1. Paragraph Styles: Where has Paragaph Direction for Middle Eastern Version gone? (AI ME 2024)

   1. Mac OSX Monterey 12.6.8 (21G725)
      Mac Pro (Late 2013)

   2. Illustrator 2024 Middle Eastern Version (27.9)

   3. Problem is on Paragraph Style:
      While under General on the left column I can see under "Indents and Spacing" that my Paragraph Direction is set to "Right to Left", I can't find this definition where is should be, on the left column under "Indents and Spacing". It is missing.

   4. Paragraph Direction should appear under "Indents and Spacing" on the Paragraph Style options.

3. Screen flashing while tool tips is on and hoovering over docked toolbar

   While using the advanced toolbar and the 'show tool tips' feature, the screen flashes/glitches very fast and violently. I turned off the tool tips and the glitch stops. The tool tips feature is helpful but this glitch makes it useless/painful.

4. Pop-ups won't close in magnified view setting.

   When I open the text tool, this dialogue box (bottom right corner) opens. I think it's supposed to be one of those helpful guides that shows up after an update, but for me, it shows up, doesn't go away, is fixed to the bottom right corner of my screen, and obstructs my view. I have absolutely no way to close it; I've tried. The [x] button, I believe, floats off the corner of the screen. I can't drag it; it's fixed. It's just stuck there and stays there, all huge and in the way.

   I've had this issue with other dialogue pop-ups before. I don't remember which ones; I'm just getting irritated. If I had to take a guess, I would reckon it has something to do with my scaled UI preference.

   The only thing that has worked for me is closing the file and pulling it back up, but it's driving me absolutely insane. I'm running Illustrator 2024, Version 28.3 on a Windows 11 OS.

   Please help. I'm going crazy.

5. Plugin menu items in Select menu appear above saved selections without a divider

   Plugins can add their own menu commands in different menus.
   Specifically in Select menu, they get treated weirdly.

   Normally, without any plugins installed, the bottom of Select menu looks fine, like this:
   Save Selection...
   Edit Selection...
   Update Selection ← this is a new command added recently
   <end of menu>

   When at least one saved selection is added, Ai adds a horizontal separator and list saved selection under it:
   Save Selection...
   Edit Selection...
   Update Selection
   ————————————————
   My Amazing Selection
   <end of menu>

   Again, descent.
   But with plugins onboard it looks like the attached image.
   All plugin items are placed under the separator, above the saved presets (and if no selections are saved, there is no separator even).

   Not OK, and it always bugged me.

   The order I think makes more sense is this:
   Save Selection...
   Edit Selection...
   Update Selection
   ————————————————
   My Amazing Selection
   ————————————————
   Plugin items
   <end of menu>

   It makes the saved selections closer to their corresponding commands, and separates them from plugin items. Surely, when no selections are saved, the separator still should be there, to separate plugin ones from native commands.

   The developer told me they add the menu commands to the kSelectMenuExternalGroup, 'as prescribed by Adobe'.
   Within that menu group (not alphabetized), the menu items are added in whatever order the plugins are loaded. The developer has no control over where Illustrator chooses to add its saved selections and possibly its separator.

   Please address this.

6. Registration point and boundaries of a certain symbol jump when a document is opened

   1. Open the attached document (and review the steps from the GIF)
   2. Notice the second symbol's boundaries are giant (although the registration point is displayed within the artboard), and the Symbols panel seemingly shows nothing in its thumb
   3. Double click the second symbol to edit it
   4. The symbol opens and jumps into the middle of its giant boundaries, and the registration point moves as well
   5. Exit the mode
   6. The symbol is now displayed in its intended place, has normal boundaries, has the registration point in the same place, has a normal thumb...
   7. ...but if you make other changes in a doc, save and reopen it — you’d get the the same exact problem as before.

   The appearance of the document is broken, and exporting it give wrong results. This is a very dangerous problem and leads to errors and money loss.

8. Can't make a blend out of two expanded letter

   I cannot MAKE the blend.... no matter what I try it is not working.
   I have expanded both letters and expanded the appearance of the path between them with no avail... Can someone please help me this is driving me bananas

9. Embedding linked EPS files in an over-sized artboard cause them to shrink to 10% and moves

   When using an over-sized artboard, when I embed a linked .EPS - the .eps is scaled down to 10% of the original size AND it is moved to a seemingly random location on the artboard. This only happens with .EPS files. .AI and bitmap files are fine - they stay in the correct location and correct size.

