   Hi,

   Thanks for reporting this issue, Illustrator Team really appreciate this.
   We are able to reproduce this issue and investigating this further.

   Kindly use below mentioned workaround meanwhile:
   1)Set macOS UI to “System Preferences → General → Highlight Color to any other options in UI than Graphite”

2. File won't SAVE nor SAVE AS; only SAVE AS COPY

   Working on MacBook Pro, Catalina OS, Illustrator 25.2
   The "SAVE" file is not an option. Whether an existing (an existing file with or without changes), or a new file - I cannot "SAVE".

   The "SAVE AS" option looks to be available, but then it does not work.

   The only thing that is a workable option is "SAVE AS COPY". Which is nonsense. This just started happening and I can't fix it. I've tried uninstalling Illustrator and re-installing. No change.

   This is completely unacceptable and I've wasted 3 hours of precious deadline time trying to figure this out. HELP!!!

3. Can't export SVG

   trying to export selection as SVG. Illustrator goes through the motions, opens the destination folder and... nothing, no file, not a thing.

4. Lasso tool not selecting

   Since updating Illustrator a month or so ago, the lasso tool rarely works. No vector points are selected and I'm having to use the direct select tool instead.

   Does it happen all the time for you, or occasionally? in any file, or a specific one? If a certain one — can you share it?

   What is your exact OS details and version used?

   Can you record a short video demonstrating the issue?

   Please comment back, the team lack details on this issues and can’t really start investigations this.

5. Annoying undo behaviour - please don't undo the values in the dialogs

   It has been like this forever but it is very annoying all the same: when you have selected an object and you hit Return to move it by a value of n px, and you undo that action, the x and y values in the Move dialog have been restored to their former value. 99% of the time this is annoying and not what I need. I want the value to be remembered and not undone. I only want the OPERATION to be undone.

6. Exporting assets as SVG with asset export tool is buggy

   Asset export in illustrator is a very convenient tool, the only problem I found is when exporting my drawings to SVGs they get distorted, but when I take my objects one by one to a single document and fit them in an artboard and save the document as SVG the problem resolves (a big process), essentially because SVG saving settings for saving a document isn't the same when for exporting with asset export, I believe it isn't a big problem to solve and I hope for it to get fixed soon, I can reply with images to assist my point.

   Seems to be fixed in the later releases. If the issue still does happen for you (and the Decimal parameter is still set high enough in the Format Settings dialog) — please drop a comment

9. Groups inside compound paths lead to problems

   Today I'm going to bring you awareness to the way Illustrator treats groups in compounds.

   For me it sounds strange already — why would I want a group inside of a compound path?
   What would I use it for?
   Ai won’t allow me to go isolate this group to edit its components.
   Ai would not show it in the Layers tree — for some reason we can’t expand a compound path to see its children, like we can do with the groups.
   Ai won’t give scripts a way to see these groups inside of compound paths — and this leads to problems when you have to cycle through a path’s children.

   Still, Ai allows to create groups in compounds.

   The very first option, when you select a group and command Create Compound Path, is fixed — Illustrator ungroups it for us, it seems, and then creates a compound path — if you uncompound it, you would get objects ungrouped.

   The second one is simple as that, but is not fixed.
   Create a new compound path from two or more objects. Leave it.
   Create a new group from whatever number objects. Cut it.
   Isolate the first compound path. Paste the group in the compound path.
   There you have it, a group in a compound path.
   A script won’t see its children when because AI never tells it is a group and not just a first level child.
   If you uncompound it, the group will be there.

   You don’t have to isolate and paste to create these.
   Ai just makes them occasionally.
   Draw two rectangles, one atop another.
   Select them both and grab Shape Builder.
   Click the inner rectangle once and then click one more time, but with Alt held.
   And now you have a compound path that is comprised from a group entirely.

   So the problem is that Ai can’t treat these uniformly. It says both yes and no:
   — Ai doesn't allow to naively create compounds from groups — no
   — You can paste groups inside — yes
   — You can't expand compounds in Layers tree or isolate them — no
   — You can have these done with default tools — yes
   — But scripts won't see them — no
   Guess, dear user!

