1. Swatch Panel is not adjustable

   Since the new update, the Swatch panel cannot be adjusted and so I cannot have all of my panels open at the same time now. If I expand the color panel, I have to sacrifice another panel to be shrunk. I used to be able to take away the empty space under the swatch area which gave more room for the other panels to be open.

   Win 11 and current vs of AI.

2. Eyedropper - Alt Clicking Text to Text Doesn't Apply Stylings

   Windows 10 Pro 22H2 19045.6456
   Illustrator 30.4 (64-bit)

   When text object 1 is selected, using the Eyedropper tool and holding Alt to left click onto text object 2 (to apply the font style color paragraph style etc.), doesn't apply the stylings of text object 1 at all.

   It does 1 of 2 things I found:
   1) it's applying the text stylings of whatever current text settings are visible from the Character panel plus it will also apply no fill/stroke color to the text.
   2) it will literally do nothing and no change happens, no matter how much you spam alt left click onto text object 2.

   I've opened new .ai files to test and it keeps happening.

   Yes I've checked eyedropper settings and all the boxes are enabled.

   Windows 10 Pro 22H2 19045.6456
   Illustrator 30.4 (64-bit)

3. Rotating circle object stops visually showing at certain angles

   After a certain threshold, circle shaped objects seem to not want to visually show rotation using the corner tool. This only seems to be a problem on ellipses as all other shape types seem to not have the issue.

   The shapes still rotate, but they seem to not show after some random amount of rotation. Using ver 30.4. I know the screenshot sucks, but let me know if you need a video or anything else to help

4. Artboard Names Not Showing

   A bulk of the artboards are showing the names, but several only show the number. Upon double clicking the artboard title, it appears only 1 character is visible at a time, but the artboard is indeed properly titled.

   Illustrator CC 30.3 on AppleM2 Pro Mac Mini.

5. "Could not complete Package" after Tahoe upgrade

   After upgrading to macOS Tahoe 26.0, Illustrator (latest version) is unable to Package a file that has links located on a network drive.

   The fix has been pushed into the latest 30.3 general release. Please update, check, and comment back if it still happens.

6. Version 30.3 Simulate Colored Paper causes white fill to render transparent and objects off the artboard dimmed

   Revert to how it was before the latest update — where white filled objects appear white on screen and objects on the pasteboard look normal when using "simulate colored paper"

   (this happened on macOS Tahoe 26.4.1)

7. Palette Redéfinir les couleurs qui se ferme toute seule au moindre clic

   Bonjour. J'ai ce soucis depuis un moment.
   Lorsque j'ouvre la palette de modification de couleur ''Redéfinir les couleurs'' qui se trouve dans Edition/Modification des couleurs/Redéfinir les couleurs de l'illustration... dès lors que je clique sur les cercles pour les déplacer et changer la couleur, la palette disparaît. J'ai beau recommencer, dès que je touche les cercles, la palette se ferme. Impossible donc de changer les couleurs de l'illustration.
   La video en pièce jointe est très explicite.

   Si vous avez une solution, je suis preneur.

9. Swatches panel not correctly displaying "Registration Black" swatch label, showing random characters, in a template file

   Opening up a company template .ait file and Swatches panel not displaying "Registration Black", but instead showing random characters. Wanted to know cause, if can be prevented, and/or corrected. Also if this is just some odd bug.

   We do have a central server location to access file since we do have in-office and remote workers. Everyone is instructed though regardless of location to grab files and work locally, but can not guarantee that this is done 100% of the time.

   PC - Windows 11
   Illustrator v28.7.10
   Illustrator v30.2.1 - also check on another system

10. Paragraph and Character Styles that have been deleted reappear when document is saved.

    After a paragraph or character style is deleted and you save the document the styles reappear.

    Expected to be fixed in Beta 30.2 — please check if it works there as expected.

11. (Bug) Alignment buttons go into hiding when selecting more than one object

    When selecting a single object, the Alignment buttons appear on the top UI bar. But select MORE THAN ONE object, the Alignment buttons disappear.

    Now I have to click on the "Align" flyout menu and click an option from there in order to align 2 objects, because my UI shows more blank space and fewer features than before.

12. Pattern Scale Not Working

    My pattern scale has stopped working recently for user created patterns (it works ok on the default patterns). Previously I could create a pattern but dragging into the swatch menu, and then when I dragged the corners, the scale of the pattern would adjust along with the size of my shape. Now it does not.

    I have checked that "Transform Both (object and pattern)" is selected from the Transform Panel dropdown, along with Settings > General > Transform Pattern Tiles is also checked on.

    This has been going on since late July 2025 - I've tried every troubleshooting method I can think of along with suggestions I've seen posted. This morning I reset my illustrator preferences (didn't work) and just unstalled and reinstalled Illustrator via Creative Cloud (fulling removing preferences during uninstall). It is still not working after the reinstall.

