  1. Preview in PNG export options panel doesn't work

    There is a bug in options panel for PNG files, the preview window only show white or transparent regarding the option selected.

  2. Very laggy zooming in and out using mouse scroll since versions 28.1

    I'm on Windows 11, using the newly updated AI 29.0. This has been mostly my issue since AI 28.1 onwards. I've been using AI 28.0 without any problems, but I try out every new version to see if the issue will be resolved. I have a good internet connection (700++ Mbps). I think my system has more than the minimum requirements.

    For AI 28.0 - both .AI and AIC (cloud) files can be zoomed in and out using mouse scroller without any problems.

  5. Transparency Needed in Illustrator's Restricted Words Alert

    I think when 'one or more words' violate the guidelines, Illustrator should clearly inform us what words these are exactly.
    I guess this can be used for a bad cause, like to gather the database of restricted words... but I don’t understand why normal users should suffer because of this.

  6. They won't let me generate an MLK Jr. illustration for my MLK day design

    I run a Ryzen 5 5500U MSI laptop and my Adobe Illustrator is the latest one from 2025.

    I literally tried the most well-explained prompt so it leaves no confusion at all. But still in the middle of the process it gets terminated. Please take a look at my prompt,

  7. Pasted/embedded images are sporadically appearing or disappearing depending on scroll direction

    When opening an ai file with V29.2 on Windows 11 utilizing a RTX a2000 laptop (Firmware 553.50) embedded and linked images appear and disappear depending on scrolling direction. This renders the program completely unusable. This bug does not appear in V28.7.3

  8. Context Task Bar flickers when panning with a scroll, using mouse or touchpad

    CTB hides itself when we pan.
    It looks more or less tolerable when we hold Spacebar to pan, or hold a mouse wheel ('why should someone has access to the panel while scrolling'), but it looks HORRIBLE when scrolling with a wheel or using a touchpad.

    The panel flickers each tick, making it painful to look at.

    Some say it happens for them only with Show Grid enabled, but for me it just happens all the time. Either way, CTB should be smart enough to skip the state update for this type of panning.

  9. BMP bitmaps are seen as RGB, lose transparency and cannot be coloured in 28.5

    Place a .BMP 1 bit file in AI 28.5. It is seen as RGB and cannot be coloured.
    PSD and TIF bitmaps work fine.

  10. Illustrator gets minimized when toolbars get touched at Mac Sonoma 14.1, with application frame disabled

    By updating to MacOS 14.1, In Illustrator 2024 28.00, as soon as you touch the toolbars, they disappear. Keeping the "Application Pane" active does not give the error. Can it be solved. A thousand thanks!

  11. Clipped objects outside of the clipping mask get highlighted with Smart Guides enabled

    With Smart guides turned on, the Selection tools see individual items inside the mask (even though when then clicking it only selects the mask). This behavior is also not desirable as it makes selecting objects really tricky.

  12. Hitting Escape while editing a field does not cancel the value but applies it

    I don’t know why nobody reports this...
    If I input something in a field and I want to abort and return to the previous value, I hit Escape.

    Sometimes the first Escape closes the suggestions dropdown (like in browsers), and only the second one restores the previous value.

    A LOT of apps follow this rule except browsers:
    Affinity Designer, Inkscape, CorelDRAW, Blender...
    Non-design ones too: MS Office, Google Docs, various text editors... A LOT.

    Some apps keep the value entered, but don’t apply it, and put the old one back when an object get reselected — Xara does it.

  13. Draw Inside won’t work with live compound shapes

    Draw Inside is great. Draw Inside lets you create a clipping mask in a fraction of the time it takes to create it with Object > Clipping mask > Make. But it's got some annoying issues.

    1. Draw a shape.
    2. Draw another shape over it.
    3. Make these two shapes into a compound shape.
    4. Select the whole compound shape.
    5. Draw Inside won't work.
    6. But you can put some other shapes under the compound shape, select them all, and do Object > Clipping path > Make.

