Random movement in text layers
After saving and exiting Illustrator (26.0.1) on Mac OS Monterey (happened on Big Sur as well) when I open the file later the text layer have moved randomly. While not a repeatable bug, it does happen more than 50% of the time.

Cannot delete or merge duplicate colors
My Swatches palette has multiple colors of the same name and formula. When I try to merge them, they don't merge.

Text disappearing when outlined
When outlining text in Illustrator, some of the text is disappearing, as though under a clipping mask, The text outlines are present but the text is not visible.
Turning the fill to overprint stops this happening, but I can't overprint white text....I have tried on a brand new file, so there are no formatting issues. The typeface is irrelevant it happens on all types .otf or .ttf...

Rotation of a text while Snap to Grid is on
You can't rotate a text with the Rotate tool when Snap to grid is on.
Please watch the GIF attached.
Then try to replicate.
Open the attached document.
Enable Snap to Grid.
Select text.
Grab Rotate tool.
Hold Shift (or even do not).
Try to rotate the text.
Failure?
If yes, move it a bit to the side (with snapping still on) and try again.

Display wigging out when placing images
Displaying crazy in 26.0.2. When drawing or placing images, screen goes completely white or shows a strange box with an "x". No matter where i click, the mouse click will drag from the corner of the item on the artboard, scaling it.

exporting PDF files
You're phasing out eps files. I gather I should now provide logos files in PDF.
However, I can't export each art board (I use artboards for the variations of the logos I design) as a separate file. I don't believe a client wants a multiple paged PDF for a logo!
What do you expect our work flow to be?2 votes -
Illustrator fills trash with "Recovered files"
Illustrator 2021 on OS X Mojave keeps filling my trash with "Recovered files". So what's going on with it? I don't know what the issue might be as there is no crash or something else. It seems like a bug from Illustrator.

PDFs saving two pages when I only have one artboard
Every time I save a pdf, the resulting file has two pages even though the document only has one artboard.

Symbols in SVG-export flip vertically
Windows 10, 25.3.1, 64 bit,
File/Save as/SVG
I have Symbols, yes, it's a symbol-library for the web, saving them as svg (which is best for editing them further) flips the y-axis.
This problem was described first in 2014:

Page orientation incorrect in new document panel
Opening a new document and trying to make it 17"w x 11"h, the document opens at 11"w x 17"h.

Error opening Edit menu
Not sure when this started happening. When a graphic object is selected on the artboard (JPEG in this case), the Edit tab in the main menu bar produces an error when clicked on. Other tabs seem fine. When trying to open the Edit menu, the attached error pops up. Once the error is dismissed, the dropdown menu opens. This happens every time the process is repeated. It is not helped by restarting either Illustrator or the Mac.

Touchscreen drawing not working
I am on a Lenovo IdeaPad, and the touchscreen drawing does not work even in touchscreen mode. Rarely will it show what I drew and even then, it is after I have lifted my finger. I can only really place dots. Also, pinch-to-zoom doesn't work. Some process, probably library syncing, overwrote graphic updates
Almost lost half a day's work. Though I lost a bunch of time and productivity figuring out how to get it back.
A library graphic got overwritten by an older version of that library graphic by something other than a human being.
I was working in Illustrator 26.0.1 and Photoshop 22.5.2 at the same time on a Windows 10 machine. I had the graphic as a Smart Object in Photoshop. But since it's a graphic it was being edited in Illustrator.
I also had Illustrator 26.0.1 opened on my Windows 10 laptop cause that's where I do my pen work,…

Crashing
I am working on a 158 page book and have to make some changes in Illustrator. After every 4th Page Illustrator crashes on me.

Guides are invisible
The update made my guides disappear unless I click on the object or artboard. It would be OK, but when I use the arrows to move the guides they disappear and I can't see how far I have moved them. May I change this update back to how it was.

Canvas goes white and blue when selecting object.
Whenever I select anything on the canvas, the entire canvas goes full white, and alternates between blue and white. Clicking anywhere on the canvas returns to the previous view, but it makes it impossible to make adjustments. I'm using Illustrator 25.0.1, on a 2019 16" MacBook Pro running macOS Big Sur. I tied reverting to 25.0.0 but the same problem occurred.
17 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.2.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