    Please help! This is a large part of my workflow that's affected. The ONLY way I can get a pattern to scale now is through cmd+click on object > Transform > Scale - which is cumbersome. Is there anything else I can try to reinstate the normal pattern scaling?

13. Severe selection lag on direct click (Marquee selection works fine) - Illustrator 30.3 - macOS Tahoe (M4)

    Hi everyone,

    I am experiencing a critical issue that is completely breaking my workflow in Adobe Illustrator, and I suspect it might be a specific bug in the latest version or a compatibility issue with the new hardware/OS.

    The Problem:
    Whenever I try to select any element by clicking directly on it, the program takes a long time to react, select the object, and display the bounding box (the resizing and rotation handles). This delay makes it impossible to work efficiently or even copy/paste quickly.

    The strange part is that if I select the object by dragging the cursor (marquee/area selection), the response is immediate and works perfectly. The lag only happens with a direct click on the object.

    My Suspicions:
    Given that my hardware is very powerful, I suspect the bottleneck is related to the rendering of the new rotation properties on the bounding box or the background calculations of the Generative AI Contextual Taskbar that trigger upon selection.

    My System Specs:

    Computer: Mac mini (2024)

    Chip: Apple M4

    Memory: 24 GB RAM

    OS: macOS Tahoe 26.4.1

    Illustrator Version: 30.3

    What I have already tried (without success):
    To save time, here is a list of everything I have already tested, and none of these solved the issue:

    Disabling GPU Performance.

    Disabling Smart Guides (Cmd + U).

    Hiding the Contextual Taskbar.

    Adjusting Selection Tolerance and disabling "Object Selection by Path Only".

    Closing the Properties Panel while working.

    Hiding the Bounding Box (Cmd + Shift + B).

    Resetting Illustrator Preferences to factory defaults.

    I am attaching a video where you can clearly see the difference between the slow selection (direct click) and the fast response (marquee selection).

    Is anyone else using an M4 chip or macOS Tahoe experiencing this selection bug? Any help or workaround would be greatly appreciated.

14. Significant issues when outlining a file for production / Color of text becomes mixed [?] while Appearance shows None for fill color

    When outing a full packaging layout for print production, text blocks turn solid (not text), editable compound shapes (shapes with text in them) turn solid, sometimes the whole layout disappears - I cannot find a common issue for these things and seems somewhat random. This never happened before the V29 update and is causing significant rework and extra steps in the file production process.

16. 文字パネル側の「フォント名を英語で表記」設定が正常動作していない

    Windows 11 25H2
    Illustrator 30.1

    文字パネルにある「フォント名を英語で表記」にチェックを入れても、すべてが英語名で表記されず、日本語のまま残る部分があります。
    この状態で環境設定を確認すると、同名の設定では設定がONになっています。

    環境設定で設定をONにした場合は正常に英語表記されます。
    （ただし文字パネルでONにした状態で、環境設定を開き、そのままOFF・ONにした場合だと変わらず）

    Even when checking “Display font names in English” in the Character panel, not all names are displayed in English; some remain in Japanese.
    Checking the preferences in this state shows the setting is ON for the corresponding option.

    If you turn the setting ON in the Preferences, it displays correctly in English.
    (However, if you have it ON in the Character panel, open the Preferences, and then toggle it OFF and back ON, it remains unchanged.)

17. Pasting an object with perceptual gradient applied expands it and converts into an image

    1. Create a rectangle and fill it with a gradient (liner/radial)
    2. In the gradient panel, change the method from Classic to Perceptual
    3. Copy the object
    4. Paste the object

    Check the Appearance panel — it’d show the object is now an image, with the original perceptual fill tucked under the pixels!
    And if the object had a stroke, it becomes a group with a stroke in it separated.

    This issue is reportedly fixed in the latest Beta 30.3.126 build.

    Kindly update (or install) to verify the fix making it behave as expected, to allow the team to safely push it into the next general build.

18. Moving a part of a blend with any Selection tool makes it move faster than expected

    In 29.7.1 (and Beta 29.9.0.6) when I move one object in a blend with any selection tool, inside or outside of isolation, it moves twice as much.

    Moving an object within blend now works as expected.

19. Artboard Width & Height inputs vanished from the top Control panel / bar

    Input fields to resize artboards were removed from upper tool bar. PUT IT BACK.
    Now to access the width and height you must go to the Properties panel. Why are we making extra steps? Fix this

20. Cutting off bottom of page when printing

    Fix the problem of cutting off the bottom of the page when I print with Illustrator. I can save the document as a PDF and print it fine with preview, but Illustrator cuts off part of the bottom of the print. It has the incorrect print border. So stupid.
