1. Can't manually enter values within the Properties toolbar

   When I go to edit a value in the properties bar (for example, angle or stroke size), nothing appears when I type. This problem doesn't exist after reloading Ai but starts occurring shortly after working with the program. The values are still editable using cursors, but make design work very difficult since I can't simply type the angle, width, stroke size, etc.. that I want.

2. Random delay when running script via command line

   When you run a script via the command line, sometimes there is a pause between launch and execution. The duration of this pause is always different.

   It would be nice if there was no pause at all.

3. Font menu blank

   Drop down font menu has stopped working in all illustrator docs.

   Turned all fonts on / off in Creative Cloud, no change, it's also showing all fonts are installed on the CC app.
   Creative Cloud is working fine
   Illustrator is up to date (28.0)
   Internet connection is fine.

4. Previewing Mid-High Complexity files incredible Sluggish - Losing time and money

   So this has become tottally unnaceptable adobe.
   For the price we pay monthly, it's unnaceptable that the engine used for rendering is so primitive in comparison with one used on other (more cheaper) software such as Affinity Designer.

   This should be one of the features you should be focusing more.

   In this thread i mentioned that since some versions of ILLUSTRATOR, the same designs i had years ago, started working more and more sluggish when previewing. And no matter the HW upgrades, it's the same. (i prefer how i worked on these 3-4 years ago)

   The most intriguing stuff:
   1. Clipping, panning, zooming, unearthly slow on files with complexity more than medium.
   2. On GPU Preview - Illustrator is not using all the system resources in a balanced way (Nor CPU nor GPU) > It's only flooding the RAM (i've got 64) and when stuffing an artwork under multiple clipping paths, the RAM exponetially get's occupied, even though i CTRL+C just once. > The only solution to step back the RAM occupation is (funny) switching to CPU Preview
   3. RAM Overkill (as stated above) > ending abruptly with Illustrator Crash.

   The PC build is more than decent (12900K, 64 DDR4 of Ram G.Skill, 3080Ti, 980 SSD's)

   Problem is present most of the time but it is exponential with the complexity and size of the file.
   On the complex file i show in the videos, you can see how sluggish illustrator is, and how much latency it has, versus Affinity Designer 2 which has some sort of different interpretation when zooming and panning.
   This is a 600 Mb file with indeed a lot of data inside.

   So this has become tottally unnaceptable adobe.

5. GPU performance issues on Mac mini with second display attached

   I am having problems with GPU performance on my Mac mini (Apple M2, 16GB) with two displays attached.

   For example, when I move an object by using the arrow keys in quick succession, the artwork often does not refresh correctly. If I wait a while (sometimes about half a second) or press any key (e.g. the space bar), the artwork will update.

   Disconnecting the second display, resolves the problem. Also using the CPU to preview solves it.

   After further investigation, I found that it was not just the second monitor that was causing the Illustrator preview to stutter: I am using the same space for both monitors (see “Displays have separate Spaces” https://support.apple.com/en-us/guide/mac-help/mh14112/mac) – if I change this in the system preferences to use different spaces, the problem disappears.

6. Delay and Unresponsiveness in Help Search Function

   OS: macOS Sonoma 14.1 - Adobe Illustrator 28.0

   I am experiencing a persistent issue with the Help drop-down menu in Adobe Illustrator. Whenever I attempt to use the search function within this menu, the program becomes unresponsive for a prolonged period. This issue occurs consistently on the initial use of the search feature during a session.

   To Reproduce: Open Adobe Illustrator, click on the 'Help' drop-down menu, type any query into the search bar.

   Expected Result: The search function should respond promptly, displaying results as the query is typed.

   Actual Result: Upon entering the first character in the search bar, the entire Illustrator application becomes unresponsive for an extended period. After this pause, the program displays results. Subsequent uses of the search function within the same session are issue-free.

   The issue occurs on the first use of the search function in every new session of Adobe Illustrator.

   As far as I can tell, this problem is exclusive to Adobe Illustrator and does not occur in other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

   The issue persists even after restarting the application and the system, resetting preferences, and uninstalling and reinstalling the program.

7. Illustrator crashes when using rotate tool

   Using the rotate tool to rotate something freezes while rotating, and Illustrator never comes back (tried waiting for hours). Using rotate dialog box from the menu has no problem.

8. Display different colors even though the color profiles match.

   OS: macOS Ventura 13.6.1
   Software: Illustrator CC 2023, Indesign CC 2023, Photoshop CC 2024

   Steps to Reproduce:

   Step 1:
   Set a unified color profile across all CC applications using Bridge (In this case, Adobe RGB + Japan Color 2011 Coated were used).

