Moving artboard with locked layers prompt warning
In 24.1, every time I move the artboard with my layers locked, I get the warning: "Any hidden or locked objects in the artboard will not be moved." EVERY TIME!
There is no "Don't show me this again" option and I am constantly adjusting artboards to fit customer's artwork.17 votes -
After redo is different from before undo
The reproduction procedure is as follows.
1. Create a point text containing two or more paragraphs
2. Change the transformation reference point to a position other than the default position
3. Transform it with the scaling toolAt this point, remember the state of the artboard.
Undo (command + Z) once.
Then redo (command + shift + Z).
It should be different from before undo.I feel very threatened because I often do this by hand.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Blend tool with Freeform Gradients does not working properly
Blend tool not working with shapes that contain gradients. (preview box is greyed out as well)
It won't work from the start with shapes that already contain gradients and only produces black shapes and an error message when the color is applied after making the blend.17 votes -
Panels don't open with Application Frame turned off
On MacOS, when Application Frame is turned off, and Window panels (ex: Layers, Artboards, Swatches, etc.) are condensed, the Window panels will not appear when clicked on. They only work if Application Frame is on.

Gradient tool issues
Handles on on object's Gradient Annotator are difficult to adjust once a gradient has been dropped. Usually, handles simply don't respond. User needs to start from scratch and create a brand new gradient rather than make small adjustments to existing ones.
Repeated but not consistent bug: adjusting one gradient causes changes to unrelated gradients on same document.
Live preview of gradient tool is prohibitively slow, esp when gradient is anywhere near an existing Effect.
FIX: Allow us to toggle the preview effect.

Workspaces not working, all panels hidden on start up.
Just update to CC23.0.1 and when I start up Illustrator all the panels are turned off and my workspace won't change or reset.
I can turn on the panels manually, but it resets when I close Illustrator. The reset, new workspace and manage workspaces options are greyed out. If I try to change the workspace nothing happens.

Mesh objects don't get selected when only edge is marqueed
All paths in AI get selected when you draw a marque over their edge (with no points inside selection). Segment got selected. It is fine.
But mesh objects are immune to edge marqueing, because there is no 'segment' thing for a mesh. WHY? Why don't you make the same thing as it's done for paths? Just select seam between mesh points and allow to move both points adjacent when seam is 'selected'.

Gradient angle got reset to zero, when using Color Picker

1. Create path
2. Apply gradient
3. Change gradient angle
4. Select gradient stop
5. Double-click Fill in toolbox to open Color picker
6. Choose any OTHER color

Freeze on First File Opened if it has Missing Fonts
Illustrator CC version 22.1
OS: Windows 10 Pro, version 18031) Launch Illustrator
2) Open Ai file
3) If the first file I open after launching Ai has missing fonts the program freezes before it populates the missing fonts dialogue box. I have to force quit the application from task manager and relaunch.Any subsequent files that are opened after the first file do not have this issue regardless of missing fonts. Brush won't change to basic
When drawing in cc 2018 on macOS High Sierra version 10.13.4. Program will not allow me to select basic brush. it defaults to 3pt round or a bristle brush. If I delete that brush it won't allow to draw anything. Need to restart and still won't allow me to select basic brush.

Eyedropper picks wrong color from vector art placed behind transparent image (with Shift)
I have in image on isolated transparent backround, in CMYK, with no profiles.
It covers some art. I want to apply color of underlying art to another object. I pick Eyedropper tool and pick color from bottom art, holding Shift, clicking through transparent parts of my image.
AI picks wrong color, with fractions and dirty channels.
this is related to color picking in CMYK document from real CMYK values of an image, which AI fails to do. Again, I think AI should pick REAL color.17 votes -
Pathfinder works wrong
I have an ellipse with radial fill and I want it to be partially cropped by rectangle.
I select both rectangle with no fill, intersecting my circle, and apply Divide from Pathfinder.
I expect middle part to have gradient, positioned as uncut circle, but it becomes clear.
If i swap order of these objects, middle part has gradient, but AI resets it's position.

iMac 5k 2017 w/ Radeon Pro 580 - Illustrator very slow on GPU preview

iMac 5k 2017 w/ i5 3,8Ghz - 16Gb RAM - 2TB Fusion - Radeon Pro 580
All the file (also a very little file) is slow on movement, on move object and run with shot and NOT fluid. Slow on select object or shape or everything on file.
The same file opened on a "slow and old" MacMini with the same configuration and the same macOS is not slow and the movement is very fluid.

Using Color Mixer in Control panel for stroke changes the color of the fill instead
I encountered this problem as seen in the GIF.
Selecting a stroke or fill from the control bar menu changes the active appearance. When using sliders, it doesn't. i have tested on different Windows 11 machines and different documents. Replicated the issue every time.

PDFの表示とIllustrator上での表示が同じになる。Illustrator上でのグループの構造の違いがIllustrator上のレンダリング結果とPDF書き出し結果で相違が生じています。1でのグループの抜きのチェックを外したグループではIllustrator上ではグループ内ので抜き処理を行わず合成モードの処理を行います。これがPDFを書き出した際にグループの抜きと解釈され、全てがノックアウトされた状態でPDFが作成されます。どちらが正しいかという事は難しいのですが、グループに設定されたノックアウトを拒否する設定をPDF書き出し時にも有効にするほうが表現の幅が拡がるように思います。

XMPMeta is not defined on ILST 28.7.1 on MacOS #515
As of ILST 28.7.1 on MacOS, XMPMeta has stopped working. However, it works fine on:
- ILST 28.7.1 on Windows
- ILST 28.6 on MacOsThe issue also exists on ILST (Beta) 29.1 on MacOs.

Group Selection and Selection Tool move individual points and handles
When using the Group selection tool, I highlight an object by clicking it and then try and move it. Rather than moving the object highlighted, the tool selects a single point - grabs it - and I move that single point instead. This often leads to a crash of the application.
16 votesThe solution to this problem is to disable the dedicated 'Show handles when multiple anchors are selected' option in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display.
Usually it is off by default and does not interfere.
However, when it’s enabled, Illustrator displays all handles for all selected art when Group Selection tool is used, and it can lead to accidental handle changes when moving the art.
If you have it disabled but still have problems — please comment back.

ver.22以降（確認できた範囲）
macOS 10.13〜11.6.7（確認できた範囲）縦組みのテキストに対して「アキを挿入（右・下）」を設定した上で水平比率を操作するとその比率に応じてアキ量が変化する。
- テキストツールにて縦組みテキストを入力する。
- 文字パネルにて「アキを挿入（右・下）」を設定する。 3.. 当該テキストに対して水平比率を設定する。
- 文字の縦幅は変わらないがアキ量が水平比率に比例して増減する。
期待する結果
縦組みのアキ量は水平比率の影響を受けない。実際の結果
縦組みのアキ量設が水平比率の値によって変化する。回避手段
アキ量設定を使わずにトラッキングによる調整を行う。これは単純なバグです。縦組み時に水平比率を調整しても文字の天地は変化しません。しかし、アキ量（上・左）、アキを挿入（右・下）ともに水平比率の値の影響を受けます。横組みと縦組みを同様に処理していると考えられます。

Ai crashes (hangs) after installing (and selecting) Google Noto Color Emoji font!
Since Ps has added NCE (Noto Color Emoji) font, Ai doesn't recognize it! I downloaded the font from GFont (NCE v2.038). After installing (for "All users"), whenever I select the NCE font in Ps or Ai, those apps crash (hang)!
If I uninstall the font (which I downloaded from GFont, not the Ps native installed one) and reinstall Ps, the font works OK, but again it doesn't appear in the Ai font list!
