  1. Cant see entire font list in gyphs tab?

    When I open a New Document and want to view glyphs font list with Entire Fonts selected the lower drop-down doesn't change?! The only way I can get it working is by selecting one of the Adobe templates then go to Gylphs tab and then the font drop-down menu works. Odd, then after that all of my new documents work in the Gylphs tab that didn't work previously?! Once I close Illustrator I'm back to square one again. I have exactly the same set up as 2 colleagues I work with and theirs work from the off.

  2. Batch in Actions strips the action's effects and results in no file preview

    If I manually start an action for a file, I have a preview for the resulting re-saved file and it has been altered properly based upon my action steps. But, if I batch files with the action, no preview is generated and my file has not taken on any of the the changes the action gives it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I think there's a huge bug with this function.

  3. Eye dropper not applying proper color/hex from Adobe Color Themes panel

    I'm using the latest Illustrator v23.03. When selecting colors from the Adobe Color Themes panel, it does not copy the correct color hex to the selected item in my document. In the attached file, which I've scaled up for easier viewing, the square tiles represent the proper color within the Adobe Color Themes panel, with each overlaying the incorrect color Illustrator is copying over when selected. As you can see, there is a major discrepancy. This does not happen with all themes...some copy over perfectly, but many (in my case) do not. I've tried adjusting color profiles to see if…

  4. Can't open files from Windows File Explorer

    Files will no longer open from Windows File Explorer. Double clicking on file names does not work, dragging them into Illustrator does not work. Only the menu FILE > OPEN works. Please fix this.

  5. Recolor not working on items within a clipping mask

    Items inside of clipping masks do not get recolored like they used to using the Recolor tool. You have to directly select them now and manually recolor.

  6. Bringing object forward with (Ctrl + ] ) nudges left/right instead of bringing forward.

    There is an Illustrator bug I have previously and am currently experiencing that makes an object nudge to the right/left when trying to bring an object forward. I've had this happen on Windows 7 and Windows 10. There is obviously a workaround for this, i.e. View Outlines > Select > Bring object to front / Cut Paste in Front / Paste in Back, Save and Restart Illustrator etc. but it is counterproductive to efficiency.

    Background: I'm a 10 year+ agency professional who specializes in UI design, illustration and branding.

  7. Character panel issue

    I can not open the character panel. It flashes briefly a couple seconds after clicking on it, but then disappears. I'm running version 23.0.3 on Windows 10

  8. Illustrator is changing around my CMYK values in saved swatches

    Illustrator is changing around my CMYK values in saved swatches... For example. I punch in the CMYK values for PMS 427... and hit save... Then when I bring up the file it is completely different values

  10. Text file saved from Document Info palette is not supporting file names in Japanese

    Environment: Windows 10 2018 (originally in Japanese but using English language pack)
    So I'm using CC 2019 in English and when Illustrator saves the Document Info, all files that have names in Japanese will not show up properly in the text.
    I suggest support for Unicode or other more capable standard.

  11. Freeform gradient fill disappears after outline stroke

    1. Windows 10 Pro version 1809 OS build 17763.475 running Illustrator 23.0.3
    2. Make a shape. Fill it with a freeform gradient. Add a stroke. Use Object > Path > Outline Stroke.
    3. The stroke should be converted to a path and the fill should be untouched.
    4. When the stroke was converted to a path, the freeform gradient fill disappeared.

  12. Magnetism on bezier points

    Today, there is no magnetism on bezier points and it is very annoying when you're drawing. Magnetism only works with anchor points (and not bezier points). Here is a GIF showing the problem.

  13. Links Delay

    iMac, Mojave 10.14, Illustrator 23.0.3

    When I select any link whether it be on the artboard or on the links panel, it has a slight delay. Not sure when exactly this changed but it wasnt always like this, i was able to relink one right after another with zero delay and now im not able to do that. I have 2 Examples.

    1. When I select a link file from the artboard, it takes about 2-3 seconds before its shown selected on the links panel. This is a problem because if i try to Relink within those 2-3 seconds, it wont…

  14. Artboard color and palletes not showing correctly onscreen

    Each time my CC updates my swatches and artboard color is off. Adobe techs went in remotely and fixed it once. My CMYK Red looks like Magenta on screen. Reg Black looks Navy blue. PLEASE FIX THIS!!

  15. Frozen shapes and text boxes

    When I am creating shapes or text boxes, the box freezes. Meaning I cannot resize or scale it, but I can drag it freely. All four corners turn blue as if I used the direct selection tool to select all four corners but I have not. This sometimes solves itself when I exit out of illustrator and open it back up. Sometimes I have to uninstall illustrator and reinstall it to solve the problem. Regardless, it happens at least once a day. And my job relies HEAVILY on illustrator to complete time sensitive projects. PLEASE help me find a solution…

  17. Hang/Freeze when trying to open an Illustrator file with a placed PDF/Image

    1. MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and Illustrator 23.x.x
    2. Opening an Illustrator file. (It doesn't matter if Illustrator is already open or not.)
    3. The expected result is that the file will open as normal.
    4. Actual result is Illustrator hangs/freezes for upwards of 15-20 minutes before it will open the file.

    As i mentioned in the title, this only happens when I am trying to open an Illustrator file that has a placed PDF inside. Specifically they are Nutritional Facts panels or Supplement Facts panels that were built in InDesign and exported as PDFs. Then the PDFs are placed on product labels in…

  19. Mutiple profiles & Artboards

    Illustrator Version: CC 2019 (23.0.3)
    Mac: Mojave (10.14.2) 5k 27" 32gb Ram

    Firstly there are 3 Film & Video profile dropdowns (1. Film & Video, 2. Film and Video, 3. Video and Film). Not sure why.

    No matter what general preset I use or artboard size preset I choose I get 2 artboards.

    1 artboard is the correct size and the other is basically the complete canvas area.

    I am constantly having to delete the 2nd artboard.

    Can I stop this from happening?

  20. Running an Action from script

    Hello,
    In Illustrator CC latest update, my following script does not work:
    1- Select a couple paths (in script) (all of them close paths in different groups)
    2- execute my action which offset paths with certain amount

    The problem is in this new version after the action dis-select all of them except one, but before this version it worked and keep all of my selection paths still as selected ( by path I mean the new offset paths, but for all of them)

    It really made trouble for my script in the company, because some computer still does not have…
