  1. unchecking "use document bleed settings" box in "Save Adobe PDF" does not remove the bleed from the saved file.

    version illustrator 30.1
    windows 11
issue also replicated on illustrator 30.0 on a mac
1: create new document with some amount of bleed in "document setup"
2: save as .pdf will bring up "Save Adobe PDF" Dialog
3: uncheck "use document bleed settings" box and save the .pdf
4: open document saved in step 3, it still has the document bleeds that should have been removed by unchecking the "use document bleed settings" box

the print dialog box also has the use document bleed settings check box, it works correctly when I print to a .pdf file with the "use…

  2. Breaks in gradients along/across strokes / meshes not rendering/pixels missing

I'm having issues with exporting artwork from Illustrator, which features a stroke (100pt, round cap) with a gradient (2x colours in gradient, applied along the stroke).

    My operating system:
    MacOS Tahoe 26.2

The version of Adobe Illustrator (desktop):
    • V30.1and a version 2x updates before
    • A member of the Adobe support group tested my supplied file against other versions of Illustrator and found it is reproducible in at least Illustrator 2023.

The steps you were taking when you experienced the issues:
    1. Selected File > Export > Export as
    2. Selected ‘PNG’ from format dropdown
    3. Selected ‘Use Artboards’,…

  3. Libraries Panel Freeze & Distortion Glitch

Persistent issue occurring on operating system: macOS Sequoia 15.7.2 with model: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021)
Occasionally occurring up on brand new computer macOS Sequoia 15.7.2 with model: MacBook Pro (16-in, 2025)
Both computers are on Adobe Illustrator Version: 30.0 (issue also occurred on 29.6.1)

    Steps to Reproduce:
    - Launch Adobe Illustrator.
    - Open the Libraries panel (Window > Libraries).
    - Work in Illustrator for a period of time (issue does not occur immediately but happens consistently enough throughout day to interrupt working ability).
    - Attempt to interact with the Libraries panel.

Expected Result: The Libraries panel should display correctly and…

  4. Dotted Guides are not precise in GPU preview

Guides should allow us to be sure about alignment.
And while in CPU it’s mostly true, in GPU preview dotted guides get drawn 1 pixel off.
These should perfectly overlap the edges of the object aligned!

    Look at the GIF attached

If you notice a bug with the bounding bounding box not getting displayed when I select the rectangle in the CPU Preview mode — it’s a separate Beta-only bug, reported here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/939477/suggestions/50759876

  5. Zoom in and out is slow

In the last version of Illustrator (30.0 on Windows 11), the zoom (mouse, keyboard) does not work appropriately (very slow), making the use of the software almost impossible. This bug was not existing in former version (29.x). Unticking graphics acceleration in parameters panel makes it even worse.
My config: Windows 11 (French), Intel I9, 32Gbytes of RAM, NVidia Geforce 4080 (581.29)
    Please solve rapidly this bug.

  6. Enclosed Selection mode should work in isolation using the correct scope

Illustrator today allows to make Enclosed Selection Mode a permanent option, with with the Select Objects only within Marquee option, in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display, as was requested here and in a separate request at http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/49503929

But I still can’t use it fully today.
I isolate often, and Selection tool does not allow to use Enclosed mode when isolated. For some strange reason it requires the Group Selection tool to do so, as if my scope stays at the document level, and I’m no in isolation! Make Selection tool work in Enclosed mode in isolation, please.

  7. Tilde key for transforming patterns moves the whole shape instead of the fill clipped to it

Holding down the tilde key ~ when direct selecting a pattern filled object used to give you the option to interactively transform the pattern inside the object. It would override the transform settings for patterns and give you a live preview when transforming (move/scale/rotate) the pattern only.
This behaves different when moving the pattern in the 2025 and 2026 versions. It will move the object and the pattern and snap the object back when the mouse is released.
    See: https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/moving-a-pattern-inside-a-shape/m-p/15580218#M457374

  8. Pasting an object with perceptual gradient applied expands it and converts into an image

    1. Create a rectangle and fill it with a gradient (liner/radial)
    2. In the gradient panel, change the method from Classic to Perceptual
    3. Copy the object
    4. Paste the object

Check the Appearance panel — it’d show the object is now an image, with the original perceptual fill tucked under the pixels!
And if the object had a stroke, it becomes a group with a stroke in it separated.