  14. 下揃えに設定したエリア内テキストを途中で改行すると上にスペースが十分あるにも関わらずオーバーフローする

    macOS13.6.7／Windows10・11
    Illustrator 28.5

    再現手順
    1.エリア内テキストを作成し下揃えに設定した上でテキストを入力する。
    2.任意の部分で改行を入力する。
    3.テキストは上に送られずにオーバーフローする。

    期待する結果
    上に十分な余白がある場合はテキストを上に送りオーバーフローさせない。

    実際の結果
    エリア内テキストに余白がある場合でもテキストの位置がそのまま保持されてオーバーフローを生じる。

    現状の対処方法
    当該エリア内テキストに対してストーリーの再計算が生じる処理（移動やカーニング・トラッキング調整等）を行うと正常な体裁に戻る。

    下揃えにした場合、途中の改行でもストーリー全体の再計算が必要になるのですが、上揃えと同様に改行以降の部分的な再計算だけが行われているように思います。
    また、これに気付かずにドキュメントを保存すると、次にドキュメントを開いて当該エリア内テキストを編集しようとした時に体裁が変化するために
    「このテキストは、別バージョンのIllustratorで作成されました。……」
    のアラートが表示されます。

  15. 保存後、再度開くと文字スタイルがリセットかつ適用できない箇所が一部発生

    文字スタイルの不具合が２点。
    いずれも、クラウドドキュメント（.aic）で保存したファイルを、次の日開いたら発生。

    1. 適用していた文字スタイル（標準文字スタイル）が解除され、再度どの文字スタイルを選択しても適用されない

    2. 適用していた文字スタイル（標準文字スタイル）の部分が文字化けし、設定していないフォントに書き換えられる

    正直、保存→ファイルを開くだけで、こんな不具合が出るのは非常に困ります。尚且つ、1.の再度文字スタイルが選べない = 復旧できないは致命的です。
    XDに近い、テキストスタイルはとても便利な機能なので、早急に安定活用できるよう改善お願いいたします。

    1. 選択箇所のように、サイズ10級にしていた箇所が、フォント種、サイズなどめちゃめちゃになり、スタイルの再設定もできない

    1. 1.と同様の「標準文字スタイル」箇所が勝手に他のフォントに設定され、尚且つ文字化けを起こしている

  16. Illustrator 28.4 does not preserve SVG object hierarchy

    Starting with Illustrator 28.4, the object hierarchy is not preserved when saving and re-opening an SVG file. Many groups are created for no apparent reason.

    This makes Illustrator completely impractical for editing SVG files. I will have to stay at 28.3 until this error is fixed.

  18. Holding Shift (or Ctrl) to move RGB sliders together in Color panel doesn’t work when color is white

    A Help article on Color panel states we can hold Shift (also works for Ctrl, although unspecified there) to move color channels’ sliders 'in tandem', together, — http://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/default-keyboard-shortcuts.html#keys_for_the_color_panel

    This indeed works, in both RGB and CMYK modes (not in HSB, since its values won’t benefit from it).

    However, if all three RGB sliders are at 255/100% (white), this mode doesn’t work — please see the GIF attached.

    It probably makes sense for CMYK, where it’s not clear if 0-0-0-0 should become something like 24-24-24-24, but it totally makes sense for RGB, where we expect to get a gray color.

  19. Rounding to integer or transform panel is broken after update to 29.0.1 from 28.X

    Rounding to integer or transform panel is broken (when using arrow keys to correct size of path with locked aspect ratio) after update to 29.0.1 from 28.X.

    Steps to Reproduce

    1.  Create a new path or use an existing one.
2.  Open the Control/Transform panel.
3.  With the Constrain Proportions option enabled, use the arrow keys to adjust the Width (W) or Height (H) value.

    Expected Result: Proportions remain consistent as values are adjusted.

    Actual Result: Proportions either change unexpectedly or the values jump to different numbers.

  20. Scale percentages are not consistent for images.

    When placing a file without changing the scale, the links panel should display 100%.
    It does that for Linked Tiff (and PSD) files, but displays a scale percentage (that depends on the resolution) for JPEG and PNG files.
    When images are Embedded, a scale percentage is shown, where a resolution of 72 ppi is shown as 100% and smaller percentages for higher resolutions.
    When images are just placed 100% should be shown, they are not scaled and their size reflects their resolution.
