1. Long delay before PDF dialog when large images present

   It seems that when there are any large linked images present, Illustrator locks up for several seconds or more before the Save Adobe PDF dialog appears. Often the delay is long enough that I end up switching to another task while I wait.

   This never used to happen in previous versions — I believe the problem started with an update in late 2018 or early 2019. Based on the delay before the dialog appears, it seems like Illustrator might be refreshing/re-reading the images in the background, because the delay seems to increase with more/larger images.

   All my working files are saved on a very fast NAS, so I tested my theory by watching the performance tab in Windows Task Manager. Sure enough, ethernet spikes while Illustrator locks up. However, I don't think this problem is related to the files being loaded/saved over ethernet, because I often experience the same delay on my Mac at home when saving PDF files from Illustrator. On my Mac, all working files are saved on my internal SSD, yet I still get the same long delay when large images are present.

2. Mouse scroll animated zoom is broken when in Pixel Preview mode

   I just updated to Illustrator 2019 on a Windows 10 PC

   Given I have any size project open
   And my "zoom to selection" preferences are on or off
   When I turn on pixel preview view mode
   And I have alt selected
   And I use my mouse to zoom in and out
   Then zoom chooses a random center point to anchor it's zoom

   I have no issues when in "Overprint preview" mode, or when using my keyboard in "Pixel preview" mode.

3. Anchor Point tool doesn’t reshape straight segments

   Anchor point tool does not allow me to bend the straight line by dragging the path to convert it to curve. is this a bug?

   Direct Selection tool won’t reshape straight segments but move them, but Anchor Point Tool should work on these.

   Can you recheck this, please?

4. Shape Builder Crash

   When attempting to use shape builder tool and attempt to click on shape fails fill. An additional attempt to click and use the shape builder tool results in a crash. How do you fix this? I keep getting this crash 3 times a day.

5. Illustrator and Adobe apps are slow on retina display

   Hi All!

   I have an issue with Illustrator (23.0.2) on my brand new 15" retina Macbook Pro 2018 (latest edition 2,6GHz i7, 16GB ram, RadeonPro 560X).

   I've seen lot of similar issues here, but I would like to say about an interesting thing.

   If I moving around in a document or zoom in/out (simple or complex), it works really slow. If I switch to GPU preview, it's much better, but in CPU preview it's horrible and unusable.

   Bigger problem is that on my previous 13" MacbookPro (2012 mid, 2,9Ghz i7) without dedicated graphics card everything works fine (in CPU and GPU preview as well). Both laptop has the latest Mojave and Illustrator version.

   And the best: if I connect an external display (fullHD) to my new macbook pro, the Illustrator works much better on that screen. But if I move the Illustrator window back to the laptop screen, the issue is coming back again.
   Why?!

   The macbook pro not able to handle the Adobe apps on retina display well? Because I experienced similar problems in Premiere Pro when I'm working on the timeline.

   I bought a very expensive laptop for work, I have full Adobe subscription and I don't understand why I'm here or any other forums?

   I sent an email about these to sharewithai@adobe.com, but I haven't got answer yet.

6. Make it usable on ipad - Draw is extremely inferior

   Adobe Draw is an inferior product to Illustrator. The promise of creating vector art and moving it to Illustrator only works about half the time and you do not have the ability to interact (select manipulate etc) individual objects. I am sure that it is complicated to make a desktop software work on an ipad but honestly, I am a bit confused as to why this does not exist. My computer has way less space than my ipad pro. It also allows me to plug a tablet in and use a stylus throughout illustrator to do whatever I want. I don't understand why this is not translateable to an app on the ipad where I use my stylus directly on the screen other than there is probably some money somewhere to be made by someone. Please make it easier for designers to use your products with the best tools on the market. Thanks.

7. Type resizing issue in Illustrator CC 2019 v23.0.1

   If I try to change the point size of a typeface on type that is indeed selected (any typeface - not specific to any one in particular), while I can select or type in a specific size in the type "window" (cmd T to open, or I just open it from my docked windows) it has no effect on the actual size. I can change the size using the panel across the top (see attached screen cap) just fine.