10. フォントのアウトラインを取ると中が塗りつぶされる

    あるフォント（DFP中太丸ゴシック）の「管理部　部長」をアウトライン化すると「部」の文字の一部が塗りつぶされる。添付参照。
    他のフォントや文字では発生しない（自分が調べた限りです）
    現象はwindows版のイラレでのみおこり、同じファイルをMacのイラレで開いても起こりません。

    win10/イラストレーター28.5

    ※イラレCS2でも起きませんでした

11. Eyedropper DOES NOT CONSIDER COLOR EXCLUSION for TEXTS MULTICOLOR

    Eyedropper tool between two text boxes with mixed color letters. How to copy ONLY text attributes leaving the colors unchanged.
    Even by deselecting fill color and stroke color in the eyedropper detection and eyedropper application boxes, the color of the destination text becomes unique depending on which is pressed as the source and the letters do not remain colored differently.
    Please resolve!

12. Bug - Blank Workspace

    When I open an AI file there seems to be a 80/20 chance that it will not display properly. As the file is opening I can see everything but the moment it's fully loaded the workspace goes completely blank (gray without an artboard). I can still see toolbars and can move around the workspace. I can even select all and delete unseen assets but I can't draw new ones.

    I have to close and reopen the file multiple times until it happens to show up. I've already tried:
    • Resetting Preferences
    • Uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator
    • Renaming the UXP/other folders

    Machine Details:
    • Windows 11 Pro
    • Lenovo Thinkstation P3
    • GPU: RTX A2000 12GB
    • NVIDIA 535.98

13. Single line text temporarily breaks to two lines when being moved or adjusted

    This issue has been discussed in the Adobe Community forums, and other people have been able to replicate it.

    This is the current 28.1 version of Illustrator as of Dec. 21st 2023.

    If I have text that is close to the edge of the text box, and I try to make kerning between two characters tighter/smaller, Illustrator temporarily shows the text breaking into two lines, as if it won't fit on one, before readjusting to one line again. It's making it very difficult to fine-tune kerning, as I can't see the progress I'm making. The kerning information in the Character palette does reflect the changes being made.

    Steps taken: use keyboard keys to tighten kerning between two letters, when the text is close to the edges of its containing text box, also while moving said text box using keyboard arrow keys

    Expected result: Kerning visible tightens, text box moves as-is
    Actual result: The single line of text temporarily breaks into a two-line format while performing the action, then returns to single line

    I've also noticed this happens when the text box is selected and being moved via the arrow keys. A community expert has said it can happen clicking the font family in the character tools and other items that shouldn't affect them.

    Things that have not solved it:
    - Resetting preferences
    - Changing kerning from Auto to Optical, etc.
    - Changing Paragraph options from Adobe Single-Line Composer to Adobe Every-Line Composer, or vice versa (this can temporarily solve it for a few hours, then doesn't work again)

15. Windows 11 enhance pointer precision

    If Windows 11 mouse setting "enhance pointer precision" is off, then Smart Guides and Snapping will not work in Adobe Illustrator v28.
    Turning it back on will "fix" the Smart Guides/Snapping, but it'd be nice if we could turn this off and still have Illustrator do what Illustrator should do.

17. Outline Mode Breaks display when toggling in and out of it.

    I found that when I go into outline mode and then toggle the layers off of it it breaks my display a little bit. It fixes itself if I just undo the toggling and then Cmd Y to turn it off that way but it'd be nice not having to do that.

18. Enter while typing does not get recorded in history as an Undo step

    When I type a text in Illustrator and hit Enter to make a paragraph break, it does not get recorded into the history as an operation I can undo. This means all typed paragraphs get clumped in history together and get undone as a whole.

    This is not how many other apps do, including InDesign and Word.

    Some apps also consider line breaks as an interruption of flow, which would have been handy too.

    It is quite similar to this report:

    Expected to be fixed in the latest Beta Build 30.5.0.64, now availibale in CCD.

    Please try to update and see if this is really fixed.

19. Envelope Distort, Layers, and Illustrator Performance Bug

    I've recently come across a bug with the envelope distortion tool. The bug happens when I use the Make with Warp effect on text. When this is applied, all the layers and sub-layers get frozen with no ability to see the thumbnail preview or to open or close any of the layers. This also affects the ability to hide or preview any layer, lock or unlock, and/or select anything in the layers.
    This also causes Illustrator to run very high ram while causing unresponsiveness and difficulty in processing and sometimes the inability to save files.

    So far, the work-a-rounds that I have found are to either expand the appearance of the effect or to go into the effect and change the font, either to a new one or re-select the original font.

    There seems to be a bug with a font selected and the envelope distortion effect that causes the layers and the program to glitch, brick, and become immensely slow at processing.

    I'm attaching a file that has this error saved in it.
    When typing this, I am working on a Windows PC that is up-to-date and running the latest up-to-date version of Illustrator.

    As per the comment from the developer of the LTTR/INK plugin, this issue is going to be fixed in the upcoming update of the tool.

    Não é possível que uma versão nova tenha um retrocesso e fique limitada em algo tão básico como modificar os traçados, falei com o suporte e me confirmaram que realmente não tem mais, não posso modificar o traçado básico para ter pontas ou ser intermitente ou ficar interno, centrado ou externo à forma... que retrocesso é esse?
