When overprint preview is off magnify is from center point when overprint preview is on magnify is a area box. wth!?

Illustrator refuses to become default program when opening .svg files
Illustrator refuses to become default program when opening .svg files. I've tried "Open with another program" in the "Open with" context menu option. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've tried installing 2017. I've tried regedit. It just won't take.

Illustrator keeps crashing when opening files or when creating a new file.
Like the title says, Illustrator crashes no matter what I do when opening files or when creating a new file. Nothing seems to fix it, a fresh install did nothing as well. Any ideas? got important projects I need to work on =_=.

Adjustments in gradient slider not applying to grouped objects
When adjusting the gradient slider for a group of objects, only some of the objects are affected by the slider. The rest of the objects don't change. Applies to both linear and radial gradients, but problem more frequent for radial.
(In screenshot, the lower-right corner shows how some of the objects follow the gradient slider adjustment, but the rest of the objects in the group don't change. Using macOS High Sierra and Illustrator CC v23.0.1.)2 votesRequest to Contact Support ·

the letter "i" is sometimes not exported to SVG
the letter "i" is sometimes not exported to SVG..
For example: i tried to export the following paragraph to SVG:
"Synchronization job is designed to perform file transfer between multiple agents back and forth, or perform one-way file transfer. Files in the shares can be modified, new file added and some deleted, and these changes synced to other agents in real time."the word "file" always gets exported as "fle"

Fonts not synching across licenses on two laptops
My fonts (not from typekit) aren't synching across the licenses of two laptops - so if I want to work on a file from Dropbox I can't as the fonts are missing on the laptop I didn't create the file on. Defeats the purpose of being able to have AI on two laptops.

No display of illustration when moving objects using greater than 300% scale
- Windows 7 OS, Adobe Illustrator CC
I created and transform a small object
2.1 I zoom to 600% or greater and move the object to the illustration
2.2 I lose the display of the illustration when I move the object to the illustration.My usual results with the previous version of Illustrator CC is I was able to move objects at greater than 600% zoom and still see the Illustration I was trying to move the object to.
My actual result was I loose the Illustration when I move the object to it at or greater than 600% zoom.

Trim View (2019) is rendering properly in GPU view when adding from libraries
Details of your operating system and version of Adobe Illustrator: Windows 10 Insider Build 18312. Illustrator 23.0.1
The steps you were taking when you experienced the issues: When working in Trim View in GPU view, when I add assets from the Libraries panel and move them onto the artboard, my background raster image gets black blocks/rendering issue. If I zoom in and out it goes away until I move the top object again. If I switch to CPU view the issue goes away.[Optional] Upload your Illustrator file or a video

Too many bugs. Laggy!
Too much bugs.. Can't open two files at the same time. Stuck at the Recent files screen. Regret getting this version installed.. Nobody check this in adobe before it goes live for download? We are not testers, we pay to use it in our companies for our clients. Do not release new versions full of bugs pls! I beg you ADOBE!

Distribution tools and selected points.
In the new update v23.0, when you select individual points the distribution tools don't work correctly.

Save a Copy in same folder of AI file (like before)
Save a Copy in same folder of AI file (like before)
Since the update to 22.0, the behaviour of “Save a copy” has changed so as to present the last-browsed folder destination in Windows Explorer. Previously this defaulted to the location of the working file.
This is interrupting workflow considerably. I’m sure I am not alone in saving PDF copies of artwork in profess, for discussion with colleagues and clients. This used to be a couple of keystrokes but now I have to remember to browse back to the working file location each time.
In summary:

Gestures Broken
Gestures (e.g. pinch to zoom, two finger panning) don't work in Illustrator for me anymore. They used to work just fine on both my Wacom tablet and laptop's touchpad, but now don't work for either. They work in Photoshop, just not Illustrator, so I'm not sure if it's an option that's been deselected or an actual bug, but I can't find the option if so. I can usually scroll vertically, pinch to zoom sometimes scrolls horizontally instead, and I can't use gestures to actually zoom at all.
OS: Windows 10

Freeform gradient line stops disappearing
The freeform gradient tool is very cool in its flexibility but I have encountered some major bugs with the line option. I can create the line stops but if I change the opacity of a stop from 100% then stops along the line most of the time one or more stops disappear.
Sometimes just clicking or clicking and moving a stop makes stops disappear as well.
It makes the tool unusable. Hopefully, it will become more reliable in a future release.

Shortcut not working
Win10 cc2019 azerty KB : CTRL + ; shortcut (hide guides does not work for no apparent reason.) If I try to assign another combo CTRL + , it works fine. Any reason why ?

An installed font doesn’t get found when its name is typed in a search field
I'm missing fonts that used to show up in my list. What happened to my favorites? I started typing the missing font name in search and it showed up briefly and then disappeared. From then on every time I tried to search for it again the cursor jumped around and started typing nonsense.

Image Trace over a white square on color mode with 2 colors crashes Illustrator
This is a bug that happens on all versions of Illustrator, even CC 2019, and regardless of OS.
It's very specific, but here are the steps:
Create a new document. Color Mode doesn't matter.
Draw a square with only a white fill.
Rasterize it. Resolution and color mode doesn't matter.
Run Image Trace on it
In the Image Trace settings, set the Mode to Color and the number of colors set to 2.
Illustrator will crash.
Try it out! The expected result is probably just the same as if the number of colors was set to 3 or anything else…2 votes -
Random selections and wandering selection tool
When selecting and deselecting layers, the software will select and deselect other layers on its own. The selection tool and text tool will wander on its own all over the screen when trying to select or add text.

Illustrator ignores ‘Use Preview Bounds’ setting unless multiple objects are selected
Not much more to say. Single object selected? Bounding box ignores the object's stroke. Multiple objects selected? Bounding box encompasses the stroke.
