  1. GPU Preview Disables GPU Preview & Crashes erase Embedded Files

    Running Illustrator 27.8.1 on macOS Ventura 13.5.1

    MacBook Pro 16" 2022
    M2 Max
    32 GB

    Every now and then Illustrator switches to CPU Preview and disables GPU Preview. This can be fixed (most of the time) by saving, closing the file, and re-opening it.

    Somewhat related, Illustrator crashes daily, and when opening the recovered file, all embedded images are either invisible, black, or turn into noise. When looking at the "Links" panel, those files show up as 0 bytes in size.

    Weirdly enough, general performance is fine.

  4. You just updated Illustrator and now can't connect to Pantone Connect

    When you guys updated Illustrator you made it so I can't connect to Pantone Connect - the arrow button to sign in to Pantone Connect after I type in my email address refuses to click so I can go to the next screen and type my password. And when I try to connect through one step sign in it doesn't recognize i already have a Premium account and wants me to pay again! This needs to be fixed immediately! I have work that needs Pantone colors right now!!!!

  5. File > New > No answer

    Good evening, I cannot create a new file on Adobe Illustrator.
    As usual, I click on File > New, then no answer, nothing happen...

    Any suggestion ?

    I uninstall the app then install again, same error.
    I checked with Creative Cloud Cleaner, same thing...

  7. フォント検索中に落ちました。

    OS:Windows11
    ILLUSTRATOR: 27.8.20

    フォントを探していて、下記内容のダイアログを出力して落ちました。[Kill Process] [Ignore ] [copy] などのボタンが出ていたので、copy で内容を取得しました。

  8. Selecting a shape selects multiple unrelated objects

    I'm trying to select a shape on my artboard and it automatically selects multiple objects even though they are not grouped or linked together in an way. Also, an object is getting selected even though I'm trying to click another object on the artboard. There seems to be some kind of margin around that object but it is just a shape that I created, no clip mask or anything of that sort was applied to the object. Is there a way to figure out what actions were applied to an object when clicked? If not, that could come handy.

  9. Can't delete swatch

    I have a random color swatch that appears in my Swatches palette every time I create a new document. It cannot be deleted. As far as I can tell, it is not being used anywhere. I can change it to a different color, but then if I try to delete it, it not only does not delete, but it changes back to the original color. Right now, it's some random shade of blue, but at other times it is a different color that persists. Here is a video: https://youtu.be/MVJKo4i0xfw

  10. Selected anchor points turn light gray, are almost not visible version 27.5

    Illustrator 27.5. Ventura 13.2.1. When selecting items the selection color is not the layer colour but is almost not visible (light gray). GPU performance on or of doesn't help.

  13. AI 2023 no longer saving older as CS6 files that get recognized by other programs

    Illustrator 2023 version 27.6.1 no longer saves a file as CS6 that works with RD Works, a program used for laser cutting and engraving. I know it is due to Illustrator 2023. When I imported a previous project created in Illustrator 2022 and saved it as a CS6 file, they imported perfectly into RD Works without any problems. RD Works has never been updated on my computer for three years. Attached is a CS6 that opens properly in Illustrator yet is not seen by RD Works.

  14. cursor covers tool tip in tool selection

    When selecting tools to add to the toolbar, the cursor changes to an arrow pointing to the upper left. When I mouse over a tool that I might want to add to the toolbar, the tooltip appears under the arrow. Consequently, the first few letters are hidden beneath the cursor. The tooltip needs to either be shifted away from the cursor or drawn over the cursor.

  15. Outputted colours differing on same artwork.

    Getting a problem where the outputted colour of a filled shape is darker than that of the same filled text box.

    I'm producing artwork that will be sublimation printed onto fabric. I out the artwork as an .eps file, I then print the artwork onto fabric and the same colour values are now massively different and stand out like a sore thumb!

    I've been producing artwork like this for the best part of 11 years now, and never had this issue!! Difficult to see the the attached photos.

  16. クラウドドキュメントで文字スタイルを削除した後開き直すと削除した文字スタイルが表示される

    macOS 12.6.3
    Illustrator 26.5.2 および 27.3.1

    再現方法
    1. 新規書類を作成し文字スタイルを作成しクラウドドキュメントとして保存する。
    2. 1で作成した文字スタイルを削除してドキュメントを閉じる。
    3. 閉じたクラウドドキュメントを開くと削除したはずの文字スタイルが表示される

    ただし1で作成したクラウドドキュメントを開きその文字スタイルを編集したり新たな文字スタイルを追加した後に削除した場合はそのクラウドドキュメントを開き直しても削除した文字スタイルは表示されませんでした。

    クラウドドキュメントのみで発生する事象でコンピュータに保存したドキュメントでは発生しないことを確認しています。

  18. Cmd/Ctrl + Enter does not work in Properties to constrain a value temporarily

    I want to say first of all. Maybe most people don't know this. For example, the Transform Palette has a great feature while holding down the Ctrl key. At least for me.

    With Ctrl+Enter in the Transform Palette, I can scale proportionally enlarge/reduce regardless of whether the Constrain Width and Height Proportions button is selected or not.
    This feature (Ctrl+Enter) Properties Panel Does Not Work. When will you make this palette that you are so proud of more useful? For example, I want to add the Layer Palette custom. etc.

  19. Unfoldable layers

    Illustrator does not display and allow to click unfold arrows next to these layers, despite the objects in them exist in the document.

  20. Brush Pressure not working (greyed out) in 27.8.1 - Reverting to version 27.7 fixes issue

    When Illustrator auto updated to 27.8.1, all my pressure brushes stopped working. Pressure is not available as a brush option.

    I use an XP-Pen artist Pro 15.6 tablet on Windows 10

    I went through the SOP that I do when this happens - uninstalled and reinstalled multiple versions of the XP-Pen drivers and nothing worked. I think reverted Illustrator back to 27.7 and it works again.

    It would be nice if this functionality didn't break regularly when new versions are released. It makes Auto-updating an unrealistic option as I end up wasting time chasing down bugs when I really should…
