  1. paths missing in export

    When exporting a vector image, some of the paths in my pattern fill are disappearing. It's weird because on the export panel it shows up fine, but when actually exported the paths are missing.

  2. Removed a middle anchor, then an infinite long "handle line" caused the file and the recovery file to crash AI

    I placed a line with 3 anchors, removed the middle anchor.
    Then AI created automatically an infinite long handle from one of the remaining anchor points.
    I coudln´t save the file, it crashed immediately and the recover file got the same bug, so I couldn´t even save the recovery file. the whole infected file is lost completely. (I lost 6 hours of work because of this bug).

  3. AI2Key plugin not showing when exporting

    Using Mac OS Big Sur 11.2, on an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), 4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4 GB

    The option to export Illustrator files to Keynote files: File > Export > Export as... doesn't show the Keynote file Option any more. I am using the plugin created by Christian Holz – @cholz – for over 5 years but it doesn't show up since the last updated of Illustrator a couple of weeks ago and it last update v.25.1 from yesterday didn't fix it.   4. Package in Illustrator 2021 not copying fonts - Windows 10

    The package functionnality in Illustrator 2021 does not copy the fonts to the package folder. The report doesn't display any error.
    The same job was packaged on Mac and worked fine.

  5. type tool is fundamentally broken.

    Why did you f up the type tool?? It, like almost everything else in Illustrator, doesn't work as good as it did a few versions back. I don't mind you making changes, but when it starts to impede productivity, it's a problem. I hate this program now. HATE. It's a buggy, aggravating, and just does not work seamlessly as it once did.

    With the type tool, I have issues placing the cursor in the type. if I use the hand tool in conjunction with the type tool, it overrides the hand tool and starts adding spaces. Neve been a problem…

  6. clipboard copy bug

    I have iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019), the latest OS BigSur 11.2, memory 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, video card Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB. The latest regularly updated version of Illustrator (25.1) and since last year or some I noticed that once in a while there were problems with clipboard memory. Whenever you copy or just select some object on artboard, immediately you get a garbled text box pasted. Very nasty, and after the latest update it has gotten considerably worse. Now I literally cannot simultaneously select several objects without having this garbled block pasted. So I cannot align…

  7. Masque Illustrator

    Bonjour,
    Jusqu'à présent quand on créait un masque sur un objet, la visualisation se faisait en temps réelle. Je travaillais sur le masque de l'objet et je voyais le résultat. Maintenant je dois obligatoirement passer par la visualisation (option clic sur le masque) puis revenir sur l'objet pour voir le résultat de mon masque.
    Autant dire que cela limite grandement son utilisation.
    Du coup je suis revenu à la version 2020 qui fonctionne très bien.
    Config système dans le fichier joint.

  8. long file names

    If the file name is too long for Windows 10, no error message is generated but the file is not saved.

    Interestingly, the thumbnail on the Home page for AI shows the final version of the artwork, but clicking on it opens the last one actually saved instead. I didn't know what had happened and closed/reopened AI to get AI to open the correct file, then saw the file did not actually exist.

    I was able to recover my work because the last 3 tmp files were not removed, so I renamed the extensions to "ai" and got my work…

  9. Adobe Fonts Agenda Light not appearing in font menus

    I've downloaded and activated the Agenda typeface family - 54 fonts.

    Adobe Fonts website indicates this. The 'Find More' font menu within Illustrator indicates this. Extensis Suitcase Fusion indicates this.

    However, only 53 fonts appear in application menus, Agenda Light is not available even though Adobe Fonts and Suitcase Fusion indicate it is.

    I've restarted apps and rebooted my computer, Agenda Light is more evasive than Big Foot.

    I've contacted support at Extensis to see if it is a Suitcase Fusion issue and/or if it is Adobe's issue.

  10. Smart Guides snaps to document origin

    iMac 5K 2019, OS X 10.16
    3.6 GHz 8-Core i9
    32 GB DDR4

    Illustrator 25.1

    Moving an item or group while working outside of artboard causes snapping effect where group snaps to bottom left corner of artboard instead of moving smoothly from original position. This occurs when Smart Guides are turned on. Turning off Smart Guides seems to return to expected behaviour.

  11. Copy/paste elements from Illustrator to Keynot

    I just bought the new Mac Book Air and I’m desperatly trying to copy-paste elements from Illustrator to Keynote and it’s not working. I never had this problem before doing that.

  12. Text tool crashes version 25.x

    In version 25.0x and later, every time I draw a text box, Illustrator hangs. After it catches up with itself, I'm left with a text box that I can't access -- if I click on it, Illustrator hangs again. It's unusable.

    I had to uninstall and go back to 24.3.

  13. Additional Plug-ins folder preference ignored

    On Macos X with Adobe Illustrator CC 2021 (25.1), the preference "Additional Plug-ins Folder" in the Plug-ins & Scratch Disks section is not handled correctly.
    When I'm trying to change it, this preference is not set when the application is restarted. The option is enabled but the path is empty.
    This behaviour prevents Illustrator to load my plug-ins

  14. "View using GPU" greyed out since Illustrator 2021

    Since we have updated to Illustrator 2021, on one of our machines (Mac mini 2018) "View unsing GPU" (CMD+E) is greyed out and can’t be activated. GPU IS activated in the Illustrator Preferences! Using Illustrator 2020, this function works as usual.

    An other glitch, that we noticed on both of our machines (the 2018 mini and a 2019 iMac): When opening a document in Illustrator 2021, the window turns black for a moment until the document is shown. This does not really cause any problems, it is just strange and does not occure with Illustrator 2020.

  16. Erratic Behaviour When Selecting Large Amounts of Outlined Text

    When I select large amounts of outlined copy - 200+ words - all of a sudden my screen display is very erratic (see attached images - these are all shot from the same file it flickers like that until I deselect the copy).

    This has not happened in the past (this is something I have been doing on a regular basis for almost eight years now).

    The text is all outlined. The document size is 38x58 inches. It happens with or without layers (the document has 3 layers and the art is on the bottom layer).

  17. UI Glitches, but can still edit and save project

    Sometimes when I'm working the UI in illustrator CC 2021 will glitch out and cease to work. However, keyboard shortcuts & saving the file still works. Usually when this happens I just save, close and re-open my file and it goes away, but it can be annoying.

    I'm running the most recent version of illustrator with a Ryzen 5 3600X, 16gb of ram, and a GTX 1660 Super graphics Card.

  18. Filename Underscore Bug

    Since updating to 25.1, each time I print to our Flexrip, an underscore is added to the filename. It appears as "_Filename" after ripping.

  19. Learn tab prompt covers necessary tabs

    I hate the learn tab with the fire of 1000 suns and I long for the sweet release of death to keep me from seeing this prompt I have no ability to disable.

    Every time I start Illustrator I get this prompt to use the Learn tab. I don't want to use the Learn tab, I have work to do and this prompt covers important parts of the interface that I need to do my job.

    There's no affordance to turn it off, the links just open a tab I do not want. It take 3 click to dismiss it…

  20. Buffer memory glitch

    I have iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) running the latest BigSur 11.1, Illustrator the latest version 25.1. For the last year or so I was upset by glitches while working with complex shapes. In recent weeks it became so severe as to stop my work completely. Whenever I copy an object, especially several objects, it immediately pastes a text block with gibberish. I turned off "including SVG code" in clipboard handling option yesterday and it helped for some time, now it came back with full force.
