  1. GPU Performance Glitches Still Not Fixed!! 2021

    GPU Performance glitches have been constantly and extremely annoying while displaying many files, it shows weird patterns from the same opened file overlaying the designs, and they randomly change and break while zooming in and out, sometimes I can't see how my design looks like because of these glitches, it is so serious, it makes the app sometimes next to useless!!

    Please, this problem has been there for a long, please fix, please fix

    I have tried the same files on 2 different machines, same issue

    macOS Big Sur
    RAM 32

  2. Import SVG, crashing illustrator

    I'm on MAC and I'm using the latest versin of Illustrator 25.3.1 and when i import an svg (who come Adobe XD), illustrator do not respond and crash.

  3. Can't modify brush size neither use basic stroke

    Every time I try to use brush with any size, it makes 1pt strokes. And when I try to use basic brush, it makes other strokes like caligraphic or caracoal.

    I already closed the program and opened it again but doesnt work.

  4. Copy/paste SVG missing closing > bracket

    Illustrator 25.3.1 64 bit Windows 10 v21H1

    Copy/Paste in this version is now missing ending ">" closing bracket noticeably when pasting as svg directly into text based editor such as vscode or notepad.

    Example:
    <svg id="Layer_1" data-name="Layer 1" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewBox="0 0 432 432"><rect width="432" height="432"/></svg

    *note the missing greater than closing bracket. This has to be added manually on every copy/paste to editor.

  5. Font Missing from Library Asset: Infinite Loop

    I tried to place an asset from Materials Library. A dialogue warns of a missing font, but I cannot recover from this as it infinitely appears with no option to cancel the attempt to place the asset.

    There really needs to be a way to recover from errors / faults, UX 101, had to use Program Manager to kill processes.

  6. Not Saving work, freezing and deleting progress

    I am taking a class and saved my project to the cloud to work on in the next class. The following day, I opened my file, and it froze. I had to close Illustrator and reopen it. When I did, my file was no longer in my cloud, or saved anywhere else. It literally deleted my file and I have to redo my project before I can attend my next class. Thankfully the class is recorded so I can take it at a later time. I hope this does not happen again. I know this has been happening to others…

  8. Same keyboard shortcut (Alt + C) for two different options in the Place dialog box

    In the Place dialog box two different options (Open Cloud Document and Replace) have the same shortcut — 'C' key. In both cases the 'C' letter in the option titles is underlined. See attached screenshot.

  9. Paste operation does not properly ignore the null termination character of ANSI string

    During a paste operation to the art board, the final null termination character of the clipboard is not ignored, but rendered as part of the string used to compse the text object.

    I'm attaching an image of the clipboard contents, and I made a video to show the behavior. Under Windows, simply copy the value from the color dialog box and then click the desktop and paste.

  10. Symbol transformation "Reset" button sometimes greyed out

    Illustrator 25.3.1 on MacOS Big Sur 11.4

    I have several instances of a Symbol on my Artboard, and each has been transformed.

    Some of these instances displays the "Reset" button when I select them, some others don't, and I have no choice but to use the Symbol panel. Why??!?

  11. Illustrator's Round Outline Bevel with Standard Lighting Causes Weird Shadow

    Added a custom "round outline" bevel with "standard" lighting and ended up with a weird shadow effect in the upper-right corner of the 'g' in this logo that I can't seem to get straightened out. It seems to be a bug in the overall process.

  12. App is crashing without saving the work

  13. DXF files not coming in to scale

    Catalina
    New Illustrator update 25.1 — DXF scaling is off, not correct.
    Original size nor does it work using 100% scaling import.
    Previous version no problem... DXF files come in to scale "original size"

  14. Unable to control third party applications with AppleScript

    This is essentially the same issue as https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/indesign-16-3-2-not-authorised-to-send-apple-events-to-other-apps/td-p/12312871 except for Illustrator.

    Illustrator is missing the NSAppleEventsUsageDescription key from its info.plist file. This prevents the system from asking permission from the user to send apple events from Illustrator.

    Mac OS 11.5.2
    Illustrator 25.4..1

    To recreate:

    in terminal
    tccutil reset AppleEvents com.adobe.illustrator

    save the following AppleScript and place in the scripts menu for illustrator.

    tell application "Finder"
    display dialog "test"
    end tell

    Expected result:
    dialog in finder

    Actual result:
    AppleScript error: Not authorized to send Apple events to Finder. (-1743)

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.3.1 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  15. Illustrator 2022 DOES NOT OPEN.

    This new Illustrator update DOES NOT WORK. Just installed the new 2022 update yesterday 11/01, and it worked for half the day, and in the second half, the app refused to open. Tried again this morning 11/02, and there was a small update to Illustrator, so in hopes of fixing the issue from yesterday, I installed the update, and guess what, still broken. I reinstalled the past version of Illustrator, and that doesn't work now either. I'm not telling you how to do your job Adobe, but for me to do my job, I need Illustrator to work. If you…

    This is embarrassing and incredibly sad to hear. I can’t imagine to be cut off a my main tool when I need it.
    I guess the only option you can try is to clean all the traces of previous versions installed with the Cleaner Tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html), install 2021 version and hope it work.
    So sorry it happened, and I wish I could do more.
    Please add votes to this if you experience the same issue, it will help to initiate a proper investigation.

  16. Bug on the All Caps (case) open type feature

    If the typeface uses GPOS in the "case" feature to relocate a glyph, Illustrator seems to ignore it. It is working well no InDesign and and Photoshop.
    So the "case" feature is broken for glyphs that reposition with GPOS.

  17. Inability to add graphics in libraries

    This is a bug. This is where Adobe informs me to report a bug. For the record this must be said right away.

    I made a library and could initially add graphics to that library, but all of a sudden graphics wouldn't add itself whether I dragged or specifically selected "add ...".

    It added an irrelevant fill color instead.

  18. Rendering with Noise Reduction enabled causes Illustrator crash

    Happens every single time. Disabling noise reduction fixes it. I am using an external GPU.

  19. Preview Pen tool line colour change

    In previous versions of illustrator the layer colour defined the preview colour line when using the pen tool. In recent versions the preview is automatically. Set to a dark blue colour and i can't work out how to change this.

    This tiny little change is causing me much grief, because in my artwork i draw on black shapes all the time and because the colour is dark blue, i can hardly make out what I'm drawing. I used to pick fluro pink, so I can easily see this line.

  20. Slow performance after selecting grouped layers

    2020 Intel Mac, MacOS 12.2, Illustrator 26.0.2
    Illustrator works fine until I multiple click, deep into an object layer. Once I see object properties the whole app starts to slow drastically. Scrolling, zooming, selecting objects are all delayed. The only solution is to restart the app and not accidentally click into the layers.
