Precision touchpad scroll jittering
On my XPS 13 9360, I am having issues when scrolling horizontally or vertically. The scrolling is not fluid; when scrolling at low speeds, the canvas actually scrolls the incorrect direction. This is present in dropdown menus as well. It seems like there are two scrolling actions that are fighting each other, but I am not sure.

Error using picas
This error has existed in Illustrator since at least version 10, in 2001.
Switch units to Picas in Preferences > Units… or by right-clicking in the ruler and selecting Picas.
Select any object.
Go to Object > Transform > Move…
Enter a negative value higher than -1p0. e.g. -0p9.
Watch as the value is converted to a positive and the object moves to the right, or don, not to the left or up.
In earlier versions of Illustrator this bug exited across the application in any dialogue that excepted a distance, including Offset Path, Effect > Convert to Shape (using relative values), and of course the previously mentioned Move. The bug appears to be partially fixed. Offset Path (both as an effect and in the Object menu) now works, but Convert to Shape and Move are still broken.

Dialog windows don’t fit into a small screen, buttons at the bottom are inaccessible
On Windows 10, using 2 screens.
The dialog boxes for Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver display far larger than the window, meaning I'm unable to reach most of the options.6 votes -

Object stays selected in a locked layer
Objects remain selected when I move them into a non-visible group/layer and lock the group/layer. It is not possible to deselect the object until you unlock and make visible the group. So far I've been able to recreate the problem every time I've tried.

Units in AI 2018 not functioning properly
The new update to Illustrator, 2018, seems to be having issues with files made in previous versions of Illustrator, as of 10/19/17. I'm having trouble setting the Units. When I try to set my rulers to inches, they seem to remain at points - even the properties pallet.
Although, I just reinstalled 2017 (on 10/20/17) because of these bugs and when I launched the AI app from the CC app, it launched the 2018 version (since I had not yet uninstalled it). When I checked again, this issue seems to have been resolved since yesterday. I kept double checking and I was definitely working in 2018. I thought this may have been remedied because I saved my previous file in 2018, then reopened it in 2018. However, when double checking the original file made in a previous version, the rulers were now working in 2018. I still plan to uninstall 2018 while Adobe works through similar bugs, but it is great to see how fast your teams are responding and fixing these issues. Thanks Adobe! I will check back in on the 2018 AI product in a couple of months and give it another try :)

Illustrator CC 2017 crashes computer on macOS 10.13 High Sierra
I didn't know there were serious compatibility issues between Adobe CC and macOS 10.13 High Sierra until after I upgraded.
Within seconds of launching Illustrator it freezes my entire machine and my only option is a hard reboot.
Please provide a status update on when this issue will be fixed. I rely on CC for my job and will have to migrate back to 10.12 Sierra in the interim.

Pathfinder Trim with Gradients does Divide instead
Version: Any
Steps taken: Make a file with a gradient fill on top of an object with a solid fill. Apply Pathfinder Trim.
Expected result: Object underneath gradient object is removed while gradient object stays as one solid object.
Actual result: Gradient object is cut and solid object remains underneath.
Video: https://youtu.be/6_kRG7MHCt4
Further comments: When using pathfinder in Illustrator to trim objects that contain a gradient the objects underneath do not get removed as they should and instead appear to be divided. This seems to be an issue with how Illustrator makes gradient as if overprint fill was applied to the object. The workaround is to put a solid color underneath or apply the gradient as a fill in the appearance panel instead of using the tool bar, but that is not an intuitive way to design.

Cannot open multiple files
- Version 21.1.0 (windows)
- Selecting multiple files, right clicking to open all files
- Expected results that all files open the same way I have been opening files for years.
- Only one file opens and locks illustrator, need to close out program through task manager, restart computer and that sometimes fixes the issue. If not I have to uninstall and reinstall illustrator and that fixes the issue for a day or two.

Zooming malfunction when switching between windows.
This occurs when I have multiple documents open in tabs. When I switch between tabs and scroll to zoom, it zooms in the previously opened tab, but not the current one. If I click within the document, then I can start zooming normally again.

