1. Applying a material to an extruded object says it’s not enough RAM

   I apparently don't have enough RAM to do this. I'm trying to add a material to the border of the left file, it's a fill not a stoke... I have 96GB of RAM.... I am apparently using 26GB of memory. 70 Gb of RAM Should really be enough for almost anything I would think. Please let me know if there's a way I can use these tools if not I'll have to go back to my client and say "Adobe can't do it" once again.

2. GPU glitch / flicker / spinning wheel lag while moving artboards (since Illustrator 29.8.3 - 30.0)

   There is an annoying bug with GPU glitch / flicker / spinning wheel lag while moving artboards (since Illustrator 29.8.3 - 30.0)

   1. Choose artboard tool
   2. Move artboard

   glitch and laggy movement

   How to fix this?
   (It is absolutely NO option to turn of GPU ussage!)

3. Command+V not working in Pantone Connect

   I just had an automatic update for Illustrator version [30.0], and since then, copying the hex code and pasting with shortcut Command+V is not working in the Pantone Connect extension. It seems that it is working with a right click of the mouse, but does anyone have an idea why the shortcut is not working anymore, as this was way faster?
   I'm on Apple M4 Pro 24GB Version 15.6.1 (24G90).

4. Switching keyboard layout with Win32 API message hangs Illustrator.

   When I switch the keyboard layout to non-English, using the Win32 API SendMessage/PostMessage WM_INPUTLANGCHANGEREQUEST (0x50), Illustrator crashes.

6. Text style in a mess when editing text. They appear ok in Preview mode. I can't complete the task or job.

   I am trying to edit this text in illustrator 29.7.1. Each time a type, make an amendment to the existing text it scrambles all of the settings and messes everything up (please see screenshots of before and after). I've tried to output to PDF but this also displays in a mess. Please let me know if there is a fix so I don't have to abandon this job and start again. Thanks, D

7. Show pixel grid above 600 zoom not working

9. Split Into Grid adds printable lines instead of guides

   In Split Into Grid window there's an option to "add guides". But instead of guides lines are added that have standard stroke — printable lines that are conveniently in neutral greenish color 0,1 pt stroke and look like guides so it's easy to miss that.

10. Unable to export blank canvas using 'Export to Screen Multiple Formats'

    Cannot export blank canvas using 'Export to Screen Multiple Formats'.
    When making a brochure, one page is blank, but when using "Export to Screen Multiple Formats" to export, it prompts that a blank canvas cannot be exported.

11. Swatch Info renders a saved tint as yet another copy of the main global color

    The feature doesn't work correctly with tints for global colors.
    When a new tint of a global color is saved into Swatches, it gets displayed as an un-tinted one by Swatch Info, as the image shows.

12. Joining two paths completely ruins brush width/variable stroke width profiles

    1. Draw a path with a pressure-sensitive brush. Draw another one that begins near where the first one ends.
    2. Select the ends of both paths. Object > Join.

    3. Wonder why the resulting pressure profile bears no resemblance to what you had on screen before the join.

    I think it might be just grabbing the pressure/width profiles from the topmost stroke and applying that to the entire joined path. Which is not what I think anyone would expect, I feel like the expected behavior is that a new stroke has a pressure/width profile generated by appending the first path's profile to the second.

    I'm super surprised there isn't an entry for this in UserVoice that I can find. Maybe I'm just no good at searching this thing. Maybe there's a ton of bug reports in the old bug database from before uservoice. Remember that thing? Where it was just a form on Adobe's site that you could type stuff into with no idea if anyone ever saw it? Wikipedia tells me UserVoice launched in 2008, two years before variable-width strokes were introduced in 2010, but I dunno when Adobe started using it. And of course this behavior has existed for pressure-sensitive brushes since 1998 when brushes were first introduced back in Illustrator 8. I dunno when the Join tool first appeared, I started with Illustrator 8 and I assume it goes back to like v1 or 2.

    Anyway. Now there's a bug for this. I wrote it up because a new user just asked what they assumed was an incredibly stupid noob question on the Illustrator subreddit and I got to tell them that no, they're not missing a weird corner of the docs, Illustrator just bungles this incredibly basic operation because Adobe has had zero attention to detail for twenty-seven years.

13. Documents don't open

    If I create a new document the dialog appears and I select the option and hit OK. Then the screen does not show the document. Only a gray screen. The same happens when I try to open an existent document. I have to close and and open several times until it opens or create the document.

14. Strokes with a profile and have the rounded corners selected end up having pointy corners

    The corners of my strokes should have a rounded corner but the moment I adjust the profile with the width tool they turn all pointy

    Tengo windows 10, Ram de 8GB, Disco ssd de 900GB, procesador corel i5.
    Ajusto los divisores de la cuadricula pero al crearla, los divisores verticales cambian aleatoriamente la cantidad, por números mucho más grandes. Adjunto video.

16. Eyedropper not working when object is within nested groups

    Illustrator V. 29.1
    MacOS Ventura 13.6.2

    I need to be able to direct select objects that are within nested groups and then eyedropper to change how only that object looks. This feature doesn't work correctly and I don't want to have to click + click + click + click + click to get into the isolated object for every single shape I need to do this on every day. 17. The vertical text get reversed in an exported PDF

    July 2025 PDF export worked now when I export a PDF if a number is vertical it won't read it correctly for ex. 42 will read it as 24 it only happens with vertical text numbers

18. Holding Shift ignores Snap to Grid when creating artboards

    When Snap to Grid is enabled, artboards now respect it, both when moved or get created... unless you hold Shift to constrain proportions when resizing or making it a square.

    Totally works for rectangles, I can see no reason to prevent artboards from behaving in a similar fashion.

19. Using Inflate with 3D & Materials gives a [Clr?] error

    Ever since it was introduced, I haven't been able to access the new 3D & Materials (only the classic version). With any attempt I make to eg. inflate I get this error message: 'The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error [Clr?]'. I use Illustrator 29.6.1 on a Mac Mini M1.

20. AI2025 v29.7.1 bug: SVG 1.1 is not accurately rendering

    AI2025 v29.7.1 bug: SVG 1.1 is not accurately rendering vector files. Even upping the decimal places, it's downsampling vectors and oversimplifying more detailed curves. Reverting to SVG 1.0 works fine. Please fix this!
