  1. Picking Eyedropper temporarily disables Smart Guides

    As reported here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AdobeIllustrator/comments/1p6ecuj/behavior_of_eyedropper_tool_changed_recently/

    In previous versions (can’t say for sure now when it stopped) we were able to aim with the Eyedropper better, when Smart Guides were enabled. In CC 2017 it works. Was quite helpful to pick color from a stroke, highlighting the object that is going to be sampled. Cool, right?

    But now, I suppose with the Photoshop-style sampling rings glued on, Illustrator forgot it’s a vector program. The sampling ring should not disable Smart guides!

    I somewhat get why pressing Shift might disable it, because Shift enables the 'sample by pixel' mode, and picking a color…

  2. Fonts change after reopening Illustrator file

    I created a mailer in Illustrator with around 10–12 artboards and exported everything perfectly with the correct fonts. When I reopened the same file after two days to make changes, all the fonts had changed automatically, some text had disappeared, and the layout no longer matched my earlier exported JPGs. The fonts were installed and displaying correctly at the time of the first export, so the issue only appeared after reopening the saved file. I’ve attached the before/after GIF to show the difference.

  3. Problemas al centrar y alinear

    Problemas al centrar y alinear, cuando quiero alinear algún objeto a mi mesa de trabajo se alinea fuera de? necesito ayuda para resolver este problema que me afecta mucho, incluso si alineo con un objeto clave no funciona :(

  4. Problem mit verknüpften Bildern in platzierten Illustrator-Dateien seit Update 30.2.1

    Seit dem Update von Adobe Illustrator auf Version 30.2.1 tritt ein Problem im Umgang mit platzierten Verknüpfungen auf, das zuvor nicht vorhanden war.

    Beschreibung des Problems:

    Wenn in einer Illustrator-Datei ein Bild platziert und als Verknüpfung (nicht eingebettet) eingefügt wird und diese Illustrator-Datei anschließend wiederum in eine zweite Illustrator-Datei platziert oder eingebettet wird, erscheint das verknüpfte Bild aus der ersten Datei in der zweiten Datei nicht mehr.

    Das Bildfeld bleibt leer, obwohl die Verknüpfung korrekt vorhanden ist.

    Erwartetes Verhalten (wie in früheren Versionen):

  5. v30.0 (Mac) 保存時に文字の入力ソースを切り替えられない

    Mac OS Tahoe (26.1)／Illustrator v30.0

    ドキュメント保存時に文字の入力ソース（日本語↔ENなど）を切り替えられない。
    一瞬切り替わるが戻ってしまう。

    Thank you for reporting this issue and for the continued feedback from the community.

    We have investigated this behavior and can confirm that the inability to switch input sources (e.g., Japanese IME) while a save dialog is active on macOS is due to a change in how Apple macOS handles input methods in modal contexts.

    Starting with recent versions of macOS, Apple has changed the way input method switching is managed when certain system dialogs and panels are in focus. As a result, Illustrator's save dialog — which relies on native macOS sheet behavior — is affected by this platform-level constraint.

    As this is a macOS platform behavior change outside of Illustrator's control, the recommended solution is to switch your input source before opening the Save dialog.

  6. 「プリント」を実行した直後に Illustrator がクラッシュして終了する

    OS:
macOS Sonoma 14.7.7
    ハードウェア環境:
    ・機種名：iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020
    ・CPU：3.3 GHz 6コア Intel Core i5
    ・メモリ：8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
    ・GPU：AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4GB
    プリンター:
Fuji Xerox DocuColor 1450 GA（Wi-Fi接続）

    再現手順:
    1. Illustrator で任意のドキュメントを開く
    2. メニュー「ファイル」＞「プリント」を選択
    3. プリントダイアログで用紙サイズや設定を変更
    4. 「プリント」をクリック

    実際の結果:
    ・「プリント」を実行した直後に Illustrator がクラッシュして終了する
    期待する結果:
    ・「プリント」を実行しても落ちずに、正常にプリント処理が行われる

    補足情報:
    ・データの複雑さやIllustratorの起動時間は関係ないように感じる
    ・他の EPSON 製プリンターでは同じ操作を行ってもクラッシュは発生しない
    ・DocuColor 1450 GA のプリンタードライバーを再インストールしたが、問題は改善しなかった

  7. Unable to move Layer into Sub-layers

    Illustrator makes no sense. I have a Layer full of vectors, but when I try to insert that layer into another layer to become a sub-layer, Illustrator refuses to acknowledge my request. In what world would prohibit me from such a simple task?

