AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U Radeon GPU not recognized (but works in Premiere, Lightroom)
Illustrator does not use the GPU (Setings->Performance says "Compatible GPU not available", even though below the device is listed under "GPU Details".
However, all other Adobe CC apps (Lightroom, Premiere) do recognize and use the GPU without any problems.

How to stop .tmp$$$ when export .png file on Illustrator from Avast Anti-virus
The cause of this annoying problem came from the ransomware shield function from Avast. This is an easy method to solve this problem.
- Go to Avast Antivirus user interface.
- Select the protection tab.
- Select ransomware shied.
- Protected folder by Avast Ransomware shield will appear.
- Click the checkbox of the protected file location that you choose to export which shown for protection.(C:\USER...\Pictures etc.)
- When you select, the message of the selected folder and "Stop Protection" button will appear.
- Click stop protection.

After Big Sur upgrade
I am having a lot of issues with Illustrator 2021 after Big Sur upgrade.
Directional tool continues to change on it's own, and duplicates.
Pencil tool gets stuck on straight line and won't allow me to change it.
Object/Transform/Reflect causes a duplicate, and won't transform until I delete the copy.
Cannot click off to deselect an object. I have to go to menu to deselect all.
Keeps automatically checking Perspective Grid, snap to grid. I don't do it, but I have to go and uncheck it all the time.

Variable Data Not Working - Illustrator
Hi - Is anyone else having issues with the Variable data tool? This week it doesn't seem to be working for me after a recent update.
I'm trying to import a list of names to swap out for a batch of images.
I've created my image, dropped in the line of text that will change based on the data and put that on a new layer. I then clicked "Make Text Dynamic" in the Variable window and loaded my .CSV file of list of names.

Depois a última atualização do illustrator, as configurações de cores ficou toda bgunçada, o programa força a opção "EMULAR ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR 6.0", e quando acesso arquivos que ja tem as cores com seus valores definidos o programa muda as cores por conta própria. Não encontrei uma maneira de desabilitar essa função.

SVG Export - Compound Paths Cause Performance Issues & Unexpected Results
Windows 10, Illustrator 25.2.3 | System info attached and repro file attached.
There are 2 artboards and asset exports defined in the file.
They are the same illustration with 1 difference - the "grouped" version has a set of paths grouped together, and the "compound" version has those same paths combined into a compound path.
I ran 3 test exports with my repro file, increasing paths: first 500 paths, then 1000 paths, and finally 1500 paths. Here's the export times:

I am a designer at a Sign business and after the update I can't make a functioning stroke. It will add a red line around the stroke when printing and I can't make the stroke work at all. Pantone Connect
Hi there,
When trying to load the Pantone Connect Extension I see a black window instead of the swatches and other features of the extension. The only message I see is a purple link that says “reload plugin” which has no effect when I click on it. This was the case for the 2020 version when I tried it today, so I updated all my apps, thinking this might help. Kerning not working between first two characters of any word
No matter what I do, I can't adjust the kerning between the first two characters of any word in illustrator. The rest of the word can be spaced just fine, just not between the the first two letters. Please help, this is sort of an essential duty of this software.

Blurry Cloud Preview
Maybe this is a bug or a new feature request but when I share an Illustrator file for review via Creative Cloud the preview is showing all artboards with no ability to jump between artboards. When I try to zoom in to preview assets its just a blurry mess. See attached.

CFF font outline rendering issue
I have received a font quality complaint which seems to be related to Adobe Illustrator 2021. It does not occur in versions 2019 and 2020. In the app viewport, some outlines have kinks which are not part of vector outlines (image 1). When converted to outlines, the paths are clean, however the bump is still being rendered (image 2). In a png output file the bump is not present either (image 3). It seems to be a viewport rasterizer failure rather than font flaw. Please let me know if any additional information is required. Path+stroke profile weirdness
Plz examine the file. Two paths with different width profiles when reflected. Bottom one behaviour is good, top path behaves badly. Why would this be ?

Using Undo after accidental selecting text on path corrupts text and can’t be fixed with Undo
Object on top of unlocked text on path.
Sse lasso to select top object but also grab visually blocked text path by accident.
Delete.
Realize corrupted underneath text
Ctrl+Z does NOT fix text.

Dragging across visibility icons in Separations Preview panel doesn’t work
You have to turn off each color individually in separation preview .
With Photoshop you only need to click on a color. Hold down the mouse button and then pull it up or down to switch more colors on or off. So if you want to switch 10 colors off and on again, for example, you have to click the mouse a total of 20 times.
With Photoshop you only need two clicks for this process.

Unit increments for Large canvas documents have fractions
Since the introduction of the large canvas sizes (which is awesome, by the way) I have been noticing that my increments of measure particularly in type and keyboard increments within the preferences have been scaling down to microscopic numbers when I change from feet to inches or points. I then get these odd numbers when scaling type with the keyboard shortcuts.