   Please make this more predictable.
   Make these legal and give tools to control OR make the impossible entirely and make sure they stay like it.
   Which way to choose?
   Which one you prefer and why?
   Let’s discuss it.

    When selecting "Fit on screen" the selected screen size remains active and next key press is added to % size

11. Missing transparency in placed PDFs

    I do have issues with Illustrator displaying transparencies of placed PDFs as solid.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Open a new document.
    2. Draw two partially overlapping rectangles with different colors.
    3. Set he opacity of the frontmost rectangle to 50%.
    4. Save this document as a PDF with setting Illustrator Standard (see attached file).
    5. Open a second document.
    6. Place the PDF file.

    Expected result:

    The topmost rectangle should be displayed with transparency.

    Actual result:

    The topmost rectangle is not transparent.

    If you save the document with the placed PDF itself as PDF file, the rectangle is still transparent, so this is a display issue of Illustrator. Now it’s getting really weird: If you place this second PDF file in a new Illustrator document … all looks fine.

    I am using Illustrator 25.0.1 on MacOS 10.14.6.

12. The Operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [PARM] when accessing Help

    When I try to go to help and start typing "R" for Resize the error happened. See the image.

13. GPU Preview not available (grayed out) after editing artboard

    With newest version of illustrator the GPU acceleration and GPU-Preview fails in some files. To test it i have created a blank document and the GPU preview works. But when I edit the artboard, the GPU preview is turned off at that moment and cannot be reactivated. Reset the Illustrator-Settings to default doesn't fix it.

    Illustrator 25.2, MacPro2013, GPU AMD FirePro D700, Monitor 2560x1600Pixel, Wacom-Tablet, MacOs Catalina and Mojave testet.

14. Placed images vanish

    When system (Windows) crashes with Illustrator open, any placed or linked images are missing in the recovery file, thus rendering it unusable.
    Warning appears, asking me to relink " " file (even if the linked file has a name), which I can't do due to missing information. Link palette is not displaying any information on what file it was either.
    I have never seen this bug before, but it has happened the last two times for me, and is very unfortunate.

15. Convert to Artboards doesn't work if there are Sublayers on the same Layer

    I get the following error message when I try to convert a Rectangle to an Artboard when the rectangle exists on a layer that also contains a Sublayer:

    "To create Artboards, select non-rotated rectangles that are not clipping masks."

    OS: macOS Big Sur Version 11.5

    Illustrator Version 25.4

16. Illustrator Mac - Windowed Mode window traffic lights not working as per UI spec.

    The Alt Key is supposed to present options to move the window between different screens and to resize, zoom, go half-screen wide etc. Illustrator 2021 Mac does not do this.

17. Transparency mask bug

    Pasting objects from the clipboard inside the Transparency mask mode doesn't work when the "Paste remember layer" feature is turned on inside the Layers panel.

18. Illustrator GPU performance | Driver updates

    Using Illustrator V25.1
    GPU Details
    Vendor: Intel
    Device: Intel(R) Iris(R) XE Graphics
    WIndows 10
    Keeps crashing, suggestion for the fix from Adobe is to check and update drivers. I have followed the instructions and updated the drivers using Adobe instructions. Illustrator is still crashing and Adobe is still suggesting the same fix. Have double checked graphics driver is up-to-date and Intel confirms that it is.

19. Whatever happened to User Guides?

    I myself am an OLD(School) Illustrator user truly believe that the lack of issuing any type of user guide is at best discourteous. Unfortunately, Adobe seems quite happy to Offload (i.e. burden and/or inconvenience) the task to their community. It seems like they used to consider us customers (or even clients) who deserved professional, well-organized, easy-to-use, comprehensive, and UP TO DATE instructions and guides. Hmmm,.. whatever happened to support those who put/keep you in business? I guess in the software business that's progress?

    It's even worse when you consider that we live in a time when it would be MAGNITUDES easier than ever to produce, share and update truly useful and robust supporting content- Instead they offer tutorials that are so basic, they're practically useless.

20. Drop shadow jagged edge on placed images

    When applying drop shadows on high quality png or psd images placed into illustrator, the edges end up jagged.