  8. Persistent Toolbar Rich Tooltips

    Tooltips are particularly buggy when using more than one monitor, they tend to persist and keep animating whilst users are attempting to focus on what they are doing within the interface.

  9. Pencil Tool Fidelity setting is either buggy, or something weird is going on.

    With Pencil Tool

    The most accurate setting (1) produces 44 points in my example.
    The next setting (2) produces 10 points.
    The following setting (3) produces 17 points.

    Settings 2 and 3 are in the wrong order.
    I wondered why there was such a huge accuracy gap between settings 1 and 2, and then I noticed this.

  10. 2026 Illustrator UI Bugs EVERYWHERE!!!!!

    Seriously, do you guys even use your own products? These issues are not buried, they are very apparent. Take a look at the attached screenshots. Gradients have been broken for a while now.

    Also, this new version is full of bugs. I have to restart Illustrator immediately after opening for the bounding box to work, half the time adobe fonts are broken and wont sync.

    Windows 11, i9, 4080 super, 64gb ram, 2gb download speed... I have all the things you need for a fast and efficient workflow, but Adobe's legacy code mixed with all the new bugs from the…

  11. My subscription keeps flagging that two people are using my account

    I'm a small business and have always used Adobe products on two computers. On one computer I mainly use Illustrator and Photoshop, and on the other I mostly view PDFs or make minor updates. Sometimes I have several PDFs open while working. Now my subscription keeps flagging that two people are using my account, and days later I get logged out, which complicates everything. Because of this, I've reduced it to only one computer signed in and now use Chrome and other non-Adobe applications to view and update PDFs. At $799 per year, and likely increasing, its just not worth…

  12. Extensions not accessible

    Extensions are not accessible. They appear as greyed out in the menu. I'm running version 30.2.1 on a Mac running Tahoe 26.3. I noticed the problem when trying to launch an extension that I'd downloaded and previously used on other versions. "Libraries" are also greyed out, and I went to the plugins section of Creative Clouded and added a new plugin. I can see it in the menu but they all remain greyed out.

  14. Color dropdown gets drawn in the top left corner of the screen when first called

    When first called, the color dropdown appears in the top left corner of the display. The second call renders it where it should be. Also (not noticeable in the video, since Sharex doesn’t record clicks) — I had to click the chip twice to make it appear.

  15. Behavior of buttons in the character panel when automatically converted to an icon panel

    I'm using macOS Tahoe 26.2, with English system language and the Japanese version of Illustrator. This issue started with Illustrator version 30.

    1. Check "Automatically turn into icon panel" in the User Interface preferences.
    2. Click the ♥ button in the character panel or the scroll bar when selecting a font.
    3. The character panel closes.
    • This issue did not occur up to version 29 of Ai.

  16. Dateien sind verloren gegangen

  17. App crash while using pen tool causing total file loss

    I had made a copy of the file attached and drew it for hours. And suddenly when using the pen tool the whole app crashed and caused me to lose 8 hours of work. Extremely disappointed.

  18. Thumbnails & Quicklook preview has incorrectly positioned pictures.

    29.8.1 thumbnails und Apple Quicklook show previews with incorrectly positioned pictures. This was a bug present in earlier versions, but in the actual documents.
    After fixing it inside of Ai, the bug is now in thumbnails & Quicklook.

  19. Dragging a guide with Real-Time Drawing and Editing mode enabled makes black or cyan edges appear for all objects

    I'm not sure if this is a possible feature, if so please let me know for what I can use it. Otherwise I would like to report it.

    For example the following explanation:
    I place some retangles on the artboard. Two objects get a color filling and the third one is filled with white. I use a ruler on one of the colored objects. When I drag the same ruler again, the white object appears and all object have a black stroke. When I drag a second ruler the white object does not appear. If I grab the second ruler…

  20. Can't add Anchor Point to front object

    Illustrator 30.1 on Mac Ventura 13.7.8

    I'm trying to add an Anchor Point on a Path (orange) on the front, at the same place where there's an Anchor Point on a Path (black) in the back, but when I approach the (selected) front Path with the Pen, / or * appears instead of + and it either continues the Path below or starts a new Path above.

    My only option to add an Anchor Point to the orange Path is to cut it and rejoin it.
