Cannot use alt with eyedropper to apply sampled style to other sections of text
Cannot use alt with eyedropper to apply sampled appearance to other objects
Mac OS High Serra 10.13.3
Illustrator CC 2018 (22.1)I used to (in CS6) be able to copy a text style by using the eyedropper once and then holding alt to apply it to other sections (the eyedropper icon would be mirrored left-right when holding alt).
Now if I hold alt, I'm getting the hand (pan) tool.
How can I get the "apply style" tool instead please?
NB: it still works with objects (background of text area in the example video), but not with text anymore.

illustrator jagged line
line and text look jagged and I tried all the settings change by researching in the internet, but nothing fixed it. this problem is persisting for the last two days.

but the line and text are looking jagged1 votePlease upgrade to a GPU to resolve this. By design lines on CPU are aliased, GPU rendering will fix this.

Pasting data from Excel often inserts it as low-res image
Trying to copy/paste a graph from Excel to Illustrator (or open a PDF from excel). Sometimes it pastes fine as vector shapes, but other times a complex graph paste as pixelated images(the lines still paste as vector lines though). For example instead of pasting a cluster of circles, it pastes a cluster of pixelated circle shapes with a mask....Why doesn't it just paste as vector circle shapes as usual? Is the graph too complex? What are my options?

Intermittently, Illustrator does NOT save the file.
Intermittently, when I save a file (using Ctrl-S or File > Save), the existing file is NOT saved. This has caused me to lose work.
The Illustrator UI thinks that the file has been saved - the File > Save option is greyed out. When I look in the file's location on disk, the existing file shows an older file date and time; the last time it saved successfully. There is a new file with the expected date and time and the extension "t".
I can do a "Save As" which works. I can make some trivial changes…

Illustrator CC2018 request font
1 - OSX High Sierra - 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5
2 - Starting Illustartor it request to download some font (see attached file)
3 - Tryed to download and Illustrator run correctly, but when I restart computer the messare is the same.
I alsto tryed to re-install Illustrator but the bug stay

Option key does not work at all.
My option key(s) suddenly doesn't function AT ALL, not in CC2018, nor CS5.1. Tried multiple keyboards, and two different iMacs, one running Sierra and the other High Sierra. Tried all updates to no avail. Works fine on my Mac at work running CC2017. Please help with this problem. It's crazy frustrating.

Direct selection tool not resizing selected artwork
When I try to click on an anchor point and resize my artwork with the direct selection tool, it does not resize the artwork anymore. It just moves the artwork. Fortunately, I can still use the Free Transform Tool to resize objects and artwork. This is on Windows 10 in Illustrator CC 22.1.

Targeting and moving selections between layers
I just upgraded to Illustrator CC 2018 (22.1). The layers interface has more bugs than a bait store. For one thing, I can no longer move targeted selections between layers, and the "release to layers" (build or sequence) doesn't expand named layers properly.
I'm a high-end packaging production designer. I have to work with vector art and therefore multiple layers are absolutely critical to mitigate file complexity. This is a serious problem as now I refuse to release mechanicals that would be untenable for vendors.
I'll need to revert back to Illustrator CC 2017, and can only hope and pray…

-Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 v22.1.0.312After updating the last MacOS 10.13.5 system, the cursor/pointer decides to randomly click on the work area. (it's not a mouse problem) This problem is very serious, because it doesn't make me work.

Crash when applying stroke
Illustrator often crashes when apply stroke to simple path or compound path. Crash seems random and inconsistent but happens 6-10 times a month.

Text stroke misaligned in Illustrator and when placed in Photoshop as smart object
Strokes seem to be misaligned when working on live small text and cannot be placed into Photoshop correctly to apply FX. Adobe CC

Pattern Tile Seam lines
Can we please find a way to fix those tiny 0.5 px seam lines we ALL have had to deal with for years? The ones that you see when you zoom in or out at certain levels? The ones that don't apparently print? However, they for sure show up when importing patterns into Photoshop, so they aren't just imaginary. When building a Photoshop pattern that begins as a vector pattern, it becomes a nightmare having to meticulously clone them out. Please fix this if at all possible!

Artboard tooltip cannot be dismissed
When I double click on an Artboard to open its properties, I receive a blue tooltip "Shift-click to select multiple artboards. Alternatively, Shift-drag to draw a marquee...". However, I am unable to dismiss this tooltip because the Artboard Options dialog is open, and that is at the highest z-index, and I cannot interact with any other interface unless I dismiss this dialog.

Welcome page doesn't seem to work
Clicking on the 'see what you can create' or 'swap colours' panels does nothing on my windows 10 machine in Illustrator and InDesign. I like the idea of this though!

updated eps files no longer preview
Running Mac OS 10.13.5, Illustrator CC 22.1
When opening an existing eps file, I make a change to the file and then save. Then, when importing that file into ID, the image will not preview, and I just get a gray box. This also happens if I do a "save as" and overwrite the old file with the same name. However, if I choose "save a copy," the file previews fine. Help?

AI can't open file
Using Windows 7 professional. Have AI 2015. Problem recently started occuring. I would save a file then go back in and try to open it and a box shows up saying it can't be opened. Would try to open another file and the screen would turn white with a time wheel. It would say AI has to close. Windows would contact if a solution was available. No solution!

Shape tools lagging and leaving mark when resizing
I just started using Illustrator CC 2018 on Windows 7. I began using some of the shape tools and started to experience an issue. Each time I go to resize a shape or move it, the shape leaves an impression of its previous size or location. I tried to uninstall Illustrator and then reinstall, yet the problem persists. If I minimize or maximize the art board the lines go away. I have also found that the smart guides don't work when re positioning the shapes.

Actions don’t record renaming of groups, don’t remember the choice in Expand dialog
I'm recording Actions to in Illustrator CC 2018 ( 22.1) and I've found a few things lacking:
1) When I group objects, and name the group, while recording an action the name does not get recorded.
The group just bears the name "group".2) If you choose "Expand" while recording an action and choose from the available options (Fill, Stroke, etc.), you are asked to make that choice again when the action runs — not much of an Action!
Aside from the above I find the lack of Conditional Action, as per Photoshop, feature disappointing: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/33770071

Placed graphic glitch
Placing a 1-bit BMP image and rotating in Ill2018 results in a broken image. Toggling the GPU Preview on fixes the appearance on screen, but exporting to JPG, the issue transfers to the output image.

global color slider occasionally stuck
We work from a preset set of colors that I have set up as global colors so that we can easily use percentages of each color in the projects we work on. I have found that not infrequently the global color slider will get "stuck" on the initial percentage it is set to. Trying to change the percentage by typing in a new percentage will get set back to the percentage that it was originally set to (I was just working on a project where I set it to 30% initially. That looked too faint so I typed in "40"…
