  1. My Huion 1610 pro tablet has small bugs in illustrator.

    This doesnt happen in other applications adobe or otherwise. The pen is very jittery in illustrator and its near impossible to get a straight line at times. Also, the mapped keyboard shortcuts dont work correctly. As far as I can tell this is an illustrator issue (I could be wrong) as they seem to port over nicely all other applications.

  2. Workspaces not working at all

    Today (Mar 19th, 2018) I updated Illustrator and upon (re)launching, NONE of my pallets/Windows opened into the application. When I try to switch to built-in or custom Workspaces, nothing changes. The Workspace STAYS selected as my previously-selected Workspace and none show up. If I manually go look at the Windows in the menu, none are open and I can MANUALLY open them and move them around... "Manage Workspaces" and "New Workspace" are disabled (Gray) and no matter what I do, I cannot change or override. I have quit/relaunched numerous times - same results.

  3. Stroke circles are distransformed (Graphics Glitch)

    Some sizes of stroke circles are drawn perfect, some has distractions in four "edges" - how to solve this?

    Files atached.

    When I extract them as fill strokes, they are going normal, but I need to work with strokes.

    Very gratefull for help!

  4. Changing text spacing duplicates text and makes other object glitch

    There is some kind of problem with the text spacing feature. It has been causing issues such as duplication of previous text, deleting text from another part of the page, causing all text to be spaced incorrectly and more.

  5. Illustrator documents open up as skewed black and gray triangles

    When I open a file in illustrator, all that shows up are black and gray skewed lines and triangles. I have uninstalled and re-installed illustrator but has not fixed the problem. The image cannot be seen whatsoever. Attached file shows what SHOULD be the silhouette of the state of Illinois. This is what I get instead:

  6. Bounding box suddenly disappears using Selection Tool

    Suddenly disappears, but when a select scale then select the "Selection Tool" again the Bounding box reappears. When it is gone, togglingthe quick key, has no effect though t changes the menu state for turning it on and off. Also, when it can't be seen, a small icon for the bounding box is in the corner, occasionally.

    Sound familiar to anyone else?

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  8. Text Formatting Bug

    Adobe Illustrator 22.1 (64-bit)

    Typing text within a single text box that requires different font styles formatting.

    While editing the text within the text box, in the last version (Illustrator 21), I could change up the font style of a font family and continue typing.

    But, in the updated version, if I change the font style (i.e. roman, bold, italic) I have to click back into the text box to continue typing. In addition, the change in formatting does not apply once clicked back into said text box. This requires me to type out whatever needs to be typed out…

  9. Version info disappeared from “Get Info” of Finder

    macOS 10.12.6
    CC 22.1

    For ai files saved using v22.1, version info is not displayed in “Get Info” of Finder.
    When checking with xattr command, com.apple.ResourceFork did not exist in those file.
    Did the specifications change?

    Resource Fork in .ai files are removed in version 22.1. This is done to prevent an intermittent crash while saving Illustrator files to smb volume on macOS 10.13. Apple deprecated resource fork many years ago.

  10. Shape panel measurements vs. Transform panel measurements

    The measurements (width and height) on the Shape panel are inverted compared to the measurements on the Transform panel. The transform panel shows the correct measurements, but no the Space panel. Please fix so that both panels have the same measurement.

  11. Artboard Tool button crashes Illustrator

    I'm trying to put this in the "Illustrator Bugs" category, but the button I have to click says "Post idea". Apologies if this is in the wrong area.

    Every time I click the artboard button Illustrator crashes.

    I'm using a 2017 iMac
    Illustrator version 22.0.1

    I've been having the same problem since the last time I updated Illustrator (several months). Doing research in the trouble shooting forum leads me to believe this has been a problem since October 2017.

    No one had posted a solution in the forum.

    I spent a while on Adobe's website searching for the appropriate phone…

  12. Illustrator CC 22.1 destroyed my file

    22.1 (released today March 15, 2018) destroyed a complex drawing, exhibiting very odd drawing mistakes leading me to quit. Upon reopening the file was corrupted and a single object remained. I suggest NOT updating until this is solved.

  13. Special characters and Data merge

    New data merge feature does not import special characters like trademark or inch marks. Followed steps provided on https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/data-driven-graphics-templates-variables.html

    Attached is an example package artwork and a csv for data merge. I need the inch marks and TM to pull in as part of the text.

    I have used scripts in the past to generate artwork from data which has worked to pull in any character found here http://hypertransitory.com/blog/2015/04/26/illustrator-variable-data/

  14. "Place" Shortcut Now Remapped To "New From Template"

    1. 22.1
    2. Just minutes ago I posted that shift-command-N did nothing instead of opening a new document from my templates. This time I manually went to the file menu to achieve this. Then after opening my template, I needed to place a graphic and used the prescribed shortcut shift-command-P…
    3. And instead of opening the Place dialog box…
    4. NOW my computer is trying to open a new document from my templates. I have restarted Illustrator and this still is happening. I double checked my shortcut editor and the shortcuts are still set to adobe defaults.

  15. The Operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [x!fd]

    This issue happens with older templates. When I open older files, it gives this message: The Operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [x!fd]. I have a gotten this message in 2017 and Adobe step up to fix the issue, but the previous update and this one still has the issue. I can open these in previous versions of Illustrator. It's really a pain to fix the file as I have to save in Illustrator 8 and then reimport the text as this conversion converts the type to curves. Now to make matters worse if I save the file…

  16. file does not keep imported and applied paragraph styles after saving the file

    1. Illustrator 16.0.4 (CS6) Mac OS 10.11.6
    2. After applying imported paragraph styles, I can save the file, but when reopening the style effects have gone. Tried to erase the preferences etc. but it reappears not immediately, but after two or three steps for sure... What can I do?

  18. SCREEN IS ALL BLACK ON OPENING EXISTING FILE

    Just updated to latest version of Illustrator this morning and when I open an existing file to work on it, the entire art board is BLACK. Only way to fix the problem is resize the Mac art board window. My whole team is experiencing this problem. PLEASE FIX ASAP.

    Also copy-and-paste from illustrator to indesign seems like it has been disabled as well. Come on, folks... this is not good.... Super unhappy.

    We have reverted back to the previous version in the meantime.

  19. Eydropper changes font when applying color from an image...

    When using the eyedropper to grab color from an image, and then place that color onto text (by holding down the ALT key). AI changes the font.

  20. AI displays the START SCREEN on opening the file and the document view do not switches (refreshes) the file content.

    v 22.1

    When trying to open an existing file while Illustrator is closed, the software will lag and then hang on the opening screen. The file appears to be opened in the background, but there's no way to access or see it. The opening screen will give options to open additional files or create a new one (as usual) but when trying to do either, nothing will open and no New File Options menu will appear.

    Everything will work normally only if I open Illustrator first and then the file.

    Thank you all for reporting this issue and providing us your valuable feedback.

    What we have found out so far is that this issue can happen in multiple workflows. For clear tracking, validation and closure. We will closing this thread for given below two scenarios which we believe are fixed now:

    1)Double click any Ai file to launch Illustrator
    2)Placing files in Illustrator via Bridge.
