3. Problem mit verknüpften Bildern in platzierten Illustrator-Dateien seit Update 30.2.1

   Seit dem Update von Adobe Illustrator auf Version 30.2.1 tritt ein Problem im Umgang mit platzierten Verknüpfungen auf, das zuvor nicht vorhanden war.

   Beschreibung des Problems:

   Wenn in einer Illustrator-Datei ein Bild platziert und als Verknüpfung (nicht eingebettet) eingefügt wird und diese Illustrator-Datei anschließend wiederum in eine zweite Illustrator-Datei platziert oder eingebettet wird, erscheint das verknüpfte Bild aus der ersten Datei in der zweiten Datei nicht mehr.

   Das Bildfeld bleibt leer, obwohl die Verknüpfung korrekt vorhanden ist.

   Erwartetes Verhalten (wie in früheren Versionen):
   In vorherigen Illustrator-Versionen wurden verknüpfte Bilder innerhalb einer platzierten .ai-Datei korrekt angezeigt, auch wenn diese Datei in einer weiteren Illustrator-Datei verwendet wurde.

   Aktuelles Verhalten:
   Verknüpfte Bilder aus der ursprünglichen Datei werden in der zweiten Datei nicht dargestellt.

   Workaround:
   Aktuell funktioniert die Darstellung nur, wenn alle Bilder in der ersten Illustrator-Datei vollständig eingebettet werden. Dies ist jedoch workflow-technisch problematisch, da Verknüpfungen bewusst zur Dateigrößen- und Assetverwaltung genutzt werden.

   Zusammenfassung:
   Seit Version 30.2.1 scheint die Weitergabe bzw. Auflösung von Bildverknüpfungen innerhalb platzierter Illustrator-Dateien nicht mehr korrekt zu funktionieren.

   Ich bitte um Prüfung, ob es sich hierbei um einen bekannten Bug handelt. Systeminformationen: Der Fehler tritt auf einem iMac Pro (3,2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W, 32 GB RAM) unter macOS 15.7.4 (24G57) auf.

4. Can't select all and use Outline Stroke directly, especially Clipping Mask items

   Can't select all to Outline Stroke directly, some clipping mask items will be missing, then need to adjust one by one, very inconvenient for printing FA

5. Unable to move Layer into Sub-layers

   Illustrator makes no sense. I have a Layer full of vectors, but when I try to insert that layer into another layer to become a sub-layer, Illustrator refuses to acknowledge my request. In what world would prohibit me from such a simple task?

   Enabling Show Tool Tips in Preferences > General helped to have the names for swatches on hover back

7. Swatch pattern reduces scale when copied from one illustrator document to another

   When I copy a CAD drawing from one illustrator document to another, the pattern swatch scale in the CAD reduces.
   I've noticed it doesn't happen with every swatch, only some. Sometimes the CAD itself will also reduce scale.
   I have also noticed that if I create a new document I won't have this issue, however when I paste it into an already existing document, this is when the problem is usually occurring.
   I have doubled checked the canvas size for both documents, and they are the same.
   This is in version 30.2.1.

   We are working towards fixing this issue and would roll it out in Beta (and eventually General Availability) builds soon.

8. 2026 Illustrator UI Bugs EVERYWHERE!!!!!

   Seriously, do you guys even use your own products? These issues are not buried, they are very apparent. Take a look at the attached screenshots. Gradients have been broken for a while now.

   Also, this new version is full of bugs. I have to restart Illustrator immediately after opening for the bounding box to work, half the time adobe fonts are broken and wont sync.

   Windows 11, i9, 4080 super, 64gb ram, 2gb download speed... I have all the things you need for a fast and efficient workflow, but Adobe's legacy code mixed with all the new bugs from the new MVP features you push out without proper testing make it impossible to take advantage of any of my hardware.

   It's shocking how quickly Illustrator becomes bogged down when working in large scale or with complex layer systems. You need to get with the times and start doing multicore processing.

   Is there ever going to be a plan to rebuild this dinosaur or are you planning on us still using single core processing in 2030? The dead cow has been milked dry, with other options slowly becoming available, your complacency and focus on AI will be your downfall.

   DO BETTER.

9. My subscription keeps flagging that two people are using my account

   I'm a small business and have always used Adobe products on two computers. On one computer I mainly use Illustrator and Photoshop, and on the other I mostly view PDFs or make minor updates. Sometimes I have several PDFs open while working. Now my subscription keeps flagging that two people are using my account, and days later I get logged out, which complicates everything. Because of this, I've reduced it to only one computer signed in and now use Chrome and other non-Adobe applications to view and update PDFs. At $799 per year, and likely increasing, its just not worth the cost or the complications anymore. I look forward to moving to alternative software. Thanks, Adobe, for making things more difficult and pushing small businesses like mine away from your products.