   This just started happening today. I've done no updates related to my OS (latest version for Mac of Mojave) or Illustrator.

8. Freeze on First File Opened if it has Missing Fonts

   Illustrator CC version 22.1
   OS: Windows 10 Pro, version 1803

   1) Launch Illustrator
   2) Open Ai file
   3) If the first file I open after launching Ai has missing fonts the program freezes before it populates the missing fonts dialogue box. I have to force quit the application from task manager and relaunch.

   Any subsequent files that are opened after the first file do not have this issue regardless of missing fonts. I am currently working around this issue by opening a file that I know has no missing fonts first before I'm able to open any files that may have missing fonts.

   Illustrator CC version 22.1

10. Intermittent SVG Text Export Bug

    Intermittent SVG Text Export Bug

    In 23.0.2 (and 23.0.3) when exporting and SVG sometimes text is exported as <text> tags with the layer name as an ID and sometimes the text is wrapped in a <g> and the <g> has an id with the layer name and the <text> element has no id.

    The behavior is arbitrary, but one a text element begins exporting wrapped in a <g> it stays that way. Sometimes an element, after editing the text or font, that was exporting correctly will begin exporting wrapped (incorrectly).

    This issue makes post-export parsing/processing difficult because you can't depend on the document structure.

    I have an example file with two text elements where one exports properly and the other does not, but when attempting to attach the interface here states "Invalid File type: .ai files are not allowed."

11. Double-click open ai file results in error but dragging in works

    When in Windows Explorer I double-click to open the ai file but results in error: "Illustrator can't open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window..."

    However when I drag and drop the file into Illustrator it opens no problem.

    This error started happening in the last few days.

    Please advise.

12. Hide File Extension on Export

    It's very annoying that when exporting to .jpg, etc. the hide file extension box is automatically checked. This is awful. Why?!?

    I am having issues with the alignment of the image on the artboard. It seems the rectangle I used to cover the artboard isn't lining up. I am not sure if this is a problem or I simply don't know how to fix it

    The artwork has a small black dot on the right side, far away from the artboard. Watch closely at the right side of your 11×17.jpg image to notice it.
    And export options were probably without ‘Use artboards’ tick.

    P.S. Please always provide the file you have problems with!

14. Illustrator cc2019(v23.0) テキストをアウトライン化すると元の位置からズレる

    テキストを効果→パスの変形→変形で回転したものを、アウトライン化すると元の位置からズレます。フォントのサイズが大きいほどズレが大きいようです。
    印刷会社へ入稿する際や、納品する場合も必ずアウトライン化したファイルを作成するので、このズレは致命的です。
    早急に改善していただきたいです。

17. 10.14.3 Mojave - can't "drag" move anything in Illustrator! Gotta cut & paste or use arrow for sloooowwwww moving.... What's up????

    Since upgrading to 10.14.3 Mojave, I can't "click & drag" anything! I either have to cut & paste an item elsewhere....or veeerrrryyyy slloowwlly move with the arrow key. NOT GOOD.

18. lastest update crashes CONSTANTLY

    Just updated to version 23.0 via CC panel and Illustrator won't run more than 2 minutes at a time without crashing. I can't keep it open long enough to determine if there's a specific trend or problem. Selecting any tool from any palette, or trying to move an object on the art board, or while typing... just locks up no matter what I do. VERY FRUSTRATING.

    For what it's worth, I'm on Windows 10 with 32 gb of RAM running 64 bit version of Illustrator. Never crashed before the update.

19. cursor lag cc2019

    Heavy cursor lag on arrow tools in cc2019. Tracking speed matches fine system wide, but is slowed / delayed in Ai.

20. Toggle selection/brush tool bug in new Illustrator update

    Selecting multiple objects no longer works with the latest update. Also cannot toggle between brush and select tool using command key. This is a bad problem. Please help.
