crashes consistently
Illustrator is crashing repeatedly with the latest update. I'm on a Mac with Mojave 10.14.5, my coworkers are on PC's and we're all crashing since the latest Illustrator update. No consistency to the tasks we are doing in ai to make it crash. Please fix!

Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened
Upon opening program, error displays "Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened." I did research suggesting to open terminal and typing "$ ulimit" but I get "unlimited" as the output. The forum then suggested to report this bug here.
System: Mac Pro Late 2013
OS: Mac OS Mojave (10.14.4)

Generic Color Palate
I am using the newest version of Illustrator. Within the last week or so, my generic CMYK color palette has changed. The percentages that make up the color are different on nearly every color. My black color swatch used to be 100% black. Now it is C:74.97 M:67.92 Y:67.05 K:90.15. Everything in my document is set to CMYK. I changed nothing. My yellow is C:6.18 Y:96.55. Distribute Anchor Points not always working
When all Anchor Points of a Path are selected, Ai automatically assummes an Object selection, stopping the possibility to make use of the Distribute Anchor Points function.

Can't search on network drives within Illustrator on macOS
Hi,
I realized that when I'm working with Illustrator and some item is missing I can't use the finder search function within the network drive so I can reallocate it. It doesn't find anything but if I search on the local drive it searchs just fine. Also if I search from the Finder (directly on macOS, not from Illustrator) on the network drive it finds the files just fine so the bug is within Illustrator. It's also happening with InDesign.
The problem is also happening on my other iMac as well.

Direct Selection tool not working correctly after image trace
After using the image trace tool and selecting either high or low fidelity, sometimes the direct selection tool stops working correctly. Although you can still use it, it doesn't highlight the points when you actually click on an object. Once you create a new project it works but it stays broken in the old project forever.

Cannot export large files to .png format at 300dpi
I’m using the command: File > Export As > PNG
Use artboards: Not selected
Resolution: High (300dpi)
Ahti-Aliasing: None
Background Color: TransparentI have an immediate need to export Illustrator files of roughly 8000 px by 6500px to .png format at 300dpi. I tried doing this with a file containing a complicated drawing, but it fails and displays an error box saying:
The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error [!now]

Objects in a clipping mask do not respect "Object Selection By Path Only".
Reproduction steps:
- Draw a filled shape.
- Use Draw Inside to draw another filled shape inside it.
- In the 'Selection And Anchor Display' pane of the prefs, ensure that 'Object Selection By Path Only' is checked.
- Click and drag with the Selection or Direct Selection tools in a part of the first object that does not contain the second object. Note that nothing gets selected unless you drag over the first object's path.
- Click and drag with one of those tools in a part of the first object that does contain the second object. Do not cross any of the paths…

Rotate tool dialogue box won't appear
After selecting the rotate tool, rotate dialogue box won't appear.
a dialogue box will appear only if I double click on the rotate tool but then I am not able to move the anchor point to the center of the object.
6 votesAs per the comment, the way to call the dialog and to define the arbitrary rotation pivot is to Opt/Alt+Click the desired position when the tool is picked.

Bounding Box resetting automatically if a compound path is included in a selection — ruins workflow
Normally in Illustrator, the bounding box is locked to the orientation of an object until you manually reset the bounding box. I am experiencing a bug in Adobe CC 23.0.3 where the bounding box of an object, or group of objects in this case, resets immediately after a rotation. This prevents me from executing the standard task of rotating an object, then scaling it horizontally using the bounding box to create the correct perspective (see video).

Problem with raster effects printing
We have had to outlaw the use of raster effects here because of the distortion they cause when an AI file is saved as a PDF.
Our workflow for printing is the save our work from Illustrator as a PDF file which is then placed in an InDesign document. Any raster effects used in the graphic end up adding lines the edge of the effect as well as shifting the colors touched by the effect.

File that exports in CS6 does not in CC
Using Adobe CC (tried all versions to date) I cannot export a .ai file to a CMYK tiff at 600 dpi. I receive the following error "The operation cannot complete because there isn’t enough memory (RAM) available."
The exact same file is exporting in CS6 without issue (CMYK tiff@600dpi).
Computer has 32GB RAM of which approximately 12GB are free at the time of the error.
Illustrator is a fresh install on a new computer (Win 10 Pro). Scratch disk set to secondary drive, no other additions or changes to Adobe.

Scaling / rendering bug - Pucker & Bloat
workpath: make circle -> add anchor points ->pucker&bloat -> cut the circle in two -> join path -> new circle -> minus front -> scaling = error (see images)

Uniform (centered) Scale // Bounding Box // Wacom Driver Issues
Uniform (centered) scale issues while using the bounding box together with "shift+option" keys (Mac OS) for scaling, seem to occure while having older Wacom Drivers installed. It does not happen when working with a Mouse or using the Touch Pad for Example on a Wacom Intuos Touch. Pen input only reproduces this issue with older drivers.
