1. Scale Tool won't deselect

   After scaling a pattern within a shape using shift + back quote key you cannot deselect to accept the changes to the patterns scale. I cannot click on any other tool to get out of the glitch. It only stops when I press control + alt + delete.

2. Properties panel fields don’t accept numeric input until focus resets (MacBook Pro, Illustrator 2025, macOS Sequoia 15.5)

   On my MacBook Pro (2023) running macOS Sequoia 15.5 with Illustrator 2025, I’m running into a recurring focus bug in the Properties panel numeric fields (Width, Height, Stroke Weight, etc.).

   Steps to reproduce:
   1. Select an object.
   2. Click once in the Width (W) or Height (H) field in the Properties panel.
   • The field highlights, but no blinking text cursor appears.
   3. Attempt to type a number.
   • Input is ignored — Illustrator interprets the keystrokes as shortcuts instead of text.
   4. Workaround:
   • Open the Transform panel (Window > Transform) and type numbers there.
   • After doing this, the Properties panel fields suddenly allow input again (cursor blinks and numbers can be typed).

   Expected result:
   Clicking into a Properties panel numeric field should always place the text cursor and accept number input.

   Actual result:
   Single-clicking sometimes only highlights the field without giving text focus, preventing numbers from being entered.

   System details:
   • MacBook Pro 2023
   • macOS Sequoia 15.5
   • Illustrator 2025 (please see About Illustrator for exact build/version)

   Impact:
   This slows down workflow significantly when adjusting object dimensions, since numeric entry is inconsistent and requires panel switching as a workaround.

4. Character Panel Type, Leading and Scaling sizes have extra added decimals

   Ai 2025 v29.5 / Mac Sequoia 15.6 / M1 Macbook Pro / 32GB RAM - but happening on other macs with different configurations as well but same Ai version.
   We're noticing extra decimals are being added as shown in the attached screenshot. Despite choosing sizes from the drop-downs and then saving the file, the decimals return. I see a few others have posted about this previously but I haven't seen any resolution posts. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

5. Layer Assigned Color Changing Post Update

   Hello, After the update (August 12, 2025?) my Adobe Illustrator template layers change to black after saving a new project. I have built a template with many layers and assigned a color to each layer. After the update, when I open the template and save it as a new project, or simply update the template and save it, all layers that had an assigned color change to black. Is this a bug or an issue on my end?

6. Restore Highlighted Ruler Markers when moving objects

   This is a feature that was there before the last major updates. To explain, previously when you say, make a duplicate of one object and drag it across the artboard, you would see the little marker move across the ruler while holding the object. Since it is now gone, there is heavy guesswork going on when I'm trying to move close to a specific distance. This request is in regard to this tool only. I know all about distributing objects, etc. I'm just looking to restore this little feature that dropped from this tool.

7. I think its a Paragraph Style bug thats affecting the latest version of Illustrator 2025 version 29.7.1

   I recently updated to version 29.7.1 of Illustrator 2025. All of a sudden my template file started crashed Illustrator at startup. The file opens in Illustrator 2024 - but not 2025. Troubleshooting the file - slowly deleting bits and pieces from the template file I managed to discover that the bit that was crashing Illustrator 2025 was a single block of text. The block of text has a Paragraph style in it and I think it might be this which is causing the crash (or it could be something else? Fonts). I've isolated the block and pasted it into the attached file. It should open in 2024 - but will probably crash the 2025 version.

8. This file will not allow viewing in GPU mode on my computer. It works fine on other computers.

   Apple M2 Max Macbook Pro 16-inch, 2023 OS 15.6 (24G84)

   Using Illustrator 29.7.1

   Upon opening this file (attachement wouldn't work - please provide another way to transfer) I can not use GPU mode no matter what I do. I tried reinstalling all of Creative Cloud, and then completely wiped my computer and started fresh. The file is still glitchy. It seems to only happen on my computer. Colleagues do not have an issue with the file. Happy to provide the packaged file, just can't upload zip here.

9. Toggle Visibility Not Working in Layers Panel

   Windows 11 desktop, 12 GB graphics card, 32 GB RAM, Intel processor with 3.60 GHz, 64 Bit x64-based processor
   29.7.1 (64 bit)
   I am creating a design and trying to toggle the background layers to compare. When I click on the eye icon in the Layers panel, the layers sometimes go on/off and most often do not. Essentially, toggling visibility does nothing.

   I have checked that my layers are visible in the hamburger menu. I have restarted Ai and restarted my computer.

   My document is saved to the cloud - I did get an autosave is temporarily disabled warning and I get a plugin conflict message when I open AI - I have no plugins active in Ai that I can find in the Preferences settings. The plugin warning is for LogiOptionAi2020.aip

   The screenshots show that the background doesn't change even when I toggle the layers on or off. This problem only happens with the one layer- the top ones I have toggled off and when I toggle them back on they show up.

12. 29.7.1アップデートにおけるテキスト入力について

    半角入力では問題なく行えますが、日本語の入力時にリアルタイムで反映されず、画面左上で文字が表示され、Enterを押すと入力されるという仕様になっていました。（添付画像参照）
    また、以前のバージョンではAlt + 右 / 左向き矢印キーでカーニングできていましたが、出来なくなりました。
    改善していただきたいです。

    Shift Constraint is not working properly when editing proportionally or when duplicating using Option drag Shift command. I'm surprised that as many updates as we are required to do, that the glitches and bugs are so prevalent than they used to be before constant updating. I'm beginning to think that updating isn't really about making the product better, but to keep folks paying their subscriptions.

    Why does every Adobe supporter says that is working on the latest version when it does not! We have client work at our end. Fix this ASAP!

    It’s beyond frustrating — it’s infuriating. And to make things worse, you keep raising prices while sneakily auto-renewing subscriptions without proper notice. This isn’t just bad service — it’s predatory. At this point, your behavior is no different from a scam.

18. Drag and Drop lag

    Whenever dragging vector objects in a file, Illustrator lags, the waiting circle appears, and takes several seconds to place the object where I dropped it. Working becomes almost impossible when a simple task such as this takes this long. Illustrator 29.6.1, macOS Sequoia 15.6.

19. Applying 3D effects crashes Ai, with errors from Geometry3D module

    These constant bugs in every update are really infuriating.
    When applying 3D effects (e.g., extrude or inflate), Illustrator 2025 v29.6.1 on macOS 14.5 (M4 Pro, 24GB RAM) crashes immediately.
    
    Crash report shows repeated errors from Geometry3D module and abort() called in main thread.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Create a shape (e.g., rectangle or text)
    2. Apply 3D > Extrude or Inflate
    3. Sometimes applying materials also causes crash
    4. Illustrator immediately crashes without saving

    macOS Version: macOS Sonoma 14.5
    Illustrator Version: 29.6.1

20. buscando lista de impresoras

    Al intentar abrir cualquier archivo en Illustrator el programa en lugar de abrir el archivo se queda cargando y dice obteniendo lista de impresoras, carga y vuelve a iniciar la carga, como un bucle.

    Al darle click en detener, el programa se bugea y solo me da la opción de cerrarlo.