It’s truly impressive how a system that allows two computers can still notify me that two people are using my account and then thoughtfully log me out days later just to keep things exciting. I especially appreciate paying $799 per year for the privilege of simplifying my workflow down to one signed-in computer while using Chrome and other non-Adobe tools to avoid triggering helpful security reminders. 10. Extensions not accessible

    Extensions are not accessible. They appear as greyed out in the menu. I'm running version 30.2.1 on a Mac running Tahoe 26.3. I noticed the problem when trying to launch an extension that I'd downloaded and previously used on other versions. "Libraries" are also greyed out, and I went to the plugins section of Creative Clouded and added a new plugin. I can see it in the menu but they all remain greyed out.

11. Illustrator Czech Locale Brush Anomaly: Extra Brush and Deletable Protected Brush

    I found an inconsistency in the Czech locale of Illustrator (tested in v29 and v30, Windows 10, macOS).

    When creating a new document in the Czech locale, there is one extra default calligraphic brush compared to all other 18 locales. On top of that, the default calligraphic brush that is normally protected from deletion (in every other locale) can be freely deleted in Czech.

12. Files saved are missing images when imported into Photoshop, InDesign, other apps

    Lately I am having problems with linked files in Illustrator not showing up when I open the file in Photoshop for instance, even though everything looks fine in Illustrator in the original file. I have to go into the Links menu and relink everything one at a time and resave to make it work. I also notice that the file size is smaller when the linked files don't work.

    I tend to use linked files a lot and have for years so this isn't a case of unfamiliarity with the tool.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    The issue seems to be eliminated in Beta. It should be pushed into an upcoming general release.

13. New Glitch in Smart Guides, highlighting perspective grid-like points

    Theres a new update glitch in smart guides, when I have an object selected, a bunch of perspective grid-like highlights.

    This setting is connected with object highlighting in smart guide settings. If i shut off object highlighting in Illustrator>Preferences>Smart Guides>Object Highlighting, the issue stops.

    Seems like just a new bug glitch in a recent illustrator update.

14. Script selection/appearance modification causes error 8702

    I am using a script to change the appearance of an object (fill color of an ellipse shape). Since there is no way to access appearance properties directly (which would be lovely to get someday), I am using a known workaround with defaultFillColor on the selected document.

    app.activeDocument.selection = [item.obj];
    app.activeDocument.defaultFillColor = item.newCol;
    

    Unfortunately, the selection seems to leave Illustrator in a weird state, and any further script command (e.g. next iteration of the loop) fails with "Error 8702: there is no active document."

    This sometimes goes away if I use CPU instead of GPU preview, though not reliably. And the error is not thrown if there is no update to the fill color (i.e. the object already had the correct color).

    This is on version 30.2.1 and macOS 26.3 on apple silicon. I was successfully using the same script for years prior to a few weeks ago, so this might be a recent change. I also tested the latest Illustrator beta, and the error is still there.

    I am happy to share the script and illustrator file that trigger the error if needed.

16. App crash while using pen tool causing total file loss

    I had made a copy of the file attached and drew it for hours. And suddenly when using the pen tool the whole app crashed and caused me to lose 8 hours of work. Extremely disappointed.

17. 文字が欠ける原因を知りたい

    Adobe イラストレーターからPDFに変換する場合、CubeとMicrosoft PDFでは正常に変換できますが、イラストレーターで「別名で保存する」でAdobe PDFを選んで変換すると、写真のように文字が欠けてしまいました。今までも長い間同じ方法でやっていたのですが、今回、こんな現象が現れました。対処の仕方を教えてください。

18. Scroll wheel crash

    Logitech MX Master 2S mouse scroll wheel has stopped functioning in latest versions of AI. Currently hanging and crashing.
    Latest Windows, Latest AI. Latest nvidia driver.
    Asuswrx90, AMD7965, 256 QVL RAM, 5090Founders, Samsung 9100 m2 OS/CACHE/Storage drives
    Expected: smooth scroll
    Actual: App hangs for 2 seconds.
    GPU accelleration settings on or off make no difference.
    I suspect it is a logitech driver issue but a basic bit of mouse functionality in very very common hardware should not be happening.

20. Free Transform resets frame after each use

    If it was the only problem... Have you ever tried to "free transform" an object like you can do it with Photoshop in a breeze ? Free Transform tool (Free Distort) resets the handles to the rectangular bounding box after each handle drag! Super convenient to adjust a deformation! But did Adobe internally have the distortion tools proposed in Illustrator tested? there are 3 or 4 but all are tedious to use and very incomplete. Please, Adobe, put all this in the trash and replace these useless things with a single tool effective and intuitive... exactly like the "free transform" of Photoshop! Speak to real graphic designers and they will show you how to make real tool!

    Illustrator today properly keep the Free Transform frame deformed after each use, until you destroy the group it creates.
