Custom guides make Illustrator unusable when viewed as dots
I've made guides out of a large number of lines (forming an iso grid). This works fine as long as I am viewing the guides as lines, but when changing the view to Dots in settings, Illustrator get so slow that I can't even move around in the document. I am using Windows 10 version 26.1. I also have v25.4.1 installed and it is the same thing there.
Maybe it would be less performance demanding if we could set transparancy on guides instead of using dots?

Mising Anchor Points not sure why
I am running the latest version of Illustrator CC from my Windows 10 PC. It is a project that I have been working on, both my computer and on my Ipad. I don't know if it is that I recently added materials from Substance on the computer, used the 3D options, then went to make changes on the Ipad later on, but now opening the document on the computer again, I am not getting any anchor points when using the direct selection tool. Can't open AI files until I delete settings
Every time I try to open a file, I get the beach ball of death...spinning forever.
I've discovered the only way to get illustrator (beta or release versions) to open a file again is to delete the settings in the Library and restart AI/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator version-number Settings

Find/Replace issue
The Find/Replace function is not replacing the string I am requesting. Maybe one or two items of many will change.
We work with hundreds of serial numbers at a time, and the working function is
essential to timely delivery of our services. We depend on this to change several serial prefixes at a time. Now I have to individually change each single serial number manually instead of just Finding/Replacing the prefix.
What is going on with this product? I've never had so many glitches to deal with until this product (latest version) went to Cloud. Please, please let us go…1 vote -
Illustrator 26.0.2 freezes, then crashes
Working on line drawings, Illustrator freezes and displays either a dark screen or many lines of the same part of the UI (like freeze-frame), then goes black and crashes.
The good news is that the auto-recover feature works (if I don't use Windows' End Task feature)

[Bug] Copy and paste broken - Unable to paste text without losing formatting, unable to paste shape+text
Hi there,
The copy and paste function within AI seems to have broken. This started a few days ago. I don't think there was a software update. No new software/hardware changes on my end either.
Operating system: macOSX v11.4
MBP (13" M1, 2020)
No clipboard enhancements/plugins/appsVersion of AI (Desktop): 25.4.1 and 25.3.1
Steps:
Scenario #1:
Copying and pasting a shape with text, within the same artboard
Result: Shape does not get pasted, text is pasted without original formatting, at Myriad Pro 12pt, changed from Area Type into Point Type.Scenario #2:

Crashes break CC linked assets in Recovered file.
When Illustrator 26.2.1 on Win10 Pro 21H2 crashes, CC-linked files are always broken in the recovered file. Please allow recovery files to remember the CC assets we so carefully curate and use daily - otherwise, we need to always embed external drawings (which sucks). Thanks!

New & Save As
New & Save As is not working in Illustrator. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, made sure all the preferences are the same, but there still seems to be the same issue. Is there going to be an update to fix this or is there something I can do my end to fix it? Thank you.

Problems with scripts and BridgeTalk using Illustrator 25.3.1 on M1 Mac
I have a handful of scripts that have stopped working after switching from an Intel Mac mini to an M1 Mac mini. The scripts will run as expected if I use the Intel version of Illustrator on the M1 Mac mini, but they return this error when run using the M1 version of Illustrator on the same machine "TARGET COULD NOT BE LAUNCHED(59)". The current culprit seems to be BridgeTalk. Any help would be appreciated, thx!
13 votesThe workaround for this is to update to the latest build, 25.3.1, which doesn't contain Bridge related changes for Mac ARM — that's why this error is happening.

Recording Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical as an Action and running it crashes Illustrator
Apple M1 Mac Mini

Assign F4 as shortcut key
Record "Flip horizontal" under Transform panel menu
Stop recording
Select an object
Press F4
Illustrator crashes

Getting "This file cannot be found" when saving a new file. Can't save my ai file.
Title says it all.

The colors in the closed file are persistently and almost forcibly trying to enter the palette.
Let's say a spot color was used in a previous work and somehow copied. Later, when the file job is finished and I start another new job even though I have closed it, the copied color in the closed file persistently and almost forcibly tries to enter the palette. I tried to describe it simply in the video.

「可能な限りファイルを復元しましたが、一部のコンテンツが欠落している可能性があります。」
とエラーメッセージが出て、開くと１２ページほどあったアートボードが最初の１ページだけになっていました。
３０時間以上かけて作ったデータが謎のエラーで消えました・・・。自動保存されたデータはないのでしょうか？

I'm trying to copy the name of my working file and paste it into the name of the folder I just created (with the help of the keyboard shortcut), but it doesn't paste the name. I have to paste the name with the help of right click of the mouse. Can you fix this situation?

Delays and Sluggishness
For the 30+ years I've been using Adobe Illustrator, I don't think I have every really been bothered by the app or an update until last year. Now when you open AI, make a new file, or try to drag content around on a canvas or move the page around using the hand tool, the app is very lethargic and jerky. It is as if it is validating all actions by an online verification before any action is done. This really makes using the app frustratingly slow.

Gradient does not show when it is being applied on live text
Sometimes i feel handicapped while working with gradients.
It feels like that Illustrator is holding my leg when working with gradients.Gradient does not show when it is being applied on live text (not outlined text), making it difficult to see the current gradient direction and placement when mouse is pressed. Gradient shows when mouse is released.

Fonts fail to outline when exporting DXF file
Windows 11, Illustrator 26.3.1
I'm Exporting DXF files to a laser cutter. The outline font option in the export dialogue appears to be ineffective. Fonts aren't outlined and the font element doesn't appear in the exported file. All other elements are present. Outlining prior to export until I can downgrade to a previous version.
Recent PC death forced me to upgrade from Illustrator 2015 (I think) which had no issue with outlining fonts.1 vote -
Quitte inopinément
Avec le système monterey sur un iMac neuf et récent ainsi que sur iPad M1 neuf, l’appli quitte à la moindre action dès lors qu il y a plusieurs calques. Impossible de travailler professionnellement comme avant. Il s’agit peut-être d’une incompatibilité système et nécessite une mise à jour d’urgence.

New File Preset Details Fields Are Misaligned Vertically (Cut off)
When creating a New File, the measurement presets (width, height, bleed) are too high within their respective input fields. This causes the digits in each of the fields to be cut off at the top. I've attempted to resolve the issue by scaling the window, updating Illustrator, deleting preferences, and installing/reinstalling the application. Issue unresolved.