Decimal point massive problems (AI CC 2017.1.0 macOS 10.12.6)
I’ve documented the issue here:
this problem has been discussed ad nauseam on the forum, but it still persists: AI 2017.1.0 on macOS 10.12.6 still has massive problems with handling of the decimal comma vs. point. On my system (macOS 10.12.6), all dialog boxes within Illustrator display numbers with decimal commas, but any operation (such as moving an item with cursor keys or using the cursor Up or Down keys within text boxes) makes the values multiply by 100 and then "explode".
When I start a new document, the Width textbox of the page says "210,00 mm". If I click into the textbox and use the Up key, I’d expect the number to become 211,00 mm, but instead, it gets treated as 21000, so it probably becomes 21001 and then gets truncated to 5779,56 mm (because for whatever reason, Illustrator won’t allow me to design a document larger than 5.7 meters wide, but that’s another issue). Then, the same problems persist in the Transform palette, the top control palette and pretty much everywhere. Also, because of that, trying to move items with the cursor keys result them to instantly jump off the screen (because if their X position is 300,00 mm, and I press the Right key to move them, they end up at 30001,00 or somewhere such.
Illustrator accepts keyboard input of numbers with a decimal point only (200.5) but those inputs get instantly converted into commas (200,50 mm). When I input a number with a comma (200,5) that number becomes 20050,00 mm. And all **** breaks loose.
This problem has been reported AGAIN and AGAIN, but seemingly nothing happens.
This problem does not exist in other apps, including other Adobe apps like Photoshop or InDesign — only in Illustrator.
I removed ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator 21 Settings and ~/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.illustrator.plist
I uninstalled Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 and installed it again.
I even switched the app language — previously, I had the English (Arabic) version of AI (enAR) installed and now I’ve installed the English (International) (enGB).
This all doesn’t help.

Right Click does not work
This is not an idea, it is a bug complaint! My right click does not work on Illustrator on anything. I just downloaded the latest version of Adobe Illustrator Version 2017 21.1.0 in hopes to correct the "right clicking" issue that was in my older version (version prior to 21.1.0). I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program and the same problem still persist. My right click does not work! This is slowing down my work and it's definitely not time efficient. Help me fix this now!
6 votesHi,

Blue share circle is misplaced under the icon
This blue circle is very distracting and It just looks super weird. I don't know if you guys purposely did this or if it's a UI glitch with the latest update, but if you guys can get this fixed asap it would be helpful. It's SUPER distracting while trying to focus in on work.
5 votesClaimed to be fixed in the latest 30.3 general release. Please update, check, and comment back if it still happens.

unchecking "use document bleed settings" box in "Save Adobe PDF" does not remove the bleed from the saved file.
version illustrator 30.1
windows 11
issue also replicated on illustrator 30.0 on a mac
1: create new document with some amount of bleed in "document setup"
2: save as .pdf will bring up "Save Adobe PDF" Dialog
3: uncheck "use document bleed settings" box and save the .pdf
4: open document saved in step 3, it still has the document bleeds that should have been removed by unchecking the "use document bleed settings" boxthe print dialog box also has the use document bleed settings check box, it works correctly when I print to a .pdf file with the "use document bleed settings" box unchecked

All fonts disappeared in Font Explorer list
I work on PC with the latest version of Illustrator, version 30.1. None of my fonts show in the drop-down menu. I've deleted and reinstalled Illustrator, deactivated and reactivated the auto-activate Adobe fonts option, checked whether Adobe fonts are synced through the Creative Cloud App. Nothing seems to work, while they work fine on Photoshop and InDesign. The only way I can use a font is by using the Eyedropper tool on an already existing body of text. How do I fix this? Please help!

Zoom in and out is slow
In the last version of Illustrator (30.0 on Windows 11), the zoom (mouse, keyboard) does not work appropriately (very slow), making the use of the software almost impossible. This bug was not existing in former version (29.x). Unticking graphics acceleration in parameters panel makes it even worse.
My config: Windows 11 (French), Intel I9, 32Gbytes of RAM, NVidia Geforce 4080 (581.29)
Please solve rapidly this bug.5 votes -
Tilde key for transforming patterns moves the whole shape instead of the fill clipped to it
Holding down the tilde key ~ when direct selecting a pattern filled object used to give you the option to interactively transform the pattern inside the object. It would override the transform settings for patterns and give you a live preview when transforming (move/scale/rotate) the pattern only.
This behaves different when moving the pattern in the 2025 and 2026 versions. It will move the object and the pattern and snap the object back when the mouse is released.