   Step 2:
   Create an image in Photoshop in RGB mode with a solid cyan color (#00ffff), embed the color profile, and save it.

   Step 3:
   Place the image created in Photoshop into Indesign and check the values when converted to CMYK in Overprint Preview.

   Step 4:
   Repeat the process from step 3 in Illustrator.

   Expected Result:
   Both Indesign and Illustrator should output the RGB image in CMYK with the same values (in this case, the calculation would be C69, Y31).

   Actual Result:
   Indesign shows the expected result (C69, Y31).
   However, Illustrator outputs different values (C64, Y25).

   Additional Observations:

   This discrepancy is apparent both on-screen and in direct printouts or when exported to PDF (X1a).
   If the color profile is not embedded in the PSD, Illustrator outputs the image as C69, Y31.
   The color profile matching method (Perceptual, Relative Colorimetric, etc.) is set to Perceptual, but the incorrect results in Illustrator match the values of a Relative Colorimetric conversion.
   This suggests that Illustrator is not displaying placed images correctly according to the set configuration.
   I am sharing the files used in this test for reference.

11. Artwork moves separately from its artboard when Undo is called

    when you move an artboard and have 'move artwork with artboard' checked in the properties panel (and in preferences) everything works going from point A to B. Unfortunately when you want to undo your work and use the key command 'command z' the artboard moves back to its' original location but the artwork does NOT. you have to use 'command z' several more times for the artwork to reposition itself to its original position. This makes no sense. why are 2 items that were moved at the same time in one pass not reposition themselves (back to pt. A) in one pass? This is a bug!

12. Find and Replace text results in unwanted repeated characters

    Illustrator v 28.0
    Mac OS Ventura 13.4.1

    Using the Edit > Find and Replace... function to search for and remove text results in the first character after the removed text to be repeated. For example:

    Old text: Lorem Singapore / Lorem Hong Kong / Lorem Australia
    Find "Lorem " and replace with nothing
    Result: SSingapore / HHong Kong / AAustralia

13. Can't access any of the toolbar elements since Updating to new Mac OS

    When I click on any of the elements in the left-hand toolbar nothing happens except sometimes it pulls me out of Illustrator entirely, as if I clicked on the desktop. Also the cursor appears to be off by an full inch. I don't if that issue is related, but I only started having these issues after I updated my computer to the latest Mac OS two days ago. Can you please let me know when this will be fixed. I have clients waiting for designs and I can't create anything in Illustrator at the moment. (Checked and Illustrator is up to date, Mac OS Sonoma 14.1.1)

14. With GPU enabled, the screen flashes when panned

    Windows 11 Pro, AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, 64,0 GB, AMD Radeon PRO W6400

    With GPU enabled, the screen flashes every time you swipe. and most of the effects look like on the screenshot.

16. Cursor indicator jumps from linked text boxes

    When I try to move the cursor between text in linked text boxes, the cursor instead jumps to the first text box. This is seen particularly when selecting a space in the text, or when trying to move the cursor to the front of a text line within a linked text box.

17. Dash offset defined by a negative strokeDashOffset value is not respected when a stroke is outlined

    Illustrator has a strokeDashOffset property that sets the indentation of the first stroke in the dashed line.

    It works when specified through the script, but there is no similar field in the interface of dashed line settings, i.e. it looks like a hidden functionality. It’s still legal and it works, but at the same time, a dashed line created with this parameter cannot be outlined correctly using standard Illustrator tools when the value is negative.

    It's a cursed property: it's a pity to ignore it, and it's a shame to use it because of its unreliability.

    Please fix the bug and make the Expand Stroke to respect the setting.

18. Menu items missing

    I guess this is a bug, but a lot of items are missing from the menus on my Illustrator. The ones I notice most are Window and Object, I'm not sure if stuff is missing from the other menus as well. I have everything up to date, and I'm on Windows 11, version 23H2.

19. PDF files made on large artboards get downscaled incorrectly.

    When exporting a PDF from a document that's set to "large artboard" the resolution of linked images will get downsampled 10x as much.

    In the screenshots I've provided an example of an Illustrator document that's set to large artboard mode. Artboard is an A4 format with an image that's 300 DPI.

    I then export the PDF saying it should downsample images to 300 DPI.

    Once I open up the PDF in an InDesign document of the same size, you'll see the linked file appears 10x smaller. Not only that, but if you look closely at the image, you'll see that it became really pixelated due to it being effectively 30 DPI instead of 300 now.

    I propose that the downsampling feature should take large artboards into account, and make sure that images remain 300 DPI after the PDF export.
