1. [ExtendScript] Incorrect paragraph count when linefeeds are used.

3. export

   hi all,
   when i dragNdrop a vector group in the window "export files", illustrator add big space at the top and at the right of the vector group. On hard drive, i obtain a big picture with a lot of space.
   After several tests, the window "export for files" exports correctly artboards but no files !!??
   I use in this picture, deform texte with a vector behind.
   i install the last version of illustrator.
   i work on OSX Monterey.

4. Resaving a file that is being currently saved makes it loose changes

   Steps: Save and Save As

   While the file is processing the save, if you save a copy or with another name, the changes made in that initial save are completely lost (in some update this problem appeared, in the past it was not like that).

   Illustrator 25.4.8

5. EPS color bug

   Adobe illustrator keeps changing the colors of .eps images that I link. Both profiles are set to RGB so that should not be a problem.

6. previewing incorrectly

7. Still unable to handle screen magnification in Windows

   When opening Illustrator 2023 on my 4K monitor with a 1080p monitor also attached, in Windows 11, most of the opening dialog is scaled way off the screen. There is no way to drag the window far enough up to get to the Cancel and Close buttons making it virtually impossible to start a new document. This is another example of how poorly illustrator deals with screen magnification and high resolution monitors. Trying to open the window on my 1080p monitor is significantly worse.

8. Problem with mouse wheel when switching applications with ALT+TAB Windows

   When switching from Illustrator to another application with the key combination ALT+TAB, using the mouse wheel (e.g.: zoom) no longer works correctly. The application must first be minimized and then maximized again for the Maurad to function normally again.

9. Slow opening of Illustrator.

   I have had the following problem for a few years now (therefore different versions of Illustrator, let's say from 2020-2023).

   When I start Illustrator, opening the first (I specify the first) document that is an Empty table or an already existing document that Ai takes an exaggerated amount of time! Then, after this step, the other documents are opened in normal times.
   This happens to me from different versions of the software, and it also happens if I close the software and restart it to open a document, or if I start Ai after restarting my computer.

   the hardware is the same. It's not brand new but it's not slow either.
   windows 10 x64, i7 4.0 ghz serie 4000, 32gb RAM and ultra-fast M.2 hard drive.

   Help me.

10. text deleted and exporting empty

    This happened some time ago but this time I need and explanation from Adobe. I exported this file yesterday and it worked perfectly. I opened today and some text is removed as you see in the image.
    When you export to PDF, some pages (that look ok, just with removed text on Ilustrator) look completely empty, other pages hace some elements missing.
    When you try and save the ilustrator file it shows the error you see.

    I cannot share the ilustrator file since its sensitive infomation but sent screenshot. If someone from Adobe send me an email to marcos@mercadoglobal.org to deal with it I can share the file.

    I cannot spend the time to rebuild these files from scratch.

    Any idea what can cause suddenly to break my .AI file?

13. Incorrect word count via script

    At some point (I think v27) Illustrator has changed its word counting/division algorithm.

    So, where previously the results were sensible:
    "This.Was.Four.Words" — word count: 4
    "This.Is.3.Words" — word count: 4
    "I.WF05f.07.AB.000" — word count: 5
    "I.WF05f.AB.07.000" — word count: 5

    In version 27.4 the results are now confused:
    "This.Was.Four.Words" — word count: 1
    "This.Is.3.Words" — word count: 3
    "I.WF05f.07.AB.000" — word count: 4
    "I.WF05f.AB.07.000" — word count: 2

14. "Adobe Illustrator Web Content" process runs when I open the document in latest versions of AI and keeps running forever, taking CPU and RAM

    Title says it all. Wasn't happening up until few versions back. Still happens with 27.4.1.

15. Bad polish translation. 3D and materials

    In 3D and materials tools. Inflate properties has translated volume to "głośność" which means loudness in polish. It should be translated to "objętość" instead.
    Clearly translator had no context.
    In the same menu there is a lot of issues with translation too, but that one was most bizzare to me and made me come here to post this issue.
    Someone really should take a closer look at it.

16. Can't Delete User Defined Swatches

    I can't seem to find a way to delete my user defined swatches (or brushes) from the adobe library. Even when i look in my Mac Library folder I can't find where they are stored to delete them that way. I've tried saving over them with new ones by the same name but that just duplicated them. It would be nice if there was an easier way to organize + delete swatches, but I feel like Adobe makes a lot of features unnecessarily complicated.

17. getSystemPath using CSInterface throws URI Malformed error

    I was trying to get the my documents folder path of the system using CSInterface getSystemPath function. It works in most of the cases. But it throws URI malformed error (refer the screenshot below), if the path of the documents folder contain characters from languages other than English.

    I debugged the CSInterface.js file at line 521. And I found that the below piece of code returns the path of the folder without encoding the characters from languages other than English.

    window.adobe_cep.getSystemPath(pathType)

    IN MY CASE:

    Path of documents folder: "C:\Users\sanjay\OneDrive - Élégante\Documents".

    window.adobe_cep.getSystemPath(pathType)
    // Returned value - "file:///C:/Users/sanjay/OneDrive%20-%20Ã%89lÃ%a9gante/Documents"
    // É is encoded as Ã%89

    encodeURI("C:/Users/sanjay/OneDrive - Élégante/Documents")
    // Expected value - "file:///C:/Users/sanjay/OneDrive%20-%20%C3%89l%C3%A9gante/Documents"
    // É is encoded as %C3%89

    decodeURI("Ã%89") throws URI malformed error.
    decodeURI("%C3%89") returns É.

    ISSUE:

    So, I guess it is the problem with the encoding of window.adobe_cep.getSystemPath(pathType). Is there any work around for this issue?

    SAME ISSUE WITH OTHER FUNCTION:

    I'm also facing the same issue with other scripting functions like "documentAfterActivate" CS Event which returns the path of active document if a document is opened. The path received is not encoded properly for characters other than English.

    VERSION INFO:

    CEP: 9
    Illustrator: 26.1 (2022) Also tried in 2023.
    OS: Windows 10

19. You just updated Illustrator and now can't connect to Pantone Connect

    When you guys updated Illustrator you made it so I can't connect to Pantone Connect - the arrow button to sign in to Pantone Connect after I type in my email address refuses to click so I can go to the next screen and type my password. And when I try to connect through one step sign in it doesn't recognize i already have a Premium account and wants me to pay again! This needs to be fixed immediately! I have work that needs Pantone colors right now!!!!

20. File adding images unnecassarily in file

    When i reopen a file, illustrator has duplicated and randomly placed (and sized) images from within the file or even doubled the link that was in place. It adds an additional image for each link in the file and also asks them to be relinked! Very frustrating having to look through and clean up the file.
