.
They should actually appear as uniform. Also the color at the 50% distance is not even a tint.2 votes -
Gradient across stroke, inside opacity mask is thresholded for half the width of the stroke
Applying a black-to-white gradient across a stroke inside an opacity mask results in a portion of the opacity mask not being applied, corresponding to half the width of the stroke, almost as if it is clipped by the stroke. If the path is subsequently outlined, which creates a mesh, the behavior is the same. If the object is a filled bezier curve, the behavior is normal with the shape masked as expected.

Visual glitch in modified text when using the “Transform” tool
When using the “Transform” effect on complex files, the visual display of the actual text does not update. The visual display is not up to date, whereas in the source code (CMD+Y) it is. To update the text visually, you must uncheck the “Transformation” option in the Appearance window, then check it again to force the visual update.
As shown in the attached files, the black-and-white one shows the wired version (with the correct text), and the other shows the standard view (with the text that hasn't been updated)

3D and Materials is very buggy in Illustrator 30.7
I had no problems using this Effect up until recently, the update from 30.2.1 to 30.7 didn't solve it.
Numbers and cursors are glitchy: text fields cannot be used to input a value in the Y and Z rotation of the 3D Effects window.
3D and Materials applied to text makes the text clip out and loses its outer edges when using Ray Tracing (reproduced with different fonts, always the same issue).
Doesn't make a difference if the text has been outlined or not.
I believe that somehow the Perspective is turned on and stretches the letters or adds spacing…

キャンセルの位置 / Cancel button in Save dialog changed position in 30.5.1
キャンセル/保存しない/保存のダイヤログの位置が30.5.1より入れ替わっている。
30.5.1以前は保存しない/キャンセル/保存だったような気がするのですが

Bounding box center markers disappear when dragging a guide.
I'm trying to position a guide over the center of a vector object. However when I grab the guide from the ruler, the bounding box center markers disappear making the task impossible. This wasn't always the case but I don't know when it changed. The bounding box stays intact but the horizontal and vertical center boxes disappear when I pick up the guide.

Script selection/appearance modification causes error 8702
I am using a script to change the appearance of an object (fill color of an ellipse shape). Since there is no way to access appearance properties directly (which would be lovely to get someday), I am using a known workaround with defaultFillColor on the selected document.
app.activeDocument.selection = [item.obj]; app.activeDocument.defaultFillColor = item.newCol;Unfortunately, the selection seems to leave Illustrator in a weird state, and any further script command (e.g. next iteration of the loop) fails with "Error 8702: there is no active document."
This sometimes goes away if I use CPU instead of GPU preview, though not reliably. And…

プリセットのB6サイズについて
IllustratorのプリセットのB6サイズは125 mm×176 mmですが、日本の規格はB6サイズ182mm×128mmです。

Freeform Gradients in cloud files become invisible
The Gradients function has a bug with files uploaded to the cloud. It looks like an empty object.
I had to create a new local file to look if the problem was the gradient tool or just with the cloud files, and there is when I realized that the Gradient tool was working well. What I had to do is to copy the "empty" rectangle to see if I can copy the color values in the local file with the Eyedropper Tool and then copy the local file rectangle to the cloud one. But to avoid that to happened again…2 votes -
Keeps not showing parts of my artwork.
I open a file, everything is fine, i start moving things around and suddenly parts of the artwork just disappear or they loose colour, when you move the cursor over it it shows that the shape is there but will not allow you to colour it move it or do anything with it. I thought it might have been a one-time thing, but it's happened for the past 3 days in a row on several different files.

Retype not very accurate
Retype is not very accurate yet. It misses details in characters. Please add some more user guidance possibilities. E.g. focus on specific characters to force Retype to look twice.

グラデーション90度で印刷時に天地が逆転する
A4でアートボードを２つ、両面デザインで作成。
１つのアートボードに、背景色として長方形を設置。グラデーションで色を塗り、角度を90度に設定。
すると、印刷時に天地がそのアートボードだけ逆転します。グラデーションの角度を０度や180度にすると正常の天地で印刷されます。グラデーションではなく単色にしても正常に印刷されます。グラデーション（どの色配置でも）にして、かつ90度設定にすると、天地が逆転します。PDF出力する場合、見た目は正常ですが印刷すると天地が反転されてしまい、同じです。
まったく新しいドキュメントで作成して試しても再現されました。
プリンターとの相性の問題、プリンター側の問題もあるかと思いますが、イラストレーター上での操作によって発生したりしなかったりするので、念のためご報告でした。2 votes
