1. Editing size of library element is broken: modifying canvas size in CC library object changes the object's scale in existing documents

   To replicate this, create a square with a fill and no stroke in a new document. Drag the square into the library panel to create a library element. Drag an instance of the library element you just created back into the document. You will have two identical squares, one which is just a plain square, the other which is a library element.

   Edit the library element and make it a different height. Save the changes and go back to the document. The library element is now not the same width as the original square, although you didn't edit that. If you select the library element in the document, go to the properties panel, click on linked file and expand all info, you will see that it's scale has changed. It is no longer 100%.

   If you add a new instance of the library element, it will be scaled 100%.

2. Illustrator CC 2018 crashes, when process runs in Batch.

   I have a programmed a project that involves opening document, doing some changes, saving and closing the document. And again this process repeats on around 500 documents. Illustrator crashes.

3. brush pressure issue

   so, i recently just bought this new tablet (GAOMON M106K), so i could make some drawings but when i started to use it with the pressure it randomly puts off these dot like ends for the lines. This is really getting me frustrated because i cant find anyone who has this problem, it inst the pen or tablet either because i have tried it on different software and its perfect. If anyone could get back to me that would be great

4. symbols are not displayed

   I have a problem with symbols which I use frequently to have consistent UI.
   The problem happens sometimes that when reopened a file (package) after some time the symbol is not displayed! To see the symbol I need to enter it & exit symbol mode after that while I am in the file everything is fine till next time I enter the symbol!!!

5. Illustrator 22.1 hangs on start; reinstall only fix I can find

   I have a late 2013 Mac Pro, running OS 10.13.5. This problem started about 2 months ago for no apparent reason. When I'm done with Illustrator for the day, I'll quit the application. It may be a couple of days before I have to re-enter illustrator. Most of the time this works, but now, randomly, upon clicking on the application on the launch bar, the splash screen comes up and then the app appears to load, but no start window appears. The illustrator menu bar is there, but is grayed out and you can mouse over the menu bar options which will even drop down when clicked but they are all grayed out as well. The only way I can quit the program is to force quit. I've tried restarting to see if that will fix the issue, with no success. The only thing that fixes it is uninstalling from the creative cloud menu, and then reinstalling. I've had to do this 5 times in the last 2 months and its getting really frustrating. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

7. Illustrator is not frozen but you can't see anything you're doing to your work

   Since the update I have had a lot of issues when creating art. Everything starts smoothly, I can see everything I'm doing in real time and can see which brush strokes I'm creating. A little ways through drawing, I can no longer see my brush strokes. I can click other options in illustrator (i.e. select layers, lock and unlock, hover over options etc.) and do other things in the process but I can't see anything that i'm actually doing to my artwork! I have to restart the program almost every ten minutes and it's driving me absolutely mad. Is there a solution for this? Is this happening to anyone else?

8. Delete Color Group in Swatches ungroups group instead deleting

   When I need to completely delete color group, I select it and press Delete palette's button (or try palette's menu). Any way. AI moves all colors from it to general colors, removing only the folder, but not colors, asking nothing (even with warnings reset).
   I have to deselect my art, click first of moved colors, Shift+click the last one and delete swathes again.

10. Unable to click on colour swatches in colour guide panel with Wacom Intuos pen

    It has been a couple of years now, and I still can't click on the swatches in the Colour Guide panel using my Wacom Intuos Pro Pen. It works fine if I'm using the touch setting to select the colour swatch but the pen will not allow me to select a swatch. I 3 pens and none of them allow me to do this. This issue has been ongoing with this tablet and pen and my previous one. I can't get a straight answer from Wacom or Adobe, they both claim it is the other that is at fault. No update to either computer or tablet has made any difference to this issue. I'm running all the latest software on brand new computers using High Sierra 10.13.5. Machine Imac Retina 5K, 27 inch, 2017 3.8ghz intel core i5, Radeon Pro 580 8192 MB, 40 GB 2400 MHz DDR4. But in listing all that it doesn't work on my Macbook Pro 17 Inch 2011 either or my Macbook Air. Is this a bug other people are having an issue with...it must be?!

11. Devanagari scripts

    The use of devanagari scripts in most Creative Suite is really laborious. It took me a long time before finding the way to have a correct display of simple copy/paste from Word or any other source of hindi or sanskrit texts by adjusting, in TWO différents dialog boxes the appropriate settings. I finally found the way to do it but, as I wanted to use a composition in a webpage, I exported my composition as SVG, and the result was just terrible: no word was correctly spelled and I had to retype all of them in Dreamweaver (which has a ton of bugs, but poses no problem with devanagari script!).

    So, please make this feature work!

12. Recent Files Browser Window: the wrong file opens when choosing a recent file

    This has happened multiple times. It isn't a one off incident.

    Adobe Illustrator CC 22.1 (64-bit) / Windows 10

    Step 1: Open Illustrator from desktop icon.
    Step 2: Click on a recent file from displayed recent file options.

    Expected result: Selected file opens.

    Actual result: A file other than the one I clicked opens.

    There doesn't appear to be a pattern to which file opens, other than it is one from the selection of recently opened/saved files shown. See attachment.

    Especially when my selection is rather large, I easily end up with a blocked screen and the only thing i see is the rotating cursor.
    A hard reboot is the only solution I can do.....

    How do I deal with the Adobe Illustrator error message "Adobe Illustrator has found an error it can't correct"? It shows up for one Illustrator file but not others. Why does it give me this pop up every time?

17. CMYK sliders don't work when decimals appear

    Mac OSX High Sierra Version 10.13.5 Adobe Illustrator 22.1
    I am new this month to Adobe Illustrator.
    I have been able to use my app for only 3 days in the last 3 weeks. I have a 2 second wheel of death whenever decimals appear instead of the normal number percentages. A few things happen when the decimals appear, either trying to use the sliders freezes the screen as it fades, or I can move the sliders and the decimals disappear, (3 days only), or I have just the decimals and cannot change the colors. Note the shade of yellow that has been clicked on and is recorded as decimals.
    I am new to taking screenshots, so if I did it wrong let me know please. Thank you for your time and effort.

18. Thick Stroke and Spikes

    Windows 10 HP; Adobe Illustrator CC;
    1st Problem: Thick Stroke
    Everytime I make an outline, its a huge stroke when it only says its suppose to be 1 pt. I don't know if I messed with the settings or something but can someone please tell me how to fix it.
    2nd problem: I'm trying to make watercolor background and when I try to add a gradient to my brush strokes it completely ruins the stroke and freezes the program! Please help! I don't know anything about computers so I'm such a beginner!

    1. In version 22.1 there is no anymore option for Type > Change Case > UPPERCASE in Keyboard Shortcuts.
