  3. Compound Path Visibility Crash

    Hey y’all. When I have a hidden compound path in a layer and I try to make the path visible again, the app the freezes. This is a bit frustrating and not my art that I created is at a halt due to this bug.

  4. AI 2020 V.24 Unknown Error while saving in AI "when a PDF joboption file is present in the adobe PDF preferences folder"

    Just updated to V.24.
    There is a critical bug while saving on an external hard drive or a network storage. The saving process ends with a generic error and the file just DISAPPEAR from the server.

    I'm on MacOS 10.14.6

    Thanks for reporting the issue .
    We have fixed the bug which was orignally reported but it seems some users are still facing the issue.

    We are not able to reproduce this issue in house now ,Kindly provide following info to nail down this issue:

    1)Kindly provide some video , Test file(Via File→Package) & some steps with which you are facing issue and share with us at ShareWithAI@adobe.com .

    2)Please try the below mentioned workaround and let us know if that helps:

    If you do not use custom Adobe PDF presets/joboptions or not heard of it then follow the below steps
    1. Navigate to user presets folder
    Win: appdata\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings
    2. Rename the folder to “Settings old” and create a new empty folder “Settings” in the same place
    3. Launch Illustrator and check if you can save the document

    When I save, even a blank document, it takes Illustrator a lot longer than the previous version to save.

  6. Black Showing Up in AI Preview

    I'm working on macOS Big Sur 11.4
    3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5
    32 GB 1866 MHz DDR3
    AMD FirePro D500 3 GB

    I'm creating packaging dielines, and the white areas on my dielines show up as black in the AI preview and in the Mac preview (the colors appear normal in Adobe Acrobat). The printer is printing the wrong version with the black in place of white, and I don't know how to fix the file for the printer.   7. Blending paths with Width profiles works wrong

    Create two lines.
    Apply width profiles to both of them.
    Blend them.
    Ai will generate steps that have uniform profiles instead of intermediate.

  8. Latest Illustrator Update Unresponsive July 2021

    Can't select objects, access library (unresponsive), extremely slow, has obscured text when re-opening files. Can't save png or saves and then distorts the PPI. Won't toggle between tools.

  10. Open dialog box Dimmed items that open

    When opening files, and navigating with the Open window to a new folder. There are times items that clearly will open but are dimmed. Even folders have been shown dimmed today. Same with last version of Beta.

  11. Weird neon pink image of straight horizontal lines while creating new symbol

    As I was making a new symbol, I had another tab open of a house I was creating and in the midst of making such my laptop went blank showing some weird neon pink image of straight horizontal lines, and then it went blank and then after that my laptop restarted. It was only after I reported the bug to apple I realized looking back at my other tab on illustrator that the original image I was using for practice on illustrator got really messed up and can't use now.

    i have been dealing with a color issue in Illustrator 25.2.1

    all the colors changed to a weird colors and it became very slow even if the artwork size was small.
    i have attached 2 photos in cmyk and RGB i was trying to make the same color from the original artwork in both RGB and CMYK it's not the same.
    any one know why

  13. Alt+tap with Rotate or Reflect tool + Wacom tablet makes Illustrator unresponsive

    Trying to open the dialog box for precise Rotate or Reflect settings by Alt+tapping with a stylus on a Wacom tablet makes Illustrator unresponsive for an undetermined period of time.

    The dialog box may eventually open (after 30-90 seconds), but in the meantime, Illustrator cannot be closed, and none of the menus, tools and commands work. The bug only occurs with a stylus, Alt+clicking with a mouse never produces this issue.

    The bug was reported on Adobe Support Community already in 2019 but has not been fixed even in the most recent Illustrator release. It seems to be a problem…

  14. Can’t overwrite values in size fields of the New Document dialog

    When creating a new document, you cannot click into width or height box and select as one and overwrite - previously you could do this.

    You have to use backspace — incredibly irritating. Please fix.

  15. Bug when Alt/Option-dragging multiple points with Direct Select

    In Illustrator version 24.3, I'm getting a bug with Alt/Option-dragging multiple points using the Direct Selection tool. See screen recording attached.

    Opt+dragging one point gives expected results.

    Opt+dragging 2 or more points copies the entire object.

  16. Colors in entire file are suddenly completely wrong (when not in pixel preview mode)

    I just encountered this bug on macOS 10.14 with Illustrator 2021. After pasting a PNG into my document, the colors of everything suddenly look very different and washed out.

    I can "fix" this by using Pixel Preview mode OR "View using CPU", but that slows down my workflow. I even tried opening an earlier version before I pasted the PNG, and the colors are still completely wrong! Can anyone help?

  18. Keyboard shortcuts not saving. Unable to change certain keyboard shortcuts.

    Latest updates are not storing keyboard shortcuts or reverting back to default with no way to resolve.

    I changed the CPU/GPU preview shortcut (cmd+E) to something else and set cmd+E to be a shortcut for Expand. It doesn't update in the menu and reverts back after restarting Illustrator. I've tried reinstalling, reseting preferences and deleting my custom keyboard shortcuts and resetting them with no success at keeping the shortcuts as I've set them.

  19. Illustrator 25 extremely slow

    Illustrator 25 (the past several versions; currently running 25.2.3 on two separate Macs) on Mac OS (Big Sur) has been running extremely slowly for me. I've reinstalled the app, reset prefs, removed plugins, removed fonts, etc., unticked "GPU performance," ensured that dictation is disabled at the OS level, and Illustrator is still giving me the beach ball of death for things like selecting items in the menu with a dead-simple file.

    I have downloaded Affinity Designer, but it's not making my socks go up and down — twenty years of Illustrator muscle memory makes it hard to switch. I'm not clear…
