29.7までは何の問題もなく、移動先タブが開き、コピーできる
移動先タブが開かない 10秒くらいタブ上でカーソルを維持するとタブが開くことがあるが、オブジェクトがない（タブ移動しただけ）

A width profile that is uneditable and rendered wrong
Take a look at these two path; Illustrator says they have the same width profile, but it’s obviously not correct.
If saved as Graphic styles — these do match.
Paths match.
Directions match (and simple reversing still looks different).
The left-hand path cannot be edited with the native Width tool.I can edit these with Width Selector tool by Astute Graphics, but it makes the width changed in a different spot. Saving the style, clearing the appearance, reapplying the style — heals the bug. Deleting a leftmost segment... this keep the look the same (almost), but the bug gets healed…

Artboard label not included in exported image's name
In the past when I export just an artboard the image name had both the file name and artboard name in it's name. Now it stopped. FIX THIS PLEASE

Recent colors cannot be drag-n-dropped in gradient stops or onto canvas
Recent colors cannot be used in gradient stops.

Color dropdown gets drawn in the top left corner of the screen when first called
When first called, the color dropdown appears in the top left corner of the display. The second call renders it where it should be. Also (not noticeable in the video, since Sharex doesn’t record clicks) — I had to click the chip twice to make it appear.

Not Getting "Overwrite notification" when exporting using "File/Export/Export as..."
This only started happening recently and I'm not sure what to do to fix it. Whenever I export a file using the "Export as..." feature, I'll navigate to the location where it was previously exported and click the "Export" button. I used to get an overwrite notification asking if I wished to do so and I'd just click yes or no. Now, for some reason, that notification isn't triggering and Adobe Illustrator is just overwriting. I tried using Windows Explorer to copy and paste a file to the same location, and Windows "does" give the standard notification to confirm overwrite.…

Thumbnails & Quicklook preview has incorrectly positioned pictures.
29.8.1 thumbnails und Apple Quicklook show previews with incorrectly positioned pictures. This was a bug present in earlier versions, but in the actual documents.
After fixing it inside of Ai, the bug is now in thumbnails & Quicklook.3 votes -
Linked images (with embedded profiles) shift color when embedded
Embedding an Adobe RGB (or any profile that is different than the current document profile) image (jpeg, png, tiff) in an sRGB Illustrator 2025 document gives a different result than with an Illustrator 2024 document.
When Profile warnings are checked in the Color Settings, the warning dialogs are different between 2024 and 2025
2024 warns for a Paste Profile Mismatch and allows to “Convert.(preserve color appearance)”
2025 warns for an Embedded Profile Mismatch and wants to “Use the embedded profile (instead of the working space)”.

Em dash incorrectly rotates upright in vertical text layout
Illustrator 2025 (29.8.1) (29.8.2) Japanese
Em dashes are Latin characters, so in vertical text layout they should be rotated sideways like other alphanumeric characters.
However, in v29.8.2, Em dashes are rotated upright like Japanese characters. This is clearly a bug.

Rotating an object with 3D Extrude & Bevel causes pixelation in v29.8.2
I don't know if any user has raised this before, but the 3D Extrude and Bevel in Illustrator (29.8.2) has an issue. When trying to manipulate an object by rotating it, the object completely pixelates as it is adjusted. It's impossible to ascertain the positioning as it just becomes a massed blob of pixels whilst I am trying to position it. Whether positioning it manually, or by using the X,Y, Z sliders, the problem still persists. Zooming in doesn't work either (the pixellation just increases in size). Ai crashed and the recovered file is missing changes made in last 2 hours
Illustrator just crashed after 10 hours of work!!!!!! It recovered the file, but only at the stage I was probably at after just 2 hours — the rest is completely lost! I checked everything, and it saved approximately nothing!!!! I'm furious right now!

Values in W / H fields in Transform dropdown from Control don’t get updated while editing another field with Constrain Proportions enabled
When editing an object, click in the Height or Width input box and use the arrow keys on the keyboard to decrease the value. When changing one value (e.g. height), the other value is not updated. You must exit the window and return to it to see the value.

Selection reset after expand dynamic symbol
In Illustrator, there are two types of symbols: dynamic and static. By default, when we select all symbol instances and expand them, the resulting new objects remain selected. An unexplained bug has been found with dynamic symbols:
- Create a dynamic symbol in a document and place its instances.
- Save the file.
- Reopen the file.
- Try to expand the dynamic symbol instances.
Result: The selection is cleared from the objects, which does not happen with static symbols. If you place new instances of a dynamic symbol in the document, there is no selection loss – this only occurs with those instances…

Illustrator no longer keeping custom layer colors. Layer colors revert to black
In recent Illustrator builds, custom layer colors applied to layers are not being saved with the document. When reopening the file, all layers that used custom colors revert to black, regardless of the original assignments. Default layer colors still persist correctly.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a new Illustrator document.
Add multiple layers.
Assign custom RGB colors to the layers (not from the default layer color list).
Save and close the document.
Reopen the document.Expected Result:
Layers retain the custom colors assigned to them.Actual Result:
All custom-colored layers revert to black, while default colors are preserved.Impact:

This error pops up on every Illustrator startup now:

I/0 errorTried reinstalling Creative Cloud and all apps using CC cleaner, no effect. Tried resetting preferences, no effect. Renaming the .jsx file helps but it's not recreated and presumably has some purpose (removing a similar one for Photoshop breaks Bridge Batch actions for instance).

Preview issues with Home recent files and Placed files not properly showing all artwork.
Home recent files not populating with updated artwork previews. For example: I use a personal file template, make changes, save as new, and the new file does not populate an updated preview on the home screen. Second, when placing an AI file in another AI file some of the assets are missing in the place file and/or moved and distorted - even though when I open the original file everything looks fine.
