The name of the missing link gets trimmed from the left side in the file name field in the dialog
But why the name of the link in File Name field in the dialog gets displayed trimmed from the left side, even though the input has PLENTY of space in my dialog window?
This behavior is not new.
I have my guesses that it’s a legacy behavior, to make sure the name is seen on a smaller screen in the smallest dialog... but Ai probably knows the size of the dialog window and can calculate if it fits?3 votes -

Brushes become a lighter tint of black in an RGB document when expanded or rasterized.
Brushes like Art Brushes are based on a CMYK document. They were created with C0 M0 Y0 K100.
When these brushes are used in an RGB document with an RGB black (0/0/0) for the stroke, the result will be around a lighter 10% black than expected because the CMYK black will be converted to RGB.
You can check that by expanding, rasterizing or Output Preview in Acrobat.
If they had been created in the CMYK document with a 100% Grey instead of CMYK values, they would have converted to the darkest black in an RGB documents (greyscale always keep their values when converted between RGB and CMYK documents).Brushes like Art Brushes are based on a CMYK document. As reported, this problem happens most probably due the the recent May update for Windows. At the moment removing it seems like the best soultion to solve the problem.

Holding Shift ignores Snap to Grid when creating artboards
When Snap to Grid is enabled, artboards now respect it, both when moved or get created... unless you hold Shift to constrain proportions when resizing or making it a square.
Totally works for rectangles, I can see no reason to prevent artboards from behaving in a similar fashion.

Illustrator wrongly says texts were created in different version of Illustrator
After the update, this message now appears, saying that my files were created in a different version. But it should be backwards compatible.

Recolor doesn’t allow to change white or black with a first try
I use the Recolor (color mixer / wheel) daily. I have come across an annoying bug.
Some base colors will be automatically 'locked' in the color mixer, indicated by a '-'. For example, let's say I'm trying to turn white into red.
- First, white needs to be unlocked. By clicking the '-', it will become an arrow '->', and the swatch should be toggle-able now.
- The first time you toggle the white, it selects, sliders can be moved to make it red, but it doesn't stay adjusted; it reverts back to whites.
- You need to click another random swatch, then go back to the white swatch which now accepts being toggled to red.I use the Recolor (color mixer / wheel) daily. I have come across an annoying bug.

Color Picker color changes when pressing OK
When using the eyedropper in Color Picker, when you click OK it samples the color behind the OK button instead of the one selected with the eyedropper.

Spots and Globals are converted into process colors when included into Swatch Info
If we pick several spot or global color swatches to display in Swatch Info, the resulting color chips won’t be using the actual swatches picked — these would become process color copies — while Ink Types are shown as 'Spot' for spots... which are not... and no information about some being 'Global'.
I realize this connection would have to be monitored, refreshing cards when a swatch is changed...
But this is what is expected. This is what scripts that offer a similar functionality do.If we choose to convert these into process colors, we can just can select one and press the button in the Color panel... yeah, it won’t work for several of these selected, but that’s another problem.

3 votesAi Beta now keeps spot and global swatches intact when used in Swatch Info. Changing swatches gets updated on canvas, both in values displayed and the color.

Objects vanish when a PDF is exported
The PDF document is not being saved correctly. I have tried saving it in different ways, changing the elements and it still isn't working. I believe it is a problem in Acrobat itself perhaps?

More than 32,000 anchor points can be added to a single path
The pathPoint limit is 32,000, and if we try to continue drawing a path from the end of a PathItem with the pen tool, a dialog box will appear and refuse to add anchor points, but we can add anchor points to the segments in between.

Tabs in Swatch Info text are made with spaces instead of actual tabs
This is so bizarre. A native function for a professional application uses spaces in text to define tab stops, for a non-monospaced font...
Sure, tabs just won’t work, since they stay in place if the Swatch Info object gets resized.... and Ai still doesn’t allow to scale tabs if needed...
Instead of making 'Indent to here' work (here is a request about it: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/37578991) and use it here, this is hacked, rather dirty, giving a worth example to designers. Change the font and the indentations rips apart...

Please allow files to reopen after crash/restart/reopen
Please please Adobe - why is it almost every other company has managed to give us the option to reopen after quit with the same files open but you still haven't?? Today Creative Cloud told me I had 7 updates available and I thought, ok great, maybe just maybe the illustrator one fixes my snap to point problem. So I had to take a photo of what docs I had open (!), quit Illustrator and go back to Creative Cloud to do the update... only to find that it had changed its mind and I only had two updates but low and behold the icon had now updated. And no, neither of them were for Illustrator anymore so back I go.
Nice icon... but really Adobe?! Please make my very expensive software work first!!
Also, is it just me or are adobe cloud files crazily slow to load even on quite a quick connection?

Upside down text stroke disappears when exporting
When I go to export files in illustrator any upside down font with a stroke that has not been outlined shows up in the jpeg without the stroke.

Auto Spell Check is splitting words causing false highlights.
The false highlights are making editing a typo impossible. See attached example.
