2. Small enhancement for the new Global Edit Tool

   Hi there!

   I’m playing with this new feature on Illustrator 23, “Global Edit” and I find it absolutely fantastic.

   But, there is a small drawback when you are editing an object: once your are in “Global Edit Mode”, when you change to White Arrow (Direct Selection Tool) to modify some individual component of your original object, lot of times you need to firstly UNSELECT ALL just to be able to select some individual point/s to edit (in order to see that edition being cloned along all similar objects interactively).

   And here comes the problem: once you unselect all with the White Arrow in your original object, then your “Global Edition Session” finish, and no matter you select a single point in your original object to be moved, those changes no more are translated to the similar objects.

   The first workaround for this is to NEVER “unselect all” in your original object, using the White Arrow, and maintain at least a single selected point. Then you can combine SHIFT+White Arrow to select/unselect what you need, in order to be modified and to see all those changes reflected in the similar object. But this method can be unnecesarely convoluted…

   Another workaround is to use “Isolate Selected Object” just after pressing “Start Global Edit”, in order to manipulate those individual points/curves in your original object using the White Arrow. The problem with this second workaround is that being in “Isolated Mode”, then our changes are not interactive or “real time”. We need to exit from that Isolated Mode in order to see all our changes being propagated to similar objects…

   What I would like to see is that once we press “Start Global Edit”, we could change to White Arrow, and we could unselect all, and then we could start to edit all those points, curves and tangents in our original object. This would we much more elegant and direct IMHO.

   I use ASUS Gl553vd laptop with updated win 10. It has onboard gpu intel and addon gpu nvidia 1050. I have updated both drivers from asus website.
   I’m experiencing screen brightness flicker means brightness goes high and low inside the document window of AI as well as PS.
   It was same in 2018 versions of AI and PS and the problem is still there in 2019 versions. I’m not getting where the exact issue is.
   Is it with AI and Ps not able to run on hybrid gpu or gpu driver problem. But if I install drivers from nvidia directly software crashes.

4. Gradients Swatch Box Snaps Back

   When expanding the box to see your gradient fill it immediately snaps back to the letterbox default. I cannot gauge the color gradients very well without enlarging the viewable gradient area.
   Its a bug that needs fixing.

5. 'Puppet Warp Tool' delaying access to 'Free Transform Tool' due to load time

   Noticed in the latest update that when 'pressing & holding' the Puppet Warp Tool to access the Free Transform Tool underneath would cause the Puppet Tool to first apply itself to chosen artwork, render its mesh, etc. before displaying my option to select the Free Transform Tool. This causes up the 5 second delay each time I switch - very annoying for the default state. I encounter this about 3 times daily.

7. Close, Save and Quit File Menu options are invisible

   After upgrading Illustrator to version 23.0 (Windows 7 Pro), the Close, Save and Quit options under the File Menu are invisible. This is constant.

8. Undo randomly groups texts

   After hitting undo a few times will cause a random text to be selected and cannot be unselected. I don't know which text has been selected either. Only way to find out is to direct select each text and try to edit them. That's the only way to exit out of the selection as well. I've found this problem over and over again.

9. Hide File Extension on Export

   It's very annoying that when exporting to .jpg, etc. the hide file extension box is automatically checked. This is awful. Why?!?

    I generate a PDF from Illustrator with "High Quality Print" option and unable to view in Acrobat DC.

    This is happening only after I update the Illustrator CC 2019 (v23.0)

12. Envelope distort: Using arrow keys to adjust bend and H/V distortion nudges object down the page

    I am having a situation where I have created an arc envelope distortion of some text and, after committing my initial bend, decided to edit the distortion.

    The problem is that, when I go back into Envelope Distort > Edit Envelope and increase (or decrease) the bend, H or V distortion in the toolbar, for every digit I go up or down, the object itself nudges down the page by 30-40 points.

    I have changed the transformation reference point from the top to the center to the bottom of the object, but it doesn't matter. The object still nudges down the page.

    I have done this with several different pieces of text which were all arc'd using the Make With Warp menu selection
    I am on a 2017 MBP, Mojave, with 16GB RAM.
    My expectation is that the object would remain at the starting coordinates on the artboard and I would see the object bend and/or distort in place.
    What is happening is, the object is bending and distorting, but it is also nudging down the artboard at a pretty large rate of movement.

    Hope this makes sense and that it helps you fix this bug.

13. Spell Check doesn't understand what "Uncapitalized Start of Sentence" means.

    While running spell check, Illustrator doesn't seem to understand that a comma is not the end of a sentence, or that the word following the comma is the start of a new sentence. See attached screen shots.

16. lastest update crashes CONSTANTLY

    Just updated to version 23.0 via CC panel and Illustrator won't run more than 2 minutes at a time without crashing. I can't keep it open long enough to determine if there's a specific trend or problem. Selecting any tool from any palette, or trying to move an object on the art board, or while typing... just locks up no matter what I do. VERY FRUSTRATING.

    For what it's worth, I'm on Windows 10 with 32 gb of RAM running 64 bit version of Illustrator. Never crashed before the update.

    Try to open or place a .jpg or .jpeg file
    -> Error-Message "File could not be read because there was an error"

    Does work with other images. I attached the original image.

    Illustrator provides two tool panels now: Basic (chosen by default) and Advanced (with all the tools, including plugin ones). This change was made to make Illustrator less clumped form the beginning and ease the learning process. You can read more about this here: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/tools.html

    You can also access all the tools from the 'drawer' menu, by clicking the button with three dots at the bottom of any toolbar.

    As always, Ai doesn’t care much about our settings, and this time they forced this changes for everyone, not explaining the change directly in-app. Hope this gets improved.

19. CC2019 Offset Path stuck in Inches

    Offset Path seems to be stuck in Inches in 23.0. I have the preferences all set to "points", yet when I try to use Offset Path, it's still displaying the offset amount in inches. This didn't happen until the upgrade to 23.0.

20. Can't drag and drop or place png or jpeg files

    macOS Mojave Version 10.14
    MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)

    Illustrator 23.0

    I try to drag and drop or place png/jpeg files and nothing happens. When selecting and pasting an image an error message says 'Not enough memory to place file.' This never happened before updating to 23.0