  9. High GPU load on macOS 26 Tahoe

Laggy performance and high GPU load.
Upon investigation, issue isolated to WindowServer when Adobe Illustrator is running, with or without a document open.

  11. Fonts change after reopening Illustrator file

I created a mailer in Illustrator with around 10–12 artboards and exported everything perfectly with the correct fonts. When I reopened the same file after two days to make changes, all the fonts had changed automatically, some text had disappeared, and the layout no longer matched my earlier exported JPGs. The fonts were installed and displaying correctly at the time of the first export, so the issue only appeared after reopening the saved file. I’ve attached the before/after GIF to show the difference.

  13. Scroll wheel over Opacity input field only affects selected object if the input is NOT focused

    1. Switch to the CPU preview, or use the GPU preview and turn off 'real-time drawing & editing'.
    2. Make an object. Keep it selected.
    3. Hover your cursor over the opacity numeric input box in Transparency or Properties. Play with your scroll wheel. Watch the opacity change.
    4. Click in the input box. Keep the cursor over it. Play with your scroll wheel. The number changes but the object does not, until you hit return.
    5. Try this in Illustrator 2020. Observe that in both steps 3 and 4, the object changes opacity regardless of whether you click on the opacity input box or…

  14. The name of the missing link gets trimmed from the left side in the file name field in the dialog

But why the name of the link in File Name field in the dialog gets displayed trimmed from the left side, even though the input has PLENTY of space in my dialog window?
    This behavior is not new.
I have my guesses that it’s a legacy behavior, to make sure the name is seen on a smaller screen in the smallest dialog... but Ai probably knows the size of the dialog window and can calculate if it fits?

  15. Cursor stays invisible after exiting Presentation mode

    How to reproduce:
    Create a multiple artboard document.
    Enter presentation mode.
    Do not move the mouse.
Use the left and right arrow keys to view all the art boards.
Note that windows will make the mouse cursor invisible since you are not using it.
Press ESC to return to normal viewing/editing mode.
Now the mouse cursor is invisible.

Work around: If you go back to presentation mode and wiggle the mouse and press ESC while the mouse is visible then the mouse will be visible in normal screen mode.

  16. Holding Shift ignores Snap to Grid when creating artboards

When Snap to Grid is enabled, artboards now respect it, both when moved or get created... unless you hold Shift to constrain proportions when resizing or making it a square.

Totally works for rectangles, I can see no reason to prevent artboards from behaving in a similar fashion.

Here’s a somewhat similar request about these also misbehaving with smart guides:

  17. Pencil tool preview not showing

Hello, in illustrator 29.4 and 29.5 (on windows 11 pro) I can't preview the path while i am drawing with the pencil tool. I checked all the settings and everything is set to see it. I had to downgrade to illustrator 29.2 to use it again

  18. Strokes smaller than 1 pt (or 1 mm) become zero when Stroke Weight down arrow key button is used

If you set a stroke to 1 pt and click Stroke Weight down arrow key button, it correctly goes to the next smaller value from the dropdown — 0.75 pt.
But if you do the same with 0.95 or anything smaller than 1 pt, clicking this button instantly makes it zero, skipping all the smaller values.

It’s even worse if you set stroke units to be non-points — even though there are plenty of smaller values in the dropdown, and 1 mm is much larger than a point, it goes 0 too.

While Cmd/Ctrl+arrow (not recorded) works fine with points,…

  20. Adding new anchors with Pen tool when Snap to Grid is enabled is treated wrong and inconsistently

Illustrator allows to snap stuff to grid, but really doesn’t love doing it (here’s a request about the tolerance and how it’s to harsh in general: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/49616738)

Here in a GIF I’m creating a simple path with anchors placed on a grid. After closing the shape, I decide to add several points in-between, and have them on the grid as well... but the only anchor I can place normally is the one in the middle, that happen to be exactly (within an unknow tolerance) at the intersection of the grid lines (and the cursor gets a + to indicate…
