  1. CMYK Hex Code Color Change

    Windows 10 Pro 18362.719 / Adobe Illustrator 24.0.1. (64bit)

    I downloaded and opened a CMYK/Vector file I received through Google Drive, and a specific color on the file was slightly brighter than the color that is supposed to be.

    I tried to replace the specific graphic with the original color by typing the hex code manually, but it also changed to the brighter color.

    I heard it has been a common issue that has been around, but is there any way to keep the color?

  2. Metadata title isn't saving (24.0)

    When I save an illustrator file, it's stripping out the specified metadata title and replacing it with the filename upon re-opening the file. Even if I re-enter the info in Bridge, when I modify & save the file in Illustrator, it reverts to the file name.
    When I export the image though, it attaches whatever title is showing in the file info panel in Illustrator, regardless of whether it will "stick" after closing or not.

    Also to note, if I enter info into other fields it seems to work fine. It's only the Title that is being overridden.

  3. SVG bug with "use" element

    Steps to reproduce
    1. Open IllustratorBug.svg in Adobe Illustrator
    2. Open the same file in Chrome or Firefox browser
    Result: Illustrator displays the image incorrectly. See the attached files.

  4. Symbol color management is different from color settings

    Symbol color management is different from color settings

    Example: Default CMYK Color profile is ISO coated v2 ECI
    RGB profile: sRGB
    When in CMYK file make a fill square in some color (for ex. 0-0-0-100) and create from this symbol, the color in symbol (symbol editing mode) stay 0-0-0-100, but symbol instance in file show the different color: 75-66-64-76.

  5. v24.2 swatches / pattern issues - either one or the other - different from fill drop down

    in the latest version v24.2 (june2020) my swatches dissapeared and if i go to defaults RGB and click on the first (white) and last and then the last pattern in the block then click ADD TO SWATCHES and nothing happens or it only adds the last pattern.

    i added one by one and it worked UNTIL i added a pattern and it erased all colour swatches and only left the patterns. this IS happening with the new update.

    and in the upper left hand (menu bar) if on the fill drop down, it does link to shows the swatches and…

  6. CC Library Legacy Warning

    Operating System: Windows 10
    Illustrator Version: 24.1.1

    I am trying to add a CMYK graphic to CC Library. When I do, I receive the warning:

    "Saving to a legacy format may cause some changes to your text layout and disable some editing features when the document is read back in."

    Resetting my preferences did not help. I checked for Adobe updates, but Creative Cloud doesn't indicate there are any available. If I add it as an RGB graphic, I do not get the error. But I need the CMYK version.

  7. Illustrator 24.2 EPS title information changed to "Adobe Illustrator Artwork"

    Previously when saving eps files, the "Title" information embedded within the file would be the filename. It appears that with version 24.2 the eps title information defaults to "Adobe Illustrator Artwork". Can this be corrected back to the filename? Our RIP uses this title information and now all our files are being processed with the same name.

  8. Linked images don't show when opening a file

    Since the June update, some linked images don't appear when first time opening an existing file. After selecting them with the white arrow and moving them, they suddenly appear.

  9. Illustrator 202 Unable to Add Bleed Above 1” In Existing Document

    When making a new document we are now able to add bleed up to 24”.

    However when trying to add bleed to an existing document by going to File > Document Setup, it does not let you set bleed above 1”.

  10. Document Setup - Artboard size not showing cursor

    Pre update the artboard size fields (W: and H: fields) after clicking Document Setup button in top toolbar would show cursor position. After updating to 24.2 the cursor is no longer visible. The field will highlight but we are not able to see the cursor position.

    Please allow for cursor to be visible inside these fields.

  11. Reveal in Bridge not working

    At first, I was trying to 'Reveal in Bridge'. Bridge would open but wouldn't navigate to my link.

    So I updated to the latest version of Illustrator CC (I was one version behind) and now the 'Reveal in Bridge' option is greyed out.

    How about a nice 'Reveal in Finder/Explorer' option that we'd all prefer?

  12. Redo simply freeze my display. I've Illustrator 24.2 in Win10 Home. I put my laptop on sleep. And then I put it on. Working again.

    I performed multiple redo operations. and the screen just froze. I click buttons, tap mouse but nothing. Then I put my laptop on sleep. When I awaken the laptop it was in some other window, like the input were processed but only my display it was not working. Please resolve soon.

  13. Tab not working properly

    When I click Tab it hides or shows or the menus, but if I try to click Tab immediately again, the function doesn't work. This wasn't the case in the previous versions.

  14. Illustrator (version 24.1.2) crashes every time I use the crop tool.

    I have been using the crop tool without an issue over the last year and a half, right up until yesterday. Today my illustrator refuses to work the second i click on the crop tool, and instantly crashes. I tried reinstalling it, but it hasn't improved.

  15. SVG arc path without whitespace standard syntax broken

    When an arc is described using a missing whitespace, which is perfectly valid SVG syntax, it will not be rendered correctly in Illustrator. This was discovered with SVG files compressed by SVGO 1.3+ and later which has the arc path optimisation by default.

    This syntax should work as it is a standard part of the SVG specification and is rendered correctly by all major web browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari.

    In the attached example an arc is written as:

    a.65.65 0 011.109-.459

    The string 011.109 contains 3 values:

    0
    1 (a boolean is required here, it cannot be 11.109)…

  16. Tiny UI

    UI is super tiny and remains that way even if I choose "large scaling" in the UI preferences. I even updated the program and it's still an issue. operating on windows 10 and Adobe 2020.

  17. Tools not loading

    OS: Windows 10, AI version 24.1.1.3

    Tool bar is missing since updating to 24.1.1.3. Can't seem to find a way to bring it back. Resetting preferences doesn't work too.

  18. Document window opens as narrow strip, will not expand to full width

    Every document. Every time.

    Multiple documents stack inside this narrow window.
    Documents set to open in tabs.
    Same regardless if Illustrator is opened first or opens with document.
    Documents on external drives and local machine.

    Illustrator 23.0.4
    2016 MacBook Pro 15-inch 16 GB RAM
    Mid-2015 MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch 16 GB RAM
    MacOS Mojave (current)
    Mac Illustrator CC 2019 (current)
    Application Frame turned off. (with frame turned on things work differently... fine)
    Both built in display and 32-inch 4k.

    Only started this when I upgraded to CC 2019.

    Clicking here expands the window too it's original, correct size.

    Reset preferences.…

  19. Cannot maximize, minimize, resize, or close the program because the top bar is MISSING

    "Application Frame" doesn't exist in the Window drop down and that is the ONLY advice you give to fix this bug. I can't even use the program until this issue is fixed so it's useless paying for CC

  20. 100% view is not 100% for pixels in cc2019

    OMG, yesterday I've updated illustrator cc2018 to cc2019. Objects now in 100% view are diplayed as ~151% - see attached file - in left side - illustrator cc2018 window and 400x400 px square in 100% view. In the right side - the same square in 100% view.

    Please fix this annoing bug.
    This is on Mac pro late 2013, High Sierra, 27' Eizo monitor 1400x2560

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.3.1 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
