No fill no stroke rectangle in Illustrator CC 2018 on a PC has an appearance on it and it shouldn't
When you try to make and use a no fill no stroke rectangle (in Illustrator CC 2018 on a PC) and attempt to use it to define a pattern piece or a brush (so you can create an overlap) the rectangle doesn't work! If you select it and, from the Appearance panel flyout menu, Reduce to basic appearance then it works. So, clearly some appearance is on the shape which isn't visible but which is causing it to fail. Pen tool glitch
When using the pen tool, the artboard glitches and a big gray area appears from the upper right corner (screenshot 1), glitches even more and turns yellow when scrolling or moving the cursor (screenshot 2).
Pen tool absolutely impossible to use.This started happening after last update (version 22.0.1 - 64 bit) on Windows 8.1

Several Illustrator 22.0.1 Issues with High Sierra Update
The issues keep surfacing after the OS High Sierra update making my job increasingly difficult and frustrating. Issues ranging from bounding boxes not working to the inability to modify/click on text. Also, I find that I sometimes after some design and then saving the project, the layout switches back on all the changes that I made, after saving is complete. I'll close the file, reopen, and the changes appear as they should have. Crashing is also an issue, seems "minor" compared to these other problems. Mac Illustrator CC2018 cannot key in % of Cyan as the tint % of the Swatch
When create a swatch e.g. 20C 80M 0Y 0K,
I cannot key in 20 (%) as the tint of that swatch.
Even use my magic mouse scroll one digit to one digit, next to 19 is 21.
No digit 20.

Symbols and CC Libraries
So there is a bug with symbols being used in CC Libraries that I came across. If you place a symbol on something and apply a type of appearance effect, like a warp, you are unable to place or open up that file again in the CC Library. You will get an error that says "Can't open the illustration".

Crash in Illustrator CC 2018 while using Wacom
After copy paste selected type tool, rotate tool and then again type tool with wacom. It resulted in crash on my mac.

Export as PNG not working in iOS
V 22.0.1 on iOS thru Creative Cloud will no longer let me Export As PNG or JPG. I've checked for updates and there are none. I've tried a restart on my MacBook Pro and the Creative Cloud. I can't figure out what is wrong. I really need to be able to do this.

BUG: New Window 'aligns' to first window
Illustrator CC 2018
When I open a 'New Window' and arrange them tiled or float both windows so that they are both viewable at the same time and then position different views of the document in these two windows, when I start editing text in Window 1 the viewable content in Window 2 'aligns' with the view of Window 1 - why?

Illustrator cc 2018 does not work correctly with the Nvidia GF 610m graphics card.
The program closes with an error when selecting the brush tool. Is there any solution to this problem? I know about switching to an integrated graphics card, but its performance is very small. I noticed the same thing when working with nvidia in illustrator, the tooltip does not show any hints, just the new dialog for creating a new document does not appear (only the advanced one works or the old one works, I do not know how it is called correctly).

Bug With Blend tool with check preview mode and text in CC 2018 on Mac and PC
In Illustrator CC 2018, when you want to modify a shape gradient by passing it in step with check preview mode. The software crashes every time. I tested on PC and Mac with different windows and OS, and each time the software crashes.

Recolor artwork window stops working shortly after opening (Illustrator CC2018)
Im using Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 on macOS High Sierra (10.13.2).
I'm trying to recolor my artwork but the window accessed via Edit colors > recolor Artwork freezes shortly after using it.Everything remains responsive except that when I click any part of the window there is no response from Illustrator. I can still move the window around but cannot exit it. The OS doesn't recognize it as a crash (no "not responding" message).
I've been working on the same document in Illustrator CC 2017, recoloring worked fine in then.
Any idea how to fix this?

Illustrator has bugs to support variable font with 3 attributes
This is a sample font which to demo the variable font has 3 attributes (weight/height/Optical Size).
If use Illustrator's Character panel to adjust the height attributes, the weight attributes would no work.

Cannot Pan/Scroll with WACOM pen in Open/Save/Place file dialogue windows.
Cannot Pan/Scroll with Wacom pen in Open/Save/Place type file dialogue windows in mmany if not all of Adobe apps (where every other non-Adobe app I know of does, Apple and other 3rd parties), obviously this pertains to when you've mapped a Wacom pen button to pan/scroll to use in that manner (Wacom settings screen attached).
What should happen is being able to interact similar to touch omnidirectional swiping which includes vertical mouse-like scrolling when pressing the button and making contact with the pen, as would be expected and Wacom designed it to do.
What instead happens: Adobe apps interpret this…

Black boxes appear on top of anything I draw with the pen tool
If I try to draw something with the pen tool a black box will cover it, while I can still draw what I want, I can't see what i'm doing which makes it very difficult.
I've updated illustrator, my laptop, and tried new documents but nothing will change it.7 votes
